Remains have been found

A bushwalker has located human remains near the Philosopher Falls area in Waratah on Tasmania's west coast, where tourist Celine Cremer went missing in 2023, according to Tasmania Police.

:(
It is such a sad discovery, but atleast her family and friends can have some closure after finally finding her 💓

Completely agree. I think it would be horrible to never know what happened and always wonder

Moo...is it confirmed it is her?

“Mr Boys said the remains were found about two hours' walking distance from where other items were discovered in December, in an area the search party had not been through.”

Wow!

Well, I was starting to worry that that guy was starting to lose sight of Celine and creeping into doing it for himself and his own publicity.

More than happy to eat crow over that. Celine going home to her family is worth it all.

MOO

Quote from this article, "the body parts were found about three kilometers north-east of the Philosopher Falls car park, alongside the Arthur River."

Sounds like she followed the river. Only made it about halfway to where the Magnet Rd crosses the Arthur River.

"The bones that I saw were just lying on top of a pile of soil and stones," Mr Boys said.

Well done. RIP Celine.

If that is Celine, it’s weird that she went north east, especially if she was using a compass, as the carpark is south. Feels like a long walk in tough conditions and in the wrong direction. Possibly frozen, disoriented & just following the river. Wonder why Jarrod even headed that way and so far away from Rob’s search areas and where the phone was found.

If I've got this right looking on google maps just now, a point 3km NE of the car park (not the falls), by the river, is not actually that far from where Rob was searching in the last video. It's a bit further east along the river.

On the map shown at 01:55 with the three footprint images it looks to me to be somewhere around where the rightmost footprint is, or maybe a bit further east.
