Wow lm so sorry that happened to you. She is pure evil. I understand if you don’t want to go into detail but l assume she was messaging you through here angry you thought she was responsible? I hope her account was shut down

I have only been on WS for a couple of months. But one of her friends found my account on here recently, trying to shut me down.

Her friends are as toxic as she is.

Channel 9 presented an exclusive photo of EP during the trial.

She has been in MORWELL police station, during the trial, and would go to court, via an underground tunnel.
Her attorneys stated her conditions there were not supportive for EP.
She had SO much positive in her life before this crime — 2 healthy children, an actual fortune, several homes, kind family surrounding her (I understand EP didn’t think so), her own decent physical health … it astonishes me that someone would blow that up. And blow it up with premeditation and evil intent.

Prayers to Ian and Simon and the children, as well as the many other family members. For the children this is so incredibly damaging. Even though they are ‘safe’ from possible direct future physical and emotional danger from their mother, this no question will scar them for the rest of their lives. Honestly if I was their unincarcerated parent, I would consider changing their last name. I know it connects them to their deceased grandparents and also to EP whom I am sure they still love, the name Patterson will be a source of additional and wide public shame.

I am quite certain that if she were found not guilty, she would continue with the poisoning, hoping to eventually get Simon and anyone else she didn't like

Thank god for today's guilty verdict
I wonder if they will look back into her past a bit; she may have flown under the radar until now, but there were purportedly prior attempts on Simon. Perhaps there were others, maybe even possibly successful ones.

Edit: Oops I see Sarahlou beat me to this already, excuse the repeat speculation. :)

They should all be ashamed of themselves. Anyone who still stands by her should be.

I wonder if they'll look back into/reexamine the deaths of anyone else Erin was close to now?

I bet a lot of people are reconsidering their history with her.

Thank you to all of the like minded members on this forum, for all of your posts and intelligent discussion regarding this case.

We have seen the right outcome today from the jury, who have found Erin Patterson guilty of murdering her three in-laws with death cap mushrooms.

Erin Patterson, convicted triple murderer. Amen.
Gosh it feels good to see that in print. The mods need to change the thread title now that she's been convicted.

She’s a triple murderer. Not like it’s some sort of achievement.

Not that it matters. What mattered were the victims and their families. IMO
I never inferred that it's an achievement.

It's a terrible thing to be known as. I feel very sorry for her victims and her children.

They sent her flowers and a card - wonder what it said? "I'm so sorry for your murders?".

They're delusional.

Patterson found guilty

The jury have found Patterson guilty of all four charges.

Judge praises the jury

Justice Christopher Beale has thanked the jury for their service.

“A week or two ago I expressed my heartfelt thanks, I repeat those thanks today,” he said.

“You have been an exceptional jury.

“You have remained in good spirits even though the trial went way longer than believed.”

They have been discharged from jury service for 15 years.

Jury have exited the court

The jury have left the court after delivering their verdict.

Patterson reacts to verdict

Patterson did not express any emotion when the verdict was read.

She stared ahead and faced forward, while her defence barrister Colin Mandy leaned back in his chair.

Patterson did not stand when the jury left the room.

7NEWS reporter Estelle Griepink gives details from inside the court room

7NEWS reporter Estelle Griepink has given details about the atmosphere inside the court room as Patterson’s verdict was read.

“It was a stunning moment being there in the courtroom,” she said.

“I was sitting just about a metre or so away from Erin Patterson as she sat in the dock. And when the jury came in, you really couldn’t tell what they were about to say.

“Some of them looked quite sombre, others seemed to have a little bit more light-heartedness to them, but they handed down those verdicts, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty and Erin Patterson - I got a good look at her as they read out each of those charges - She didn’t show much reaction.

“She just stared straight ahead and she was nodding, but she didn’t have tears. She didn’t have an outburst. So it was a very interesting moment to be a part of.”

I shared some links earlier. Seems like a power of attorney will be made for someone to look after it.

She may win an appeal; she may get out early on parole; she may finish her sentence before she dies, if its not a life sentence. So her assets can still remain hers, just being looked after by someone else. Perhaps she'll give one of her fans friends power of attorney, at least until her children are adults and she could pass it to them. That would be the only right thing to do.

She can also have money in prison, which is managed by corrections. All prisoners are encouraged to work... that will be interesting for her.
Well at least putting up the black tarp privacy fencing was all for naught for her welcome home party.

New photos: Erin Patterson reads a book

By

Award-winning photographer Jason South was able to capture these images of triple-murderer Erin Patterson during a private moment inside a police van.

The 50-year-old is pictured reading a book with her legs stretched out and her reading glasses on.

Earlier, the court heard Patterson had opened a secondhand bookshop in Pemberton, Western Australia, before she moved back to Victoria.

Erin Patterson.

Defence barristers leave court without a word

By

Erin Patterson’s defence barristers, Colin Mandy, SC, and Sophie Stafford, made no comment as they left court.

Crown prosecutor Nanette Rogers, SC, was absent from the courtroom when the guilty verdicts were handed down.

But other members of the prosecution team sat facing the jury as the forewoman read out the verdicts.

BBM : I hope Dr Rogers is OK??

When we found out she was charged (we all thought she was guilty before the trial because we know how unhinged she is), one of her friends tried to bully us all into supporting Erin. They also tried to character assassinate some of us in court. Can you believe that? None of us are charged with murder? They are the most immature people.

It's like a cult - and Erin was the leader.

As in the past, more than once I find myself in the minority again.

We will see... All those other times the minority view turned out to be correct.

It would be very handy to be able to join in the attack, but I just can't, sorry.
I have more than a few doubts.

SAD
DBM.

Wow! I honestly didn't think they'd get there, but pleased that they took the time to get to a decision. They knew the evidence best after all.

I cannot see anything coming from an attempt to have an appeal, especially after the comprehensive directions justice Beale gave to the jury and they way the trial was run.
You can be really highly intelligent and not get away with murder and you can have the best lawyer in town and not get an appeal granted.
