I don't think she would have taken her phone either...

I don't get a suicide vibe at all...the personal struggles probably relate to her mothers death (as per Age articles) or just general issues around being married and a mother of 3 young kids.

I can identify with struggles over Mom's death...
but especially with three young kids. Very tough.
I need to finish reading all of her letters to the editor...

Could she have been quite intoxicated hence the talk of disorientation?

Yes, maybe she was 'put to bed' by her neighbour?

Would you know what the date range is of all the letters?

Her phone, which is still missing, was turned off on Saturday night and has remained off. Her Facebook page had also been taken down, a friend said on Tuesday.

http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/e...eys-inlet-search-goes-on-20171003-gytun0.html

Who took the FB account down?

I knew her phone was missing and going to VM, but didn't know it was turned off since Sat night!
Yes, I've been wondering who took down her fb, and when...
It was cached by google earlier this month - someone posted the cached photo - I'll look for the post...

I am a little concerned about this. Because the family arrived on Sunday morning, and some time on Sunday the official search efforts commenced. With police, SES, and aircraft. A lot to pull together quickly on a Sunday. There seems, to me, to be a big reason for great haste in this matter.

"A big reason for great haste in this matter"... similar to Allison Baden-Clay's disappearance.

I don't feel that the husband has played any part in Elisa's disappearance. He was with the 3 children on Saturday afternoon at the AFL and into the night (by the time he organised dinner after getting home), I really can't see him leaving the children at their SH home alone late at night or into the early hours on Sunday morning, because he left with the children to go to the holiday house later on Sunday to find Elisa missing. I know Baden-Clay left his children at home alone that night he murdered Allison.

By the way, police have mentioned on many occasions that it is not wise for women to be out walking ALONE very late at night and rightly so...MOO

Would you know what the date range is of all the letters?

The letter referring to her mothers palliative care was July 2015

The one about buying her regular medication was November 2016

I'm going to assume the regular medication may have been the contraceptive pill

Does anyone turn their mobile phone off at night anymore?

I haven't for years. It's just turned to silent

Could have simply gone flat. But then why would you take a flat phone with you or why would you even take your unswitched on phone with you.......?

Last seen in bed by a neighbour.
This is beginning to sound like a sexual predator to me. Someone who knew she was home, alone, in bed, having had too much to drink.
Someone who took advantage of the situation.

Her account was up until at least 04Sep2017...
it looks like it refreshes now, but I have a screenshot showing her listed account photo and the google cache date as well.
No telling exactly when, or by whom it was taken down; but within the past month, anyway -- and could've been up until earlier yesterday, before MsAnais posted the link.
I'd like to know if Elisa took it down herself before disappearing, or if it was taken down after she went missing.

I guess if she was drunk she may have not bothered to charge it? But yes, why take a switched off phone with you for a run?

I wonder if her husband tried to contact her before he left for Aireys on Sunday morning? Something like a text to say 'on our way. See you at 9'

Hi everyone. I am a Victorian journalist (not covering this story, I work regionally) but it's got me and my colleagues obsessed.

First of all, my TV news colleague was walking this track Saturday during the day. A few things: She noticed how nearly everyone had a black Labrador and how easily it would be for someone to be either pushed or fall off the track and have the body swept away from the rocks below.

Another thing I'd like to see verified is a rumour, so I am making this VERY clear it's just hearsay and not to be run with as a piece of compelling evidence (at this stage).

My TV news colleague is engaged to a criminal lawyer. He told her yesterday, as we were discussing the case, that he'd heard the pair had a fight and Elisa told the neighbour (or someone close) that it was over. Due to his role, and hers, he has refused to tell her where he heard this so we cannot substantiate the claim. I assume there's off the record discussions going on in the legal community across Victoria and this is where he's come across this information.

Has anyone else heard this?

It would explain why Elisa was alone at the holiday home and he took the kids to the grand final. I am now speculating that should it be confirmed he was at the GF, what did he do later that night?

I'll be following this thread and contributing where I can.

The latest release from Victoria Police media (issued Tuesday 03/10/17)

"Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing woman Elisa Curry.
The 43-year-old was last seen at a residence on Aireys Street, Aireys Inlet about 10pm on Saturday night.
Police and family members hold concerns for Elisa’s welfare as her disappearance is out of character.
Elisa is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 167cm tall with an athletic build, brown eyes and brown shoulder length hair.
It is not known what clothing she might be wearing.
Specialist police including search and rescue, the air-wing, water police, mounted branch and members on dirt bikes are searching the Great Otway National Park and waters off the south west coast.
State Emergency Service personnel along with Parks Victoria staff are assisting with the search of tracks and bushland within a 20 kilometre radius of Aireys Inlet.
Anyone who sights Elisa or has information is urged to contact Triple Zero (000)."

Thanks for that :)

Elisa Curry disappearance: Victorian police still hope to find missing Melbourne woman alive
ABC News
24 MINUTES AGO (as at 12:21 AEST 4 October 2017)

‘"We're hopeful that she is alive, we're looking for a live person at the moment," he said.

"Obviously as time goes on it's less likely that she's alive."’

‘"It could be suspicious circumstances. At this stage there's no evidence to suggest that but [we can't rule it out] and the local detectives are definitely looking into that side of things."

The search today will concentrate on trail heads, car parks and bluffs in the area.

Inspector Seel said they would make a decision on further searches at the end of the day.‘

There is a video of the neighbour stating that Elisa said they were having problems in the marriage or words to that effect.
