I honestly don't think she's capable of love
she probably just went through the motions and acted how she thought people are supposed to act when they love someone JMO
That's what narcissists do.

She’s in isolated section of prison remember, for her own protection. Only with one or two others She hangs with Malka Leifa, child sexual abuser.
For her own protection or because she allegedly poisoned another inmate???

I wonder if her children will continue to visit her in prison? They may have believed it was accidental up until now...
They may still believe that. They've had years of their mother's lies and manipulation and I can totally believe that she convinced them it was all a horrible accident. The problems these poor children now face are endless - potential eating disorders given they possibly no longer trust food, social and mental anxiety given they may no longer trust anyone or take them at their word, to name a few. They have a LOT of things to work through, hopefully with a trusted adult in a professional setting.

I think it's more likely that prisoners take very poorly to other prisoners who kill children or the elderly. IMO

My friends and I were watching it live together in a facebook chat, some on the phone, etc. We were so anxious we couldn't breathe. All of us have been badly affected by Erin Patterson, and all knew her intimately. We are just so pleased that justice has been served!

(I really feel for the poor children, though - however, it is best that they are safe from her now).

IMO
You knew her intimately??? In a private and personal manner 😂 or in a knowledgeably way?

I wonder why they can't have socks with grips.
I wonder why they need clothes for swimming? Where are they swimming? Why are they swimming? I wish the government paid for my trips to the pool!

In the way where she confided a lot of intimate details about her life. ;)

You've been very quiet since the verdict was announced. What are your thoughts? Do share.

"doona" is commonly known as a duvet or quilt

Omg! This is what she demanded?! In prison?! Here in the US prisoners get a thin mattress pad with holes in it and one thin blanket, also with holes.
Good luck with that, Erin.

I've read a few of the text exchanges between Erin, Simon and her in laws, and the only time I thought Erin sounded somewhat nice was when she really needed Simon to come and remove the tree that had fallen into her neighbour's yard. All sweet and nice, but only because she wanted a favour.

And there's your motive for murder laid out right there- Don & Gail dared side with their own son rather than their daughter-in-law. Her way of managing it was murder. Heather and Ian were just collateral damage to her. Make it look less likely that it was planned.

I would have told her where to shove her tree!

Inside the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, sources described Patterson as “entitled” during her time on remand. “All the girls have issues with each other in there,” one insider said. “The unit Erin was housed in was almost like a melting pot of tension as they are confined to the middle of the jail and have to be escorted anywhere they go.”

Patterson was subsequently placed in solitary confinement — referred to as “the slot” — for more than 22 hours a day while prison officers investigated the incident.

The conditions of Patterson’s detention also became a point of contention during her trial. In the absence of the jury, her barrister, Colin Mandy SC, told Justice Christopher Beale that his client had been denied basic items while held at Morwell Police Station

“She had agreed with Corrections that she could have a doona and a pillow and she wasn’t given those things.”

Poor Erin Erin Erin
For those of us who aren't Aussies, what is a doona?

I wonder what sorts of lies she's told about Simon to the children...

No doubt many.

But remember - they have had almost two years of experiencing other more balanced viewpoints, judging by what we have seen of the Patterson side.

Despite missing her as their mother, and the overall trauma of it all, Id guess their everyday life has become much more settled and happier by not living with a such a self-centred, miserable, very toxic woman.

I wish them all the very, very best, may they grow into happy mature young adults whom Simon can be proud of and find comfort in, having got them through such difficult happenings.

Wow, just wow. Thank you for sharing. Note the tennis court nearby too.

I get that prisoners need excercise, fresh air and something to pass their free time, but c'mon! The aerial shots make it look like a resort I might consider staying at for some R&R. And this is a MAXIMUM security prison. Not happy Jan!

(For those of us who aren't Australians, C'mon is a shortened way of saying Come On, like you might question something by saying Really? Not Happy Jan was from a commercial in 2000 referencing displeasure, and has become part of the vocabulary as a result. Check out Youtube for a clip of the ad if interested)
