Video of Rob's team finding the two bags and bottle. One bag was small, but other was a large garbage back which had a whole for the head.
The additional bit of information was there some string in location tied to a root.

Interesting that there appears to be some sort of track down to the river, when it crosses the water race it isn;t that clear that you're crossing it.

Her friends from Belgium think she had a small compass on her bag. So, it is possible she had both a bag and compass. This maybe explains how she was able to keep a set direction

Interesting discussions online in the videos chat section, that the smaller bag could have been worn over the head at night. Also the stump may have been used to hold the bag down with the string at the top, keeping the rain off. With the fact she has nto been found on the hill, makes it very likely she survived the first night.

Wow, that seems potentially quite significant. I'm surprised the string wasn't reported in the media.

I wonder why Celine left the main track

Whilst we can never know the mind of someone.
She either missed the waterfall 90 degree turn off down the stairs to the waterfall, or after she had visited the waterfall decided to go on toward the dam. However, she was using the track to navigate. At some point she decided it was getting late. She turns on her phone and starts back tracking near the dam. However, the water race is not a track, it is the former ground works for a water race. As she was back tracking, she got to a point where the water race is not well defined, at that point the track is leading away from the waterfall. She has her phone open, but the water race is not on google maps. and she notices the track she is on, such as it is, is not going towards the water fall but away. There is a sidetrack (that can be seen on Rob's first video above) that is going up the hill, and more in the direction of the waterfall. Her GPS points have her taking that culvert/track up the hill, but it quickly peters out as you go up the hill but the vegetation becomes a little thinner as she goes up.
