I didn't realise there was a private group of sleuths working behind the scenes here.

I feel pretty silly spending / wasting my time researching to post up on here to help others work through the case and probably already been done in the private group?

I thought any information found was shared openly within the group to help with the end goal, of finding Marion.

Just been back searching for information on something I was working on and found a bunch of posts about files in a private group.

Kind of disappointing to be honest.

It might of been my post ? Where I put the NAA file in a private post and invited anyone who wanted access to it to let me know and I just added them.

Only because I didn't know if it could go on the public thread and it saves people trying to find the link in this thread ( which is difficult), Once added to a private conversation you just click on your inbox and click on the heading.

If that is the one I can add you no problem, there is nothing in there but a few comments and the NAA file

But that’s not new that’s why I’m confused. They are at the address but aren’t part of renov to my understanding.

Edit: the enterprise number are completely seperate and although building address is 46 they are individual boxes so as I suspected ages ago and also from real estate searches 46 has flats. Mr Aka has just put 46 but not the unit number. At least that’s how I’m understanding it.

ecozy appeared completely legit.. the other woman not so much.

edit 2 - this was how I found the tax man… this is a property address search.. if you put all at that prop you will find cordemans - this link is only showing current
ohhhhh do you mean these ones :)

I've been doing a stocktake! of my "loose ends" list!
Some are relatively unimportant. If anyone can shed light (or thoughts) on any of these it would be appreciated:

1. Who is Roger Lauzoney? (spelt 4 different ways in NAA docs) it is one of the early aliases in use and would seem to be significant. Lauzoney and antonyms do not seem to exist as a surname variant anywhere. Of possible alternatives, Lauzon is the most common - One of the most popular surnames in Canada and Philippines. Lauzon was a governor of Bordeaux. (more detail in notes). Morocco as birthplace is an outlier compared to other aliases. (AC asks about Morocco).

2. Did DJPD really fight in Spanish Civil War as Aka said he did? Very few Belgians fought in Spanish Civil War. How long was he in Spain fighting? How was RB conceived in 1938 if his father was fighting in civil war in Spain? Why was he executed? Why did he come back so long after the end of the Spanish Civil War?

3. What happened to Desiree Jnr? And why does RB never use his name as an alias? (NB apart from maybe the company in NC)

4. Was it the Tournai Etats Civil that was bombed leading to no birth records? Website says records were transferred to Mons before this date, 1895 and did not return until 1964.

5. WW Starts life of crime a year after leaving Gendarmerie. Why does he leave Gendarmerie? DdeH says horse injury but he leaves 4 years after that. Belgian Gendarmerie at that time was riddled with corrupt officers that required an inquiry and clean sweep. Is it possible he committed an offence and was kicked out? Is it possible he made his criminal contacts here?

6. How did WW get the “horse” injury in 1960? Horses phased out of Gendarmerie by then, but he claims he left due to injury, got huge compensation payout and had years of rehabilitation in Switzerland (but able to ski!). Later medical report states injury operated on, healed well with no deformities

7. What was the involuntary injury offence on 10 May 1966? is it connected to RB tales of assaults or even the horse injury? [NB Involuntary Injury: Product liability and safety in Belgium = In the case of injury or death caused by a defective product, there is also a risk of criminal prosecution. Under Article 418 of the Criminal Code a person who causes harm by negligence, without intent to harm the person, can be guilty of involuntary manslaughter or injury.

8. Was the Rue des Francs, 46, Etterbeek the HQ of dodgy business? How many people connected to it (WW, IK…). IK also has a criminal charge for traffic/haulage before migrating to Oz.

9. What happened to IK’s brother? Also, her application says her parents are under separate application. Did they migrate too?

10. WW and IK leave Australia around 12 months after arriving, despite a condition of their migration / residency permit being that they remain in Australia for at least 2 years. Did WW and IK actually have a baby when it is reported? He is not present at the birth but registers it. Is it really theirs? Both IK and WW travel to Belgium and then what? Why does the baby travel on its own on a separate flight? All these movements are highly suspicious!

11. Why did he volunteer the information that IK died in a car crash? sleuths found heart as a cause of death. NB medical report for migration shows no abnormal heart volume. Is this a case of a story from somewhere else and applied here?

12. OC: Who is the accountant Armand X? in Belgium. Is there more to him? Financial arm? And JAL contact the travel organiser?

13. Complaint by Mdme. Andree Flamee. When? And what?

14. Why do DdH and FdH go to live in Bordeaux for a few months in 1980s? and why did AC not ask about this? (wine trade? There was a crime ring stealing expensive wine)

15. How can DdeH be in Oz (arr. 21 Jan 1981 and no apparent departure again) when daughter is born in Luxembourg 17 April 1981?

16. Aka must have been in Oz on 29 Jan 1986 to renew his lapsed NSW licence 2075TU as Chaim FD Dehedervary (address 4/6a Rangers Ave, Cremourne) because there is a cash register imprint of payment on the doc in NAA. When did he arrive and what name?

17. Why does Aka fly in to Oz via Philippines on 2 Jan 1986. This is not a usual route between Europe and Oz and seems more like a side trip than a stopover destination.

18. Did MB change name by deed poll on May 15 1997? And then next day (16 May 1997) application for passport signed by dentist at QTUH. Then flies on June 22 with new passport. How is this possible in the time it usually takes to get a new passport? (at least 6 weeks??)

19. What is the attack on RB at Pacific Fair (mentioned in inquest) all about? Given we suspect that attacks are usually false to cover up something - what, and when in this instance?

20. Why did MB apply for a passport on 6 July 1996 (in MB name?) and then the FNMR passport a year later?

21. Why would MB link a statement about going to Amsterdam and taking the Orient Express around the same time? In 1997 you would not go to Amsterdam to get on OE. More likely to take it from Victoria station or Paris. Also which route of the OE was MB intending to take? The usual route (London to Venice) would not be affected by the floods in Germany. Is it possible that MB intended taking the alternative route that goes to Bucharest?!

22. Why does DdH say RB had “no big money wins” in 2012 when asked by AC about financial situation?

Lordy, Lordy, Lordy - check out the web of subsidiary companies registered under Renov Pubs 4 weeks
Looks like someone has been doing a lot of housekeeping IMO. Lets hope the house of cards is about to tumble!
While this is really peculiar, I wonder if this is some kid of glitch in the system as when you click on each secondary activity it goes on and on with many different companies, in all different fields??

On another note not sure if anyone else has thought this but Renov Pubs might be more about collecting/selling old Belgium PUBS stamps, which stands for publicity stamps. Perhaps similar to when commemorative stamps come out in Australia or the UK, over time the rarer ones become of value. Stamp dealing it is certainly along the same vein as coin dealing. Could Renov (renovate) mean restoring the stamps? Just a thought......

Yes I think there’s a bit of a glitch going on too. I just searched non active names at the same address and 1 in particular was missing. Which I thought odd. So I searched the name of the missing one and it was grouped with other business not registered at that property…. Having said that though the 3 that did appear as active were active a while ago

15 - I have never waited that long for any of my passports. Usually no more that 10-14 days for me.

@gymtonic I'll kick it off...
Feb 1977 *FdeH was arrested in Wiltz, Luxembourg as ROGER LAUZONEY born 1945 in Casablanca. He was in possession of his Australian FdH passport.
I couldn't find a Roger Lauzoney anywhere either. Found a Roger Lauzon, French Canadian photographer, who might just have been in a photography magazine by then..but unlikely tbh.

I guess I was thinking that this wasn't a straight forward passport application though - change of name which would surely require more than superficial checking?

Perhaps because Marion had a current passport in the name of Marion Barter, all she had to do was show that passport plus the name change by deed poll?

Possibly I let my old one lapse years ago and had them married so I had a name change.. I had to apply like I hadn’t had one before.. it still didn’t take long.

re: Lauzoney agree that spelling just doesn’t lead to ‘people’
My thoughts are a bit left of field.. Lazoney
Punta Lazoney to be exact. Mountain in the alps in Italy…
