So how and when could he have used her phone to interfere with the investigation? We know of two timepoints that her phone was or possibly used:

1. KNOWN - on the way to the airport for the boyfriend call

2. POSSIBLE - some suggestion the phone was accessed via Facebook late one evening - I cannot remember the date but from memory it was the evening JW was first interviewed & before she was found) - assumptions included Police accessing her socials, or the family finding the phone via Life 360 (seemed off as some time after she went missing, to 'remember' to check Life 360) - but could it be Kieren Daniel Mittelheuser?
He could have disposed of it for them..

Exactly!!!

By the way,
What about PB's luggage?
Has it been found?
🤔
I might have missed this info.

Two counts would mean that police have reason to believe the accused had been involved in activity that he contributed to the cover-up on (minimum) two separate occasions after the murder.

This could be:
*The acquisition of the phone knowing that it belonged to the victim-1st count
*Operation of the phone- 2nd count

This would not have happened prior to the murder as the charge is 'after the fact'.

Someone mentioned that the accused could have 'found' the phone. This is unlikely given the charge. If the accused had found the phone AND willingly operated it KNOWING if belonged to the deceased. The charge would be Attempting to Pervert the Course of Justice. Which, by the way, would be a lesser charge that could later be laid if the accused cooperates.

For the police to know who it was that used/was in possession of the phone likely means that someone has provided that information. I would assume that either JW or TB has started the revelation process. If this is the case we most likely can expect more information to be released in the weeks leading to the hearing as more information is offered up.

Link posted above that he apparently used Pheobe’s phone & bank card, would that account for the two charges being two items?

Just a reminder

Mystery that unfolded before cops charged Pheobe Bishop's housemates with murder

“Pheobe's friends reported her Facebook account appeared to be active on Thursday, after all her social media had been dormant since her disappearance.

The teen's Facebook Messenger account appeared to be online at various times over a 14 hour period between midnight and 2pm.

Police announced the charges against Wood and Bromley five hours later.”

So I guess the "Pheobe's bank account hasn't been accessed" was simply police been discreet and knowing they'd eventually have cctv of this person trying to use her bank card? Seems strange it's taken this long to make an arrest as I presume they'd have known immediately when and where it was accessed, unless it was used online?

A really good question! They’d have alerts on her phone & bank account. Assuming he accessed them to deflect that she was alive that would be before her remains were found - weeks ago.

I’m suspicious of the timing, the day after her funeral. Is he connected to her family or friends & if so, was he at the funeral?

He might have tried to transfer the money through her phone account.

I also wonder if it was definitely Pheobes credit card that was used or if the fraud charge related to someone elses credit card? Seems like he had his dirty fingers in many pies.

Can a seventeen year old even get a credit card? Not on their own, in Australia.

Looking on the Queensland Online Crime Map there is only one charge laid in West Bundaberg on 2nd July, 2025. I wonder if it is just listed as “other theft”? The property is just around the corner from where KM was arrested at Oporto.
