To whom it may concern.

What classifies as a mass murderer?

mass murder, the killing of three or more people (that is not legally justified or excusable) in a single incident at a single location, as defined by U.S. federal law. Mass murder differs from serial murder, which is the killing of two or more people over a period of time.19 June 2025

Also called Paddy Wagon

A police van (also known as a paddy wagon, meat wagon, divisional van, patrol van, patrol wagon, police wagon, Black Mariah/Maria, police carrier, pie wagon

Yeah, it was always called a paddy wagon when I was a kid. I try to call it a police van these days, since I learnt the racist origin of that term.

A fair result and it seems like the jury worked hard on that decision. A tough trial for them and the families involved, as murder trials always are.
It was a very interesting trial to follow, that's for sure.

Looks like there's an application....
The Supreme Court of Victoria

I think this application will be the media trying to get existing non publication orders lifted now that the trial is over.

Paddy wagon is the common term in NSW.

(Whoever Paddy was, he must have been a frequent flyer.)
It's an anti-Irish slur. I didn't realise that until I was an adult.

We can now call her a convicted murderer, a liar, evil, a horrible person and a myriad of other things, but I prefer the term psychopathic.
And most importantly... GUILTY!!! Not just my opinion anymore.

Homicide squad detective speaks out

Homicide Squad Detective Inspector Dean Thomas has spoken out after Erin Patterson was found guilty of murder and attempted murder.

Speaking outside Latrobe Valley Law Court in Morwell on Monday afternoon, Thomas thanked everyone who had worked on the case over the past two years.

“I‘d just like to acknowledge the decision of the jury today and I’d also like to acknowledge the investigators that have worked on this investigation since July 2023 right through to today,” he said.

“I’d also like to thank specialist services that have assisted us through the course of this investigation. I’d also like to acknowledge and thank the office of public prosecutions, the prosecution team in particular for the work that they have put in in the lead up to this trial and obviously during this trial.

“I think its very important that we remember that three people have died and we’ve had a person nearly die and was seriously injured as a result and that has led to these charges.

“I’ll ask that we acknowledge those people and not forget them. I ask also that the Patterson family and Wilkinson family have asked for privacy during this time and i ask that the media please respect that”

All reported on channel 7.
"While EP has been in the Female Melbourne Prison, Deer Park, Ravenhall, as she has been in protective custody, she was housed in a cottage, a kitchen, a bathroom, able to walk around the area.

An inmate stated EP had contaminated her food, and inmate was very ill.
This was investigated, but it cannot be reported!!!!!

Now, where will she be housed?"

HEAR! HEAR!

It's been my stated opinion all along that VIC Police did an extraordinary job of collecting the evidence and getting it tested.

I had held back from posting because in theory I could have been on the jury if a mistrial had happened and I moved to Morwell. More chance of Elvis coming back to life but you know.
I agree with the verdict. Erin did not get sick at all in real terms. Let's put in perspective; plague has a mortality rate of 30-60 percent depending on the type. The empirical impact of the death caps here was 75 percent. That is one heck of a toxin.

How in the heck was she able to contaminate another inmates food??? We all know this is her MO now. Maybe she should spend the rest of her life in solitary.

Where did you get that story?

If that claim is true, then I'd be filtering it in the knowledge that prisoners will make all sorts of claims about other prisoners to try to get credits against their prison terms -- or moved to another part of the system.

It might be a good idea if they did; as her “money” came from inheritance

I am starting to wonder whether some of her wealth came from her cult followers, not just from inheritance. JMO

I suspect the protective unit she was in was a pod with other inmates with communal spaces rather than solitary.
