Where is Karen?

I will find this woman.

Whomever took her better make sure she is well hidden, in light of police asking people to search their rural properties.

  • #743
Yes both her parents are deceased according to this post from her cousin Steve.

Now I'm confused as to whom KR was supposedly requesting money from.

Interesting that the Merc's faulty fuel gauge fixed itself ... I have one myself (not on a Mercedes, unfortunately!) and my trusty mechanic has tried many things to fix it, all to no avail.

:yeahthat:

I'm curious as to why Borce took Karen's car if she was expected to return from her walk and go into work. Presumably she used her car to get to work (as opposed to a bus)? Would she have taken Borce's VW Tiguan if her car was missing? If so, wouldn't that mean it wasn't available for Uber work? (The Merc wouldn't be much use for Uber work as, being a coupe, it doesn't have a lot of space for passengers).

And why not through a bank? (Possibly re-financed the home to the max and have other debts too? All relevant to her disappearance IMO).

Was the radio plea after the police station appearance? - "she went ballistic"?

There may have been. I vaguely remember a discussion about it in earlier posts. I don't think I could find a link to it at the time. Do you have one please, WS?

Evil stranger could have taken Karen Ristevski, says husband

Andrew Jefferson, Herald Sun
August 28, 2016 11:13pm

THE family of missing Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski believe she may have fallen victim to a random stranger abduction.

It is understood that husband Borce has told family members that the 47-year-old could have been snatched by an evil predator.

It can also be revealed that Mrs Ristevski was discussing borrowing money from her father to pay an outstanding debt in the days before she vanished on June 29.

In other developments, a shovel found at the $1.1 million Avondale Heights Ristevski family home has undergone forensic testing.

And detectives searching for the missing mum in Melbourne’s northwest have examined CCTV cameras from the Toolern Vale General Store and taken footage from 60 cameras at two BP service stations at Calder Park.

Police have also combed the same road where murdered Irish woman Jill Meagher was found. Residents of Black Hill Rd, where Ms Meagher’s body was found buried in a shallow grave in September 2012, say police on trail bikes were spotted scouring the 10km road linking Diggers Rest to Gisborne South.

Mr Ristevski, 52, told police he was driving his wife’s 2004 Mercedes-Benz to a garage to fix a faulty fuel gauge before the fault corrected itself and he returned home.

Mobile phone data indicated that Mr Ristevski’s phone was switched off for 2½ hours on the day she vanished.

Mr Ristevski is understood to have told police to direct all further inquiries over his wife’s disappearance to his solicitors, Stary Norton Halphen.

BBM: Weren't we told by a family member that Karen's father was deceased?

Karen may have been discussing borrowing some money from someone but I'll bet it wasn't from her father. You're right, as far as we know, he and her Mum are deceased.

Patricia GRAY said the search for Ms Ristevski had turned into a "circus" due to the statements of other family members, including Borce's brother Vasko and stepson Anthony Rickard, according to reports.

That is interesting. I'm pretty sure that this is the first time she has used her surname, and she defended BR during that press conference where the reporter asked him if he had killed Karen.

Could there be a rift between KRs side of the family and BRs side of the family.

• Karen Ristevski's family say they believe she was abducted by a stranger

• Her aunt Patricia Gray thinks she was 'discarded like a piece of rubbish'

• Ms Ristevski was last seen leaving her Melbourne home on June 29

• New detail has emerged showing her location on the day she disappeared

• Her phone was detected near Gisborne, 40km northwest of Melbourne

• The 47-year-old left her home after an argument with husband Borce

'Missing woman Karen Ristevski may have been abducted by a stranger, according to her husband.

Borce Ristevski has told his family he believes the Melbourne woman may have kidnapped, reported the Herald Sun.

However, Ms Ristevski's aunt Patricia Gray still believes her niece has been murdered and has rubbished the claims from family members.

She described the search for the missing mother as 'a circus' and said 'people would be thinking this is a joke', according to The Australian.

'Whoever has done this to her, that is what they have done ... She is worth more than that, the family want to find her, he family want to give her the burial she deserves. She should be out with her mum,' she said.'

'Her comments come after detectives examined CCTV cameras from the Toolern Vale General Store and took footage from 60 cameras at two BP service stations at Calder Park, reported the Herald Sun.'

PG may have been defending SR, rather than BR, Snoop.

I agree, PG seems to be losing her patience with VR et al; especially now police are searching for Karen's remains. I don't know how she's managed to hold her tongue for this long, quite frankly. If I was in the same situation, I would've ripped them a new one ages ago.

They've riled a strong woman. I don't think their lives are going to be worth living from here on in. :hills:

I can't help thinking that GBC will be sitting in his cell laughing ( and feeling smug ) at how stupid BR was not taking care of the phones.

Lol. That would be the pot calling the kettle black after all the stuff ups he made!

The fact that all this info is coming out for the day of the 29th....... Im having thoughts that Borce didn't have enough time....too rushed.

Could it be that Karen went out that morning directly to AR's before work.... then when she didn't arrive, say between 9am and 10 which would be normal start of trade hours, staff called Borce.

Unanswered phone calls got him worried enough to head up to Diggers Rest to AR's...

I mean the whole going for a drive to test the fuel gauge is laughable. ..... but if he was trying to cover for AR he could say that if he thought Karens car had been spotted on the Calder...

Mmmm.... messy....
Shoot...Puggles!!! I too have been wondering if this is what happened. KR went to see AR, maybe to give him some money. (BR was not in agreement with giving AR more money). We still do not know what the $850 was actually for, or why she had it, do we (?). BR travels to see if KR did go to see AR, after walking out to clear her head. (AR did say, BR contacted him and wanted to know if he had seen KR. Now when exactly BR contacted AR is still not known to us. (?) but it's possible it was that very morning KR walked out.

ALL MOO!

Yep....messy indeed!!! :scared:

How do we even know she did actually have $850 on her ? Who said that she did ? Was it BR ? Not sure I'd be believing anything he said I'm afraid.

Amazes me the number of men who kill their wives like this and actually think they'll get away with it. :gaah:

Here's an map of the two service centres on the Calder highway. One has a Maccas and the other has KFC so they are large service centres & truck stops.

VR? You mean KR? Not necessarily---if she didn't want BR to know she was going to see AR, and just going for a walk, she'd have left not only her car at home but all cars. . Not only that, according to BR, the fuel guage was faulty in her car. He may be telling the truth about that, which is the reason why KR did not take her car. Time will tell I guess!

It depends on where BR was when he switched his phone off and if Karen was alive or not at that time. If he didn't switch it off until just after it pinged at Digger's Rest, he had 2 and 1/2 hours to conceal Karen (according to MSM reports today). BR could then have switched his phone back on after he was on his way home via the Calder. Surely, 2 and 1/2 hours is enough time to conceal something if you, or someone else, is familiar with the surrounding area, and/or the crime was premeditated.

How would KR have travelled to Digger's Rest from Avondale Heights without driving a car? Are they linked by public transport? I think if she went to see AR of her own volition, and independent of BR, Karen would've have driven; especially as she was expected at work that day.
