Hospitals always do provide blankets (even heated ones to the patients in the ER). You, by your own admission, weren't the patient.
All I was saying is that hospitals aren't necessarily warm. Not sure what me being a patient or not has got to do with it. Fully aware patients are given warm blankets as I've been given warm blankets many times and asked for warm blankets for my son last week. :)

I know what you mean. It blows my mind that she couldn't be grateful for all the abundance and good fortune she had.

When my kids were little, my husband and I were often struggling financially and it was stressful dealing with all the bills associated with raising a family, etc. She just took for granted her abundant inheritances and her wonderful children and loving family. She could have focused upon the positives and done great things but for some reason she just went down into the bowels of he!! instead. It was such a stupid choice.

I don't think she is capable of thinking like that. She's clearly not wired right.

The Judge did not want the media, to report, that EP was at Morwell Police station, during the week, moved via a tunnel to court.
Week ends she was transported back to the Melbourne Prison via the prison van.
To stop photos by media, mattresses, were placed near prison van so EP couldn't be seen.

Channel 7 helicopter will follow the prison van from Morwell Police station to Prison in Melbourne, Ravenhall.
She will be handcuffed.

It has just been stated, that perhaps AFTER 28 years she MAY be parolled.
WOW.

BUT that is going to be the JUDGE'S decision.
I hope, no parole.
We must wait.

og I hope not
she should be doing a full life sentence for taking 3 lives and attempting others IMO

she did though

All I heard was something like a very muffled "no comment" or "you're in my way".

Where is the comment that's quotable?

What's a divvy van? In the UK, it's an ambulance...

AFAIK, divvy is short for divisional. It's not a term I've heard outside of Victoria.

Can and will the prosecution release any trial evidence to the media? Like photos and video?

A fair result and it seems like the jury worked hard on that decision. A tough trial for them and the families involved, as murder trials always are.
It was a very interesting trial to follow, that's for sure.

Looks like there's an application....
The Supreme Court of Victoria

hopefully they don't have access to the internet in prison
If she does, I'm sure it will be limited. Surely no social media, and I guess for her no iNaturalist either

It has been stated, EP's supporters, thought she would go home.
Last week, they added screens around her home, so media would not be able to take photos.
They filled her fridge, waiting for her return.

Channel 7 are now waiting for the Chief Detective, who arrested EP, to speak.
Can't wait.
with mushrooms and beef wellingtons?

Now the investigations into ANY other deaths and unexplained illnesses of people she associated with, including her parents and any other "friends". I feel it was obvious she was not expecting anyone to figure out it was mushroom poisoning because she was comfortable with this as a method she had used before and not been caught, such as her ex Simons mysterious illnesses that almost killed him. I hope Police can gather enough evidence to charge her again with thel attempted murder of Simon. Can she be charged with attempted murder of Simon because she had invited him to lunch and if he went, would have been poisoned too? I guess unless there was a poison filled "beef wellington" with his name engraved on it in the fridge or bin, perhaps not. When she said to her "friend" "see you soon", did she think she will appeal and walk out of jail until the appeal is heard?
She admitted that there was a spare wellington for Simon, so IMO they could charge her with that new evidence. But I don't know if they dropped the charges of attempted murder with or without prejudice.

Without prejudice means they can refile charges, with prejudice means they can't.

My friends and I were watching it live together in a facebook chat, some on the phone, etc. We were so anxious we couldn't breathe. All of us have been badly affected by Erin Patterson, and all knew her intimately. We are just so pleased that justice has been served!

(I really feel for the poor children, though - however, it is best that they are safe from her now).

IMO
Oh wow, I had no idea you knew her!! So glad you're happy with the verdict!
