She is apparently angling heavily for home detention. Her lawyer is right behind her.

When RP was returned to jail, after the hospital excursion, she asked to "split her insulin" and was refused. She asked for a dr and was told there wasn't one available that day.

She may be genuinely panicking about her access to insulin (or not) but she and her lawyer are definitely trying to make RP's insulin access, or lack of it, a big issue.

But to me it seems that the prison authorities feel that she is being treated in the same manner as any other prisoner with diabetes.

Get a really bad vibe about RP. As for her diabetes, she can easily test her blood sugar levels regularly throughout the day by doing a finger prick and getting a reading. The dose of insulin by injection can just be adjusted if necessary. I’m sure she would’ve had advice from her doctor or diabetes educator on how to manage it regardless of her location ie home, work, holiday and even prison. Her so called diabetes dramas just show how manipulative she is.

Interestingly, the paywalled articles that I have been reading say that her family is supporting her. I am not sure if that means her immediate family (husband, kids) and/or her siblings.
Something like this may have the potential to split a family. What a nightmare for them.


This article says how a large contingent of RP's family and friends were in the public gallery at court. And that those "supporters" sat away from SA Police and Major Crime squad detectives who attended the hearing.

Yes nhmemorymaker, definitely not all rings true for me. She visited her father the day before he was found unconscious by a carer. Her phone records show she had googled Oxazepam the same day she visited and the drug was found in Mr Anderson’s toxicology results. RIP to the parents.

Keep at least an injection's distance away from her at all times.

I Remy am trying to keep an open mind. Assisted suicide. Mercy killing. Angel of mercy. Angel of death. Carrying out last wishes. I don't know what to think but an investigation is proper, and where laws are broken, conviction.

We'd do better as a species if we just kept our hands to ourselves, unless given permission.

There is Assisted Dying available in S.A. so I can’t understand why anyone would ‘mercy kill‘ on their own when there’s legal avenues that could be explored to achieve the same. I would have thought that the whole family would have come forward and confirm it was Mr Anderson’s wish. IMO, there were other motives in play.
