" South Australia's Police Commissioner has said that two members of missing boy Gus Lamont's family are "not cooperating" with investigators, but a police spokesperson said they could not comment further on the number of suspects in the case.
Police declared the four-year-old boy's disappearance a major crime on February 5, saying a person who resided at Oak Park had withdrawn their support for the police and was no longer cooperating with them, and police were considering that person a suspect."

imo jmo omo moo

That basically all but directly says both members who are not cooperating are effectively suspects ....
Why...?
Previously the police could comment that there was one suspect and that was the person not cooperating.
That meant police were not naming the suspect, as it could be either Josie or Shannon.

Now they have said two members are not cooperating. When a person withdrew cooperation it was announced that that person was a suspect. Now that two are not cooperating, they cannot confirm there are two suspects without implicating both Josie and Shannon as suspects.

Lets put one and one together and read between the lines....

The police will no longer confirm only one suspect, (having affirmed only one suspect previously who was not cooperating.)
Now two persons are not cooperating (other memberS...), so there is reason to believe that now both are effectively suspects.....

imo jmo omo moo

Could this be more than 2 are suspects...I wonder?

"South Australia's Police Commissioner has said that two members of missing boy Gus Lamont's family are "not cooperating" with investigators, but a police spokesperson said they could not comment further on the number of suspects in the case."
Two members of Gus Lamont's family 'not cooperating' directly with police

Suspects - plural. So there are at least 2

They were pretty clear about 1 person being a suspect... but not so clear now about the numbers....

Just speculating

Moo... Jesse would know how her parents care take and discipline. I could not leave my child with my parents ever...I feared them. Jesse seemed to trust her parents..or maybe not now?...since Gus is still missing...but usually you would know if your parents were lying.

Again, more evidence that makes me think any alleged death was accidental. JMO but something went horribly wrong and all evidence had to be concealed. This would likely involve both grandparents but without knowing exactly where Gus is and how he’s concealed, the police can’t yet confirm only two people were involved.

One or two people would then have to become very nervous and conduct inspection tours on their/a property, I think .....
Moo...or maybe a lost child may surface with the floods.

If LE hadn't stated differently, I would think, the grandparents might have covered Gus' death caused by a third person ..... MOO

"Top cop revealed two people not co-operating.

He said police would be returning to property.

'We will be going back to the property,
I can't say when, I can't say what the reasons will be,
that's entirely up to the task force,
but the work is ongoing'."

the article says this: Mr Stevens made the comment as he revealed two relatives of the missing four-year-old boy were 'not co-operating' with police.

but then the article doesn't quote him as actually saying that ...

Moo..they have lawyers. Say nothing is what is advised

Even to help Police to find a grandson who according to them wandered off??? 🤔

Some say
that grandparents' love for grandchildren
is even greater than for their children.
(My dearest grandparents on both sides were the example of this saying, Bless Them)

Honestly, IMO!!!
if there is nothing to hide,
I cannot see the reason not to cooperate with Police,
regardless of any lawyers' advice
(who, I understand, are just doing their job).

Nope,
I would be searching day and night,
endlessly,
begging people to help to find the beloved child and cooperating with LE on all fronts.

For this missing child who is the most important in this situation!!!

But it is JMO!

But here are the quotes:

(from interview in ABC Radio Adelaide)

Thank you but even in this article, what they claim the unnamed 'top boss' said does not match their headline. They claimed he said 'two' but the 'quoted' words said 'members'. If there was more information from actual quotes, then they should've published it, not random words here and there that don't support their headline. It makes me very wary of trusting anything they publish. JMO.

Whatever happened, everybody appeared to be reacting in an expected manner.

Fleur Tiver said in that recent interview that she has known the family for a very long time (decades), was with them after Gus disappeared, and she thought everyone was behaving how you would expect - devastated, bewildered, distressed, stunned. And not at all like people who were trying to hide anything.

From about the 4:55 mark in this linked video.

Yes. The 'top boss' (Police Commissioner Grant Stevens) didn't say it. A police spokesperson did.

The police commissioner said "members" and the police spokesperson said "two family members". And the spokesperson wouldn't comment on "further suspects".
(which doesn't mean there are or there are not further suspects, just means they aren't talking about the case. imo).

ABC had the radio interview with the Police Commissioner. This is what they said.

Today, Police Commissioner Grant Stevens told ABC Radio Adelaide "members" of the family were "not cooperating" with police.

"As far as I'm aware, it's status quo, from the most recent reports. We are still working with Gus's mum and dad and there are other members of the family who are no longer cooperating,"

Following Commissioner Stevens's interview, an SA Police spokesperson confirmed "that two family members are only communicating [with police] via their legal representatives".

When asked by the ABC if there were any further suspects, a police spokesperson said they were "unable to make any further comment at this point".
