There's a reason that the expression "across the ditch" (or across the dutch if you are a Kiwi! sorry @KiwiNZ) was coined. Travel and migration between NZ and Oz in the late 1960s and 1970s was exploding and required little paperwork and provided many reciprocal arrangements (work, social security etc). I wouldn't be surprised if this butcher wasn't the only one travelling frequently at this time. Is this the suspected MJR? I thought he was discussed and ruled out? I remember, along with another WS member, commenting that anyone who writes Kiwi on a border control card has an antipodean sense of humour and disdain!

Thanks @gymtonic
I am coming from the angle that there is NO MJR married to IK. But WW using MRJ as an alias and just putting up what I find on NAA.

We had no idea just how many aliases RB used until recently so I don't dismiss anything he is capable of

Immigration are still scratching their heads about how he comes and goes...

1969 1970 OUTGOING & INWARD
Immigration believe he left Australia on an unknown passport between October 1969 and returned before February 1970

1974 ??? ??? INCOMING Immigration can't find record of his entry to Australia

1981 ??? ??? INWARD & OUTWARD (29/1/81 NSW Licence issued to - CHAIM DeHEDERVARY)

(Hope this isn't breaking rules. Moderator delete if necessary.) Rob Walker Family Trust set up 2 months ago (14/1/2022) in Skenners Head, approx. 5kms north of Ballina. Interesting names, place and timeframe.
There is another person with that name living in the area so I don’t believe this is D father

I have read all the posts and now we have Walkers in NZ ? and Norfolk Island @Estelle ?

Are these all Walkers ? and how are they all related to the Wonka Walkers ?

Yeah i knew what you meant but I wasn't never certain just a cafe was a fact for it to be enough to travel etc besides one cafe can be a franchise for example , the idea from a cafe only came about by him mentioning he worked at their cafe I didn't really ever take that to mean that was all they did or owned or why they traveled a lot and owned exclusive addresses , As far as I know we don't know what and how they gained their wealth or why they have a business or investments or directorships , That was my point as well , as it is quite common , unless you already know they are crooks or something untoward ?
All I know for sure is that Rb and DdH were left in the will .

....and wouldn't DdH's sister have inherited the other half of their parent's estate?

I didn't suggest that Walkers owned anything in Norfolk Island originally but I suggested that they could own accommodation there.

BTW where is the proof that they owned anything on Norfolk Island?

Haha I dunno where that came from and I saw you refer to it so assumed you knew where the idea came from ?

Maybe someone can enlighten us both :)

I just wondered about why RGW's 2 visits to Norfolk in 1964, that's all

@Eyespywithmylittleeye I don't either, but with a person's history of past experience, ability to defraud and access to, or in possession of, close-family documentation (living or deceased), it could be possible. NOTHING would surprise me now. :(

yes I guess the way around it as is usual practice until something is verified to be connected is to add IMO or if someone just asks a question or a query , we ask a question in return , I nearly made the same assumption as Estelle did ..I was thinking the person who made the comment might tell us what they might have found re the island

My post wasn't related to Walkers, but to the NZ MJR Butcher who I believed had been discussed previously.
