Yeah, hard to know what to make of the relatively early finish?

I'm guessing, owing to the delicate nature of things, that even if the police found something they won't let on until they had tested it.
I like this thought
lets hope its a tentative testing of something!!:)

I wouldn't expect them to find too much early in the process. I would be expecting it later in the process because of all the work that has been done on the property.

If you have not already read this, this is a summary of all the characters and potential witnesses involved which I found very interesting.

So many people let Lyn Dawson down in those early days and probably have regrets now except for her sister-in-law, Marilyn Dawson, who claimed in her 1999 interview with police, that "Chris and Joanne took shelter in her home upon their return from Queensland on Christmas Day in 1981, and that she did not tell Lyn about this. She felt that Lyn kept providing opportunities for Chris and Joanne to be together, and that Lyn did not fight for her marriage to Chris. Marilyn stated strongly that she did not believe Chris had any involvement in the disappearance of his wife."

Even Lyn's own mother believed in Chris and it took her six weeks to insist that Chris report Lyn as a missing person! Helena, Lyn 's mother, must have been the last person (other than Chris, to talk to her on the phone at least. She claimed that Lyn came on to the phone that her daughter sounded "sozzled" but that neither Lyn nor Chris drank! It is my suspicion that Chris could have spiked that drink then murdered Lyn that night while the children were asleep.

Chris Dawson seems to have been a charismatic person due to his fame as a footballer that he almost got away with murder for 36 years together with his lying to her family and friends about receiving phone calls, hearing about fake sightings and receiving a letter for months later. However, he had told police initially that he had not heard from Lyn after 16th January, 1982.

Sadly, he has got away with murder for 36 years. That's still the status quo.

The cadaver dogs are only permitted to do a set number of hours per day so that there senses remain alert and affective. The exception obviously if they have ‘indicated’ to their handler and a discovery is imminent

The house looks lovely now.

Has anyone got a link of the home inside and out?

Thanks

It's a lot of money. But money well spent. It's time Lyn (and Chris!) got justice.

It’s rotten to think he has had all these years of total freedom not having to look over his shoulder and thinking he got away with it.
That sickens me.

Lynne's body isn't there. I am convinced of this. It may have once been there, but not now. Chris knows this, Paul knows it, Marilyn knows it. Those three know the complete narrative, backwards and forwards.[/QUOTE]

Due to precedence not many murderous husbands bury their wives in the yard. I’m battling to think of any.
The likes of Ristevski & Baden-Clay drove their wives elsewhere and haphazardly disposed of them.
Chris might have had more sense or time to plan and think it through.
Needless to say it’s never too late to cuff the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

I think he was so full of himself that he did bury her in the backyard. He never imagined "he" would be questioned . I am backing JoeCimino the concreter who did work at the house after Chris and Joanne had left. Between the pool and boundary of the property. Very very loose soil and the area Chris paved not long after Lyn disappeared. ????

welcome PT
YES he did think himself very clever.
the cardigan there has to be extremely relevant surely??

When the cardigan was found would have been a good time to move the body but it would have been impossible by then.

I sincerely hope she’s found - like tomorrow and yes, of course her cardigan is a red flag.
I didn’t say she wasn’t there but said not too many murderous husbands bury their wives under the daughter’s bedroom window.
What happened to Lyn is despicable and that 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 should be cuffed pronto and throw the brother in the clink for being accessory.

Read this in the paper copy of the Australian.
"Lyn Dawson’s family says there may be only “bone fragments” if she is buried at her former home."

When I read this, I thought even if they do find bone fragments we are probably not going to find out anything immediately until they can be tested, one if they are human and two confirmed if they are Lyn.

The dig will continue over the weekend.

It is such a pity that Lynette Dawson did not report the physical abuse she had been suffering from to the police. Apparently, she phoned the police once but they did not come. The second babysitter witnessed CD abusing LD but did not report it to police until years later and the friends at the daycare centre and at tennis saw bruises but did not tell police at the time. Unfortunately, domestic violence often is the precursor to murder.
