People do stupid stuff all the time, people also do incredibly evil stuff too, way to often IMO , I'm betting the later in this case.

I think , in time, the details we may hear will be horrific. I don't really want or need to know. What we know already is bad enough for me

Are we likely to have more details when JS attends court on March 18? Or will it simply be a ‘guilty’ or ‘not guilty plea’.

I don't imagine we will hear many details prior to the trial (if he pleads not guilty).

They will still have a jury to pick ... a jury that needs to remain untainted.

Doubtful. imo

One thing about pleading guilty is that we don't usually hear the 'why'.

Eg: When Borce Ristevski eventually pleaded guilty to the 'manslaughter' of his wife, that was it. We didn't hear how or why.

A subsequent video showed the same car and trailer pull up to a set of lights on Victoria Road in Drummoyne at 7.17pm the same evening.

I am fairly sure that this CCTV image is from the Oxford Hotel on the Corner of Victoria Rd and Lyons Rd Drummoyne...... and JS would have been travelling along Victoria Road and turning Left into Lyon Road??? And on to Bayswater and Five Dock Boat Ramp.....

Do I have this correct????

IF so, and JS was travelling from Marsden, to Five Dock, did he go somewhere else before Five Dock??? Hence a possible time gap?? A roughly 40min trip took 1 hour 20mins....

As with both these routes from Marsden to Five Dock Bunnings Marsden Park to Five Dock Bay Boat Ramp - Google Maps

I have also wondered that, a little extra time - yes.....
Resident expert ...(hubby)... ha ha .. says to allow an extra 10min per hour to tow a boat like that one....

But why was he coming from that direction onto Lyon Road?
Why did police choose that piece of CCTV to show???

It was school holidays, and from memory most traffic at that time of the day in Sydney would be heading out of the city, rather than towards the city??? imo

I have also wondered why Police need this additional footage if they have downloaded his GPS, as has been stated in the media... imo

Surry Hills is quite a bit of a built up area, I used to work in the area and would say that he likely would have had trouble parking the Ute and boat there. Doesn’t mean that he didn’t go somewhere to meet someone though.

If JS trip was from Surry Hills to Five Dock... then yes he would be travelling the right direction on Victoria Road to turn Left into Lyon Road.....
I had to stand a long time in that intersection on Google Maps too, Marg, to work out the direction etc...

Police still believe the alleged murder took place at the Mt Wilson Property

Authorities, including the dog squad and dive teams - are also searching for the weapon at Wildenstein, the Mt Wilson property where CM was last seen.

They have yet to find any trace of blood or gunshot residue at the home, but still, believe that is where the alleged murder took place.

People who allegedly commit crimes should not go to merchants who use CCTV, nor drive on roads with CAMs.
IF he did come from Riley St. (has that been verified?), went across the Anzac bridge, which becomes Victoria Road, there's 2 cams, before the Victoria Road/Lyons Road Corner CAM, where the UTE was recorded, behind the bus.

Great point JLZ! A search there could also pre-empt a possible defense strategy for "reasonable doubt"

I don't think that would be likely, JS's neighbour would have a registered gun or guns and LE know about them. It's a very serious crime to keep an unregistered gun in Australia, and also just as bad storing one out of a locked safe except for transit. If LE believed it was the neighbour at any time, they would have checked his guns to see if they had been fired recently or they would match the caliber gun that's alleged. It's more than likely he had a shot gun in any case, being an old fellow, and it is more likely the type of gun you would use to scare birds.

Yes, they must have a lot more CCTV. I was looking at the route he likely took also.

Then I looked to see if there was CCTV at Windsor Bridge. Apparently, there are two 'new' CCTV cameras at George St & Wilberforce Road intersections. These roads lead to and from Windsor Bridge, from what I can see on Google maps.
I think he would have used this bridge to get from Windsor to Colo River.

Not sure if there is CCTV at the Richmond Bridge, which I think is probably the bridge he used on the way to Marsden (Bunnings and BP truckstop).
