The spelling I was looking for was Zwilling which is the German spelling and means (twin). The spelling in the story is different. A lot of people with non phonetic spellings change the family name over time…or the phone number in California was someone else….or AKA Changed the spelling? Who knows?

Yes fascinating isn’t it. To look at them at the inquest, they don’t present an image of health wealth &/or happiness. Of course there would have been some effort put into this image, but still, after the amount of effort he has gone to over the years, the returns appear relatively low. Compared to other fraudsters like Melissa Caddick at least. I guess he was skilled at procuring cash but not so good at managing it, or as had been suggested, had a serious gambling problem.

11 days to go til the inquest.

I suppose it's too late for the new Zillig information to be part of the inquest.

IMO the living in unkept units as described by a neighbour, along with a beat up car goes a long way to show the communities they live in, that they are 'poor pensioners', BUT they have money of that there is no doubt IMO

Years of buying and selling real estate along with their kids playing with the rich and famous, don't come from years of living on the pensions, even though they have ripped off the Aust Gov for half a century, and "he had small wins", is all smoke and mirrors just like the rest of his BS stories.

This isnt about a small time crook. This is a cunning monster with an accomplice to match. Sharp, shifty and ultimate double lives. Lets hope the whole family are called up when / if, it goes to trial

Hopefully by this stage, his name/s had been "flagged" in their system and in other government departments by the AFP. So the rejection of his name change was a fait accompli and probably the last time he attempted a change of IDENTITY!

You’d hope the AFP would have been finally onto him by that time (2005) but I recall reading that the reason he had given for changing his name, ie, for “personal transformation”, was invalid. The form stated that “personal” wasn’t acceptable.

Yes they looked like they were heading out for a holiday on a tropical island. At his size though, it may be difficult to find clothes that fit.

Well let’s hope our laws are strong enough to be able to trace & return every cent as far back as possible. It’s abhorrent & shameful if they have been able to profit from such fraud and deception for so long.

Probably so they appeared to be "poor" from leeching benefits that they didn't deserve.

I wouldn't be surprised if he lived "high on the hog" when he received his swindled earnings.
I'm still not sure if his family actually knew where the money came from.

Edited to add that it's quite likely that the money ran out as he got older and less able to get around, plus less able to attract women. I would not be at all surprised if they really don't have any assets left.
