Don't think we'll see any hands, Trooper.

The only hands I want to see are those of a fellow prisoner crushing HIS windpipe. And those that are cutting off his b**ls

hands up who cares about Holdom's safety?

Crown prosecutor Victoria Engel told a committal hearing there were five witnesses who would give evidence against Holdom and asked that their identities be suppressed to protect their safety.
“Witness one and two have made statements implicating the accused in the murders,” Ms Engel told the court
“Witness five allegedly received an admission by the accused that he had killed the two persons but he didn’t report that.”
Ms Engel also said two of the witnesses (numbered two and three) were induced to make a statement to police.

Two housemates gave statements to police that Holdom and Ms Pearce-Stevenson had an argument on December 14, 2008 and left in her car, leaving the two-year-old behind.
Holdom returned alone the next day in Ms Pearce-Stevenson’s car which he sold and, in a new car, left Canberra with Khandalyce.

Police seized the photos of Karlie’s body during a search warrant at the home belonging to the sister of Holdom’s former partner.

DH told 2 woman of his crimes.
A former partner - found the SD (photos ) - did not report it until after DH arrest in 2015.
The other made a diary entry in 2013 noting the confession and did nothing.

because there are so many desperate and stupid women out there!!... women who don't want to work, women who don't know where their next fix is coming from, women who don't mind seeing the dead body of another woman on the blokes phone....

So many people knew! I wonder if 1&2 went to the police or waited for the police to come to them? If the latter, why did none of them want justice? Or was it fear? Or blind 'love' for want of a better word.

about the 'desperate and stupid ' component of my sudden visceral scream in text. I base that conclusion on a statistic from the Magistrate's Court, all over Australia. Not the County court, that's another stat, but in the Magistrate's court, the number of women appearing on charges of assault, theft, stupid theft, silly theft, stealing the post, drunken anti social behaviour, car theft, speeding, dangerous driving, drunk driving, ( the stats of women drivers with the interlock device on their steering wheels ( the one you have to breath into to allow the engine to start if you are under the limit ) is now on a par with men 's cars ... home invasions, child neglect, on and on , is around the 40/60 ratio, 20 years ago it was 8/92....... ..

In the County Courts of AU, the ratio is somewhat less, mainly because of the habit of men doing crime together, this tends to skew the numbers, so its about 30/70 , but the trend is certainly going up, and not down.

These women Holdom acquired were obviously on the fringe of crime themselves, petty crime, perhaps, but persistent at it, branching out every now and then into major stuff, like the creature who impersonated Kharlie at Centrelink. .. . no way would that be her first venture into crime.

This , these murders are so unspeakably horrible, it's hard to distinguish him from his accomplices....... . .. I am betting the same women who did the Centrelink act , did the call to Kharlies mother, you have to have nerves of steel and a real contempt for people to do that...

I propose it was merely laziness. .. and a certain reluctance to call attention to themselves with the constabulary..... oh yes, one day, I'll tell the coppers.. .. years go by.

Wasn't a found second phone a factor in the break-up between Holdom and the little bogan Canberra girl?

Yes, I think so ... under the seat of the car, on their little jaunt up north.

Yep, and / or use it as bribery further down the track, perhaps. Or to use it to get themselves off accomplice charges.

Perhaps they just live in a world where everything and everyone is disposable, even tiny little girls.

It's a different world from what most of us know, Trooper, thank heavens.

She said the Crown relied on “overwhelming” circumstantial evidence and direct admissions made by Holdom.
He has pleaded not guilty to the murders.

and yet ....

Mr Mabbutt said in his opinion the photos were the strongest element in the Crown’s “large, complex and circumstantial case”.
Holdom represented himself in the proceedings after sacking his Legal Aid lawyer last week.
Mr Mabbutt asked him several questions including if he wanted to say anything in relation to the charges, give evidence or call witnesses.
“No, you Honour,” he said to each question.

Why plead not guilty?

"The location where the suitcase was found several years later was entirely consistent with the route of travel he took," the magistrate said.

http://www.9news.com.au/national/2017/08/24/11/22/alleged-double-murderer-took-body-photos

So does this mean the suitcase was there the whole time?

I remember a long way back when there was a press conference with Des Bray after the girls had been identified and the press asked if he believed the suitcase had been there the whole time and he said yes. I think this was also when they revealed that suitcase man was no longer relevant. Sorry I have no link for this....anyone else remember?

I remember that Morrisa.

I also recall someone here posted a google earth shot taken in 2010 of the spot the suitcase was eventually found in, and there was no suitcase there. So, must of been by the highway and moved?

Why plead not guilty?

edited by me..

what??.. plead guilty?>... there are guys watching and reading about this back in Goulburn and Silverwater and the point of the game is to stay out of Goulburn and./or Silverwater for as long as possible!.. pleading not guilty makes the whole shebang turn on my axis, it means days away, plenty of paper and pencils and maybe even a temporary phone... it means different sorts of meals, and getting a damn good gig at the girls who work at the court, always in those black stockings!....

and it infuriates everyone, a big bonus. .. and I can spin it out for months... that 's why I got rid of my lawyer, what a drag, and now the whole court has to slow down to my pace, snail pace, and I might even have a few sick days... so pleading guilty is for the dingbats in my world. What a dumb thing to do!!..
