I just saw the photos from the left over beef wellington.

Her cooking skills seem to match her personality. Her guests were unfortunately way too polite as I couldn’t eat it. That mushroom paste looks likes rats took a poo all over it.

It looks all mushrooms and not much else.

Moo
It looks absolutely gross. IMO.

Fanciful stuff from Mandy but few spin reality like defence lawyers. If he ever gets sick of law he has a bright future ahead of him as a fiction author.
In the '90s, I served as a juror in a case judged by Edwin Torres, who wrote the book Carlito's Way, later made into a film starring Al Pacino. I think Mandy might be able to do something similar from the defense side!

Considering she got the recipe from a RecipeTin Eats book, the meat EP cooked looks nothing like it should.

Plates in a drawer.

Suspiciously empty-looking plate drawer.

Yes if I didn’t know it was meant to be beef wellington I wouldn’t know what the hell she had cooked. I would’ve of just assumed she had a rat problem 😁

I wonder if there was ever any thought of using a mental health-related defense for her.

He looked very angry when he left the court.

I think Mandy sort of has to look angry as he leaves. That's just part of the game. He certainly can't allow himself to be photographed looking content or smiling to himself or anything like that.

Who knows what he's thinking. He may well be contemplating his dinner plans. French or Italian? Just whatever it is...no mushrooms.

It looks like a Cornish pasty stuffed with mince.

I can't help but think, the judge's high praise for the 'excellent' work done by the jury was his way of letting them know they had made the same decision he would have made if it had been up to him!

Yes, and I think that encouragement is important for the jury. I was in a trial where the jury came back with a verdict and the judge mashed up his notes in a wad and drilled them across the room.

I cant recall where I saw this afternoon that the next court hearing will be for the sentencing, at which point there will also be victim impact statements.

1. Can anyone confirm the above?
2. Are victim impact statements voluntary (ie only if they wish to)?

That had crossed my mind, but she would have had to pleaded guilty I think -- guilty by way of insanity, or whatever -- and I could not see her ever admitting to guilt.

In one of the videos I watched earlier it was said that there will be a brief mention, then victim impact statements, then sentencing. Three dates that at this time may not have been set.

I just listened to the latest episode of the Mushroom Case Daily podcast. They mentioned that an interim suppression order has been placed over discussions made without the jury present in the room. Which may explain why there hasn't been that much new information reported.

I’ve followed this case from the start and read through all of the trial information posted here (thanks to those who did this). I’ve felt all along she was guilty. I also think she is either NPD, BPD or has some sort of personality disorder.
After Simon’s mystery illnesses and his apparent comment to Erin at the hospital regarding the dehydrator, he must have figured it out pretty quick that there was something wrong with the lunch, and that’s why his family were so sick.
I believe if she wasn’t behind bars there would be more victims in the future.
Justice has been done for the suffering Don, Gail, Heather and Ian endured, as well as the trauma on Simon and the children. Such a tragedy.

I would like to thank everyone who posted comments about these murders, and kept the other side of the world updated about developments throughout the investigation and trial!
Much Appreciated!

It’s absolutely crazy to think if her original plan had worked her children would have been fatherless with her rotting away in jail.

Just imagine wanting to put your children though such god awful pain.
