How could they have not told the grandmother!
i would still like to know why all those dogs were killed and left to rot on the property and if there is any possibility now for charges of cruelty? or have all charges been laid?
At this stage it's not clear about the situation with the dogs. James Woods claimed the following, but it hasn't been confirmed:
"They didn't get killed. There was five puppies out of a litter of 13 that contracted hookworm and passed before the treatment could work."
But the question is
WHY
the dead dogs were not buried like in any civilized society
but left rotting in the open in residential area???
This is sooooo sick![]()
wouldnt that be classified as neglect though i wonder, not attending to the dogs care and well being in time? its so sad, wish there very long prison sentences for animal crueltyAt this stage it's not clear about the situation with the dogs. that must be heartbreaking fostering those broken little beings and getting attached, and living in limbo not knowing if they have to be returned, also rspca and other agencies seem to have a low standard for dogs welfare, its not cruelty or neglect if they have food, shelter and waterIt's gross and they're disgusting people, but the question was to do with animal cruelty. You cannot charge a person with animal cruelty for failing to bury puppies which died due to parasites (if that's even what happened).
Keep in mind we don't know the situation with the dogs. There were media reports of 4 dead dogs, 11 dead dogs, 13 dead dogs. Then media reports of the random text that JW supposedly sent to a 'source' claiming that some puppies died due to hookworm. None of it can be verified by the public.
Animal cruelty is also very difficult to prosecute. I have fostered various black tag animals for the RSPCA. Black tag animals are in a situation where they have been seized by inspectors, typically charges are pending against the owner. Those charges are not convictions, they can take years to go through the court system. All the while the animal(s) are in limbo.
So they either need to be kept in an RSPCA facility or if they're lucky, go out on foster. The fosterer (and the animal) can not have any contact with the owner, can not share photos of the animal with anyone else, and needs to be very careful about where the animal is seen / walked. At the end of it, the animal may need to be returned to the original owner. Fortunately for the animals that have been in my care, convictions were successful and they could eventually be rehomed with more suitable owners.

I am still curious as to why Pheobe was found at only the second location the police searched in such a vast area, when the first location, 9km away, was very similar to the second. How did they home in with such apparent accuracy? To me, this is one of the burningly obvious unanswered questions, along with why they made the comment about 3 people in the car near the airport, without specifying whether they believed that the third was alive. 2 very specific facts deliberately shrouded in vagueness, encouraging speculation.
But I do believe that it is clearly Pheobe in the back in the photo of the car - comparing the image with the photo of TB, who has short hair, the person inm the back really does seem to be a femalw with long dark hair. And looks to be alive - sitting upright, hand apparently up toward face.... JMO, obviously...

This has been worrying me for a while -How could they have not told the grandmother!
I think when police refer to finding 'remains' rather than a 'body' it can lead people to think only parts of a person have been found imoThis has been worrying me for a while -
"She begged for more information on whether police had 'found Pheobe yet' and if her body was 'still complete' before she sobbed as the heartbreaking reality sank in."
I find it strange that Phoebe's grandmother asks if the body is "still complete"? Am I missing something?

I imagined complete or torn up by hungry wild animals!? Also factoring in decomposition, her body wasn't discovered straight away. Isn't this area quite remote? Either way, having to ask this very Q is quite horrificThis has been worrying me for a while -

I've always wondered why anyone needs to be armed or at least let people think they're dangerously armed.Today’s court listing is for the weapons charges:-
27 May 2025
“Police allege they found a shortened firearm, ammunition, and two replica handguns, known as gel blaster in a grey Hyundai ix35, as well as more ammunition in a Gin Gin home.
The matter will return to court on June 23

There's a couple of other properties in Gin Gin that have had weapons act offences (among others) in the last six months (including just around the corner from where TB and JW resided).
What's the broader picture in Gin Gin?
I can't seem to find reports of these recent offences on MyPolice QLD police news or any other newspapers either.
I'm interested in reading them for context.
Can any locals advise?
