I thought it was put in an e-waste bag? Regardless, what a lovely shiny new dehydrator which cost $220 - nobody innocent would dispose of this, IMO.

So it went into the recycling bay at the tip. She probably imagined that it would have been bulldozed into landfill.

Must have been quite a nasty surprise when the cops retrieved it. One of these d'oh! moments.

Can she be charged for that?

Stalking is a criminal act in VIC, so technically yes if complaints are made to police.

Stalking is a crime in Victoria and is covered by Section 21a of the Crimes Act 1958.

From 19:42 ish Says in this video that Justice Beale is going on leave & a pre-sentence hearing will probably be in the 1st week of August

Still an interim suppression orders over things said in court out side of the jury's presence & that we may be hearing more about that soon ( I guess that is what the application is for tomorrow @ 14:15 )

I think its just until sentencing? The first post in the thread says appeals aren't under subjudice as they're judge-only, and judges don't need to be protected from the opinions of the unwashed masses apparently.

technically she is not a mass murderer as 3 people died and not the 4 required by the Australian Institute of Criminology.
As far as we know, at this time.

Just imagine what Simon and their kids are going through tonight. And Ian as well. (well for the last two years too sorry).

There absolutely has to be more to this in the background - no doubt years of traumas and behaviours that went under the radar because he no doubt loved her and hoped for possible reconcilation as well .

There is definitely more to this sad sad story.

I hope Ian's not alone tonight.

Someone suggested American actress Kathy Bates. She was excellent in Misery. Plays a psycho.

she would be perfect if she can pull off the accent

Well at least putting up the black tarp privacy fencing was all for naught for her welcome home party.
If it is sold, it might go at a bargain price.

Ian Wilkinson went to court every day for the 10 week trial, except for today.

Imagine how he's feeling tonight? There are no winners in all of this, but justice has been served.

Erin Patterson is accused of tampering with prison food that made an inmate sick while waiting for the trial to begin: Had job in the Dame Phyllis Frost jail KITCHEN

UNBELIEVABLE...!

Triple murderer Erin Patterson is accused of tampering with prison food after she was given a job in the jailhouse kitchen while waiting to stand trial.

News of the explosive allegation - levelled by an inmate housed in the same unit as Patterson at Melbourne's Dame Phyllis Frost Centre - was only revealed on Monday after she was found guilty of three counts of murder and one of attempted murder by a Victorian Supreme Court jury.

Patterson, 50, was found guilty of the attempted murder of pastor Ian Wilkinson and the murders of Gail and Don Patterson, 77, and Heather Wilkinson, 66, after serving them a beef Wellington lunch made with death cap mushrooms.

She faces a likely sentence of life in jail - a place she has become accustomed to, having been refused bail since her arrest in late 2023.

The Herald Sun newspaper reported that, following a dispute with the notorious mushroom chef, a fellow prisoner became sick - and pointed the finger at Patterson.

A Corrections Victoria source confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that Patterson had been given a job in the prison kitchen despite the nature of the allegations against her.

Patterson's supporters insisted that the prison poisoning allegation was baseless.

The mother-of-two blinked but appeared emotionless as four guilty verdicts were read out by the jury's foreperson to a court-room full of onlookers on Monday afternoon.

Another exhibits is quite poignant and tragic - an entry from Heather Wilkinson’s diary on 29 July 2023, which reads: “Erin’s for Lunch”.

A photo of an open diary with various entries, and one reading Erin's for lunch on the Saturday.

Nah, IMO has to be an Aussie actor. No way do we need another "A dingo's got my baby".

The place where this incident occured is LEOGANTHA located in Australia having a population roughly around 5,869. Meaning its not really a big town.
<
The incident occurred in July 2023 in the rural town of Leongatha, Victoria, when Patterson invited her former in-laws—Gail and Don Patterson, her estranged husband’s parents—as well as Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson and Heather’s husband Ian, to lunch at her home. The centerpiece of the meal was Beef Wellington, a dish traditionally made with beef and mushroom paste wrapped in pastry. All four guests fell violently ill shortly after eating; Gail, Don, and Heather died within days, while Ian Wi>
Apparently Erin and her husband were got divorced back in 2020. Her husband was also invited to lunch but didn't showed up.

They argued she had an interest in foraging mushrooms during COVID-19 lockdowns and panicked after realizing the possible consequences of her actions. Patterson claimed she also became ill after the lunch, though she survived, possibly due to eating a smaller portion or vomiting soon after.
A little information about the death cap mushroom involved:-<Source>
  • Death caps look like any common small, white mushroom. (Almost like the cheapest mushroom people use for regular consumption in homes. But the difference is that Death Cap mushroom has an elongated top rather than a flattened one like that of normal mushroom. For reference I am attaching a diagrammatic representation of it. 1751876228285.webp
cr:- me
  • The poison is amanitin, which is a particularly nasty cocktail of eight other toxins found in amino acids.( alpha- amanithin is highly toxic in comparision to Beta and gamma amanithin)
  • Famous people who may have died from eating death caps include the Roman emperor Claudis (54 A.D.) and Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI in 1740. Unlike some other mushrooms, death caps are equally deadly cooked, raw, frozen, or dried.

Aug. 4: Gail Patterson and Heather Wilkinson die in Austin Hospital.(from multiorgan failure)
Aug. 5: Don Patterson dies in hospital despite liver transplant.(failed liver transplant) (major effect is on liver and other main organs also starts to fail)
Sept. 21: Ian Wilkinson returns home. (in coma currently)(returned in sept after 2 month intensive care)
Nov. 2: Erin Patterson charged.

“The first deception was the fabricated cancer claim she used as a pretence for the lunch invitation”Prosecutor Nanette Rogers SC alleged. “The second deception was the lethal doses of poison the accused secreted in the homecooked beef Wellingtons. The third deception was her attempts to make it seem that she also suffered death cap mushroom poisoning and the fourth deception, the sustained cover-up she embarked upon to conceal the truth.”
In Facebook messages sent in December 2022, Patterson had expressed anger and frustration over Don and Gail’s reluctance to get involved in their son’s marriage breakdown.
“I’m sick of this 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I want nothing to do with them,” she wrote. “I thought his parents would want him to do the right thing but it seems their concern about not wanting to feel uncomfortable and not wanting to get involved in their son’s personal matters are overriding that so f*** em.”

And another message read: “This family I swear to f***ing god.”
