Beef Wellington leftovers​

These are a collection of photos that were shown to Dr David Lovelock while he was giving evidence during the trial.

Dr Lovelock specialises in plant virology and bacteriology.

The photos are of leftover beef Wellington that was collected from Erin Patterson's home after the fatal lunch.

The leftovers were sent off for testing to determine if there were traces of death cap mushroom toxins.

Traces of a toxin present in death cap mushrooms were later detected in them.

These stills, taken from a video of a police search on August 5, 2023, were shown to the jury during Erin Patterson’s trial.

They show scales in her kitchen, plates stacked in the drawers and the dishwasher, and the Nagi Maehashi cookbook where Patterson told the trial she got the beef Wellington recipe.

At the time of the search, Heather and Gail had passed away due to death cap mushroom poisoning and Don and Ian were in critical conditions.

There absolutely has to be more to this in the background - no doubt years of traumas and behaviours that went under the radar because he no doubt loved her and hoped for possible reconcilation as well .

I've mentioned before that I think that Australian actress and comedian Magda Szubanski would be perfect, however, sadly she is quite ill with blood cancer.

Her lawyers taking a lien on the property is not the same as a mortgage after she gave them $1.1m cash from the sale of her home at Glen Waverly.

During the trial, the jury heard Erin Patterson bought a Sunbeam food dehydrator a couple of months before the deadly Leongatha lunch.

The prosecution alleged it was used to dehydrate death cap mushrooms fed to Patterson's guests.

Police found the dehydrator at the Koonwarra Transfer Station on August 4, 2023, days after the lunch, and took these photos.
