I’ve pondered this too Okapi.

I wondered if, given it was reported that all the windows were blackened out, that she just fell asleep when tired, and played other times ?
( how black out were those window covers ? We’re they black plastic or something ?? No light shining through past midnight ? CS apparently was playing when they found her at that time )

And I also thought about TK’s neighbour saying TK was in the backyard late / early / just woken up - the house has been reported as a One Bedroom.
I wasn’t clear on if that One was the Doll room or it’s One Plus the Doll room - however if only One room (dolls & all) maybe TK was sleeping in yard so as not to encroach on CS ??

Good point about the window blackouts. Were they for privacy, were they for blocking out sunlight for a day sleeper? Maybe both? I mean, I’m querying this for the accused himself, before CS was on the scene.

Yes I would think the attention is unwelcome when leaving after talking about what happened in those 18 days.

It’s interesting that CS was wide awake in the wee small hours when she was rescued, suggesting that she may have been adjusted onto ‘TK time’ in those 18 days. Also remembering how she fell asleep during her parental reunion. It would certainly be easier to conceal a child if she was sleeping when most of the neighbourhood was active. Just my own notions.

TK was pretty smart managing all those alleged SM profile's, some of his comments so well written and appears quite smart when he wants to be

I haven’t put a great deal of thought into CS’s sleep pattern but depending on her exact age she may have still been napping in the afternoons.
If TK wasn’t aware of this then he would have messed with her sleeping pattern just by her missing that afternoon nap. She would probably crash out around 6pm and if he let her sleep too long she’d be up all night. I can’t imagine that he’d ever work that out either which probably explains her looking quite fresh at 1am.

I did find it strange that the neighbour said TK was sitting in the backyard at 3am too. Why outside instead of on his couch/sofa in comfort? Did he even have a lounge and tv etc? He’s such a mysterious character.

People who can't afford blinds and patios sometimes put foil or similar up at their windows to keep out the heat. (Yep, kitchen-type aluminium foil.) I have seen this done, more than once, in the outback.

Lazy people leave it up all year long.

Just another option.

I think she was in kindy as it was reported that she said, “I can hear my school bell” or something to that effect the other day. And yes, they maintain a normal sleeping pattern if they get that afternoon nap that they are used to.

The sleeping bag CS was sleeping in when she was abducted from a tent at the Blowholes camp site has still not been found.

It was deemed a critical item during the search for CS, with police releasing an image that was splashed on missing person posters all over the country.

Officers waded through 50 cubic metres of rubbish recovered from bins from Minilya to Geraldton, however, the sleeping bag was not found.

And despite the home of accused kidnapper TK being turned upside down and emptied in a forensic search, there has still been no sign of it.

The Tonkin Crescent property was on Wednesday free from forensics for the first time since police broke into the home just before 1am on November 3.

It's not weird. Many cases are not published.

there are a lot of cases not published ,however unreported is a different thing.
On password protected log in law sites not available to public there are always some cases with an unreported judgment, but few and normally these involve cases involving children , sometimes sexual assault.
Of course a lot of cases are not published, however few are deemed by court to be unreported or that sentencing remarks must not be available.

LE have only got access again to TK's house after spraying it and will then have to wait for forensics to do their examination before we know for sure if another person did not at least visit the house. I think CS knows the difference between a male and a female so I am still open on this matter.

Maybe, but that wouldn't account for the presence of a female (if indeed those reports are accurate) as the video released of her discovery shows it was by a team of male police officer, who were described in MSM as all being fathers themselves

It had to have been him, the idea that some unknown individual was pulling all the strings in this is beyond bizarre. Maintaining multiple social media accounts pretending to be someone who is actually pretending to be various others for years is surely hard work, I wonder what someone would gain from that? Unless it’s some elaborate conspiracy and the alleged is a patsy…but it would imply huge effort. This case is off the scale baffling.

I’m just not buying the neighbour opinions that TL didn’t have the capacity. IMO he manages to function day to day albeit seemed a bit ‘odd’ to people. He had the presence of mind to question why the media were present at his initial court appearance, to allegedly wink at them. Apparently he was more sociable during the time between the abduction and rescue. Was he buzzing at his big secret, getting a thrill out of his interactions with others during that time, knowing no-one suspected him?

I’m weary of underestimating him TBH. Could be he is actually very, very calculating and believes he is ‘’above’ those who found him odd and/or incompetent IMHO. In fact, surely acting like a bumbling oaf is the perfect disguise for a twisted individual? Maybe his foster parent showered her ‘curly haired gift from God’ in love and affection, didn’t implement rules and boundaries, told him he was special to the extent he now has an over inflated sense of superiority and feels justified in taking what (or who) he wants.

I don’t understand the he’s “incapable” of caring for her. He has long hair, it appears to be washed and brushed in his pics, could he not do the same for a child? He can put his own hair into a ponytail, why not hers? Could he not draw a bath and give her soap and tell her to wash? Sure she wouldn’t do as great a job as an adult, but how dirty could she get being stuck in the house for 18 days? Even playing in plain water could be good enough. All moo

Liking this post. I’m seeing some comments that are seemingly stereotyping occupants of govt hsg (and hsg living conditions) as well as judgements based on how someone ‘looks’. Have people learned nothing from this forum/ life in general?!

I have been wondering this too. Could be as simple as him wanting her to settle in his home and not needing a sleeping bag there
