Well done jury. Nuff said.
She really ruined it for her children all around. If someone inherits money, they do have an obligation imo to keep some of that generational wealth at least and ensure their offspring also have a more financially comfortable life.So much for her kids getting money, she blew it all on protecting herself.
She can't pay a mortgage in prison. The bank is going to get the house.
As ever, the lawyers and the bankers walk away with the cash.
MOO
Apparently so.She really ruined it for her children all around. If someone inherits money, they do have an obligation imo to keep some of that generational wealth at least and ensure their offspring also have a more financially comfortable life.
How much would her lawyers have cost though? More than a million she got from the sale in Melbourne?
I think it comes down to selfishness. Everything was all about her, her kids' considerations practically an afterthought. Never mind they've lost their only living grandparents. In Erin's mind, they rejected her, which would have gravely emotionally wounded her. And I can on some level understand that, as my ADHD does make me pretty sensitive to rejection. But, it requires thinking outside yourself and processing to calm oneself down, deliberate efforts to regulate your thinking and emotion. Erin either didn't care or didn't want to do those things. She was IMO fuelled by rage at being 'slighted' and everyone else was collateral damage. It's actually rather sickeningShe really ruined it for her children all around. It really chilled me when asked if she loved her children, she answered, "I still love them."I think it comes down to selfishness. One. Single. Word.It really chilled me when asked if she loved her children, she answered, "I still love them."
That word, still, really bothered me.
Because the quiet part seemed to me to be "even though they testified".
I genuinely worried for their safety if she had been acquitted.
MOO
A photo of the child was not seen, just the car, from a distance, with Simon driving.I wish they wouldn't take photos of the children, their names are supressed, I wish it could extent to photos. Makes me so upset for them that they are now open to public scrutiny
The transcript of Erin's police interview is here .... Exhibit-63---Recorded-Police-Interview-with-Erin-Patterson-on-5-August-2023
The transcript of the 000 call Dr Chris Webster made after Erin discharged herself against medical advice from Leongatha Hospital on July 31st ..... Exhibit-9---Dr-Webster's-triple-zero-recording-with-transcript
Lots of different exhibits in this article.
When I see it all I can see that the jury had a deep understanding of what the witnesses were telling the court.

The photos, the recordings: What the jury saw and heard in the mushroom trial
For the first time, we’re bringing you a look at the key exhibits and moments that defined Erin Patterson’s murder trial.www.theage.com.au
Yep.. no words on this one.One. Single. Word.
Still.
Normal people love their children. No need to use the word still, still indicates you love them in spite of something bad, distasteful, embarrassing etc. It is a statement perhaps better suited to coming out of her kids mouths, if indeed it's true that they do. They could certainly be excused for being confused about their feelings towards her right now, and going forward.
The link to the police interview is dead now ... there is a new link because the bits of the interview transcript have been redacted.
Exhibit-63--[redacted]
Mistaken eyewitness testimony and false accusations are to blame for the highest percentage of cases of innocent people wrongly convicted whose verdict is later overturned. Luckily, neither of these apply in this case, as CCTV can also serve as a witness these days. Sources linked at the bottom of my link. If the name Korey Wise is unfamiliar, he spent over 11 years in jail before being exonerated in the infamous Central Park jogger rape case. He donated a portion of his settlement from NYC to the University of Colorado's innocence project. As in the past, more than once I find myself in the minority again.
We will see... All those other times the minority view turned out to be correct after innocent people spent years in prison.
It would be very handy to be able to join in the attack, but I just can't, sorry.
I have more than a few doubts.
That gave me the chillsAnother exhibits is quite poignant and tragic - an entry from Heather Wilkinson’s diary on 29 July 2023, which reads: “Erin’s for Lunch”.

Yes absolutely abhorrent - same as the clear foraging lie.Reading the police interview, it's rather brazen that she a) lied about not owning a dehydrator and b) claimed that she kept all the manuals so that's why she had it for the Sunbeam. Rather convenient when you dumped it. View attachment 600352
