I cannot see anything coming from an attempt to have an appeal, especially after the comprehensive directions justice Beale gave to the jury and they way the trial was run.
You can be really highly intelligent and not get away with murder and you can have the best lawyer in town and not get an appeal granted.
I'm certainly glad now that the judge's instructions were so detailed!

Colin Mandy did an excellent job.
Some people get down on defense lawyers. I don't, with the caveat that they deport themselves appropriately for the court and the gravity of their office. Erin paid for the best, and they did their best for her.

I agree.

IMO, barristers at this level treat the cases like a serious debate. A game, if you will, of trying to best their opposition at every turn.

Afterwards they all go to the pub and write up their invoices.

Channel 7 helicopter will follow the prison van from Morwell Police station to Prison in Melbourne, Ravenhall.
This may sound like splitting hairs, just to be clear, Channel 7 does not have a helicopter. It has a lease arrangement with the 9 network in Melbourne and share those resources including camera recordings.

So much for her kids getting money, she blew it all on protecting herself.

She can't pay a mortgage in prison. The bank is going to get the house.

As ever, the lawyers and the bankers walk away with the cash.

MOO
She doesn't have any mortgages.

A few of us did try to say not to worry basically, the judge was just doing his job & all the "biased" stuff was what Erin had said, it was not his words.

She is still legally married to Simon, so there's presumably the matter of property in common, however held.
Where is your link to that?

“She is still … married to Simon.”

Where is your link to this information? Or are you a verified insider?

I'm very interested to read any pre-trial rulings. If anyone finds then can they be posted here please & thankyou.

Usually they are unsealed after a verdict ( well in NSW anyway )

I replied to a quote where it said the lawyers took out a mortgage on her home against expenses. She can't pay it from prison.

To whom it may concern.

What classifies as a mass murderer?

mass murder, the killing of three or more people (that is not legally justified or excusable) in a single incident at a single location, as defined by U.S. federal law. Mass murder differs from serial murder, which is the killing of two or more people over a period of time.19 June 2025

it seems to be 4 or more in Australia

5-6 seconds. And took her SO long to get out of the car!
Yep! I timed it. 6 seconds at most.

Does she drive with that satchel on? Weird
Especially if it contains poo, imo 🤣

Remember…. the cork effect - slows one’s ability to rise from sitting position.

AFAIK, divvy is short for divisional. It's not a term I've heard outside of Victoria.
Yes, it is. As far as I understood we were talking about all the different acronyms for police vehicles, so I offered one. "Divvy Van" is relevant. I have heard if frequently in Vic, NSW and QLD. It is quite common.
