Detectives yet to find sleeping bag CS was in when allegedly abducted at Blowholes campsite

There’s been a twist in the gripping case of CS with detectives still yet to get their hands on what could be the missing piece of the puzzle.

Detectives are still searching for the sleeping bag CS was curled up in when she was allegedly snatched from a tent at the Blowholes camp site.

A police spokesperson said it was believed the red and grey sleeping bag was still unaccounted for more than three weeks after CS vanished and was still missing today - days after she was found in a locked house in Carnarvon.

Forensic teams are examining other items from the site and the Carnarvon home where the four-year-old was found after 18 days.

The sleeping bag was deemed a critical item during the search for CS, with police releasing an image that was splashed on missing person posters all over the country.

Motorists travelling on the North West Coastal Highway have even been urged to keep an eye out for the item as police conducted search through roadside bins.

Officers waded through 50 cubic metres of rubbish recovered from bins from Minilya to Geraldton, but the sleeping bag was not found.

The item also was not found at the home of Terence Kelly, who is behind bars accused of abducting CS from her tent.

That’s the readily available models. TK was buying rare dolls worth 20x that price IMO. And I say IMO because posting the ss of his eBay transactions gets my post deleted. JMO

Where do we think the sleeping bag is? Did he not take CS immediately home, after abducting her, and it is still in the first place that he took her?

Did they find CS' pyjamas at his house?

Have her sleeping bag and her pyjamas been burned or destroyed?

I keep thinking about this too. Her clothing could be burned but I’m quite sure sleeping bags are heavily treated with flame retardant or other fire safety features. It would be really hard to destroy. I don’t think it could be burned anywhere near the house without drawing a lot of attention. Imo much more likely he threw it away somewhere.

I could not find the Fire Hazard labelling that is required by law for the Wanderer brand sleeping bag. I found this article on general sleeping bags in the US:-

Are Sleeping Bags Fire Retardant?
Tools and Gear / By Jeanie Beales

If you are concerned about how flame-retardant your sleeping bag actually is, and what that little label really means in terms of protection should a fire break out in the campsite, then this article should clear up those questions.

A common fear is how much time there will be to escape before the whole sleeping bag ignites, and many people want to know whether all sleeping bags are flame-retardant – even those imported from other countries.

Yes, sleeping bags are required to be fire retardant in the interests of safety
. Government regulations require the fabric burn rate of all sleeping bags to be tested, as they are made of combustible material and will be in use around campfires and where gas is used for cooking and lighting, involving flames that could put users at risk.

There is however a difference between a fabric being fire retardant and fire resistant, so let’s clear that up first.

Flame or fire resistance involves the structure of the material itself, like Kevlar for instance, which is tightly woven. The fabric will be resistant to catching fire, and should it catch fire, it won’t melt and drip onto the skin.

Flame- or fire-retardant fabric on the other hand involves treating a fabric – like cotton – with chemicals that will allow a small flame to self-extinguish rather than catching alight.

This means a flying ember from a crackling log fire won’t set a sleeping bag alight. Flame-retardant fabric should also not melt or drip when exposed to flame.

It would have been a very traumatic experience for you. That is why when my two year old son had to go to hospital many years ago, I was lucky that I was able to stay at the hospital in the parents' section so I could be near him.

My son had surgery at 16 and I insisted I room in with him because it was his first surgery. It was only an overnight stay but when he woke during the night, unable to move due to his pins and pain, he was very confused as to his whereabouts. Overprotective mother? Perhaps, but I also felt it necessary and helped take some of the load off the nursing staff when he needed something like help reaching for water or adjusting pillows and blankets, or even helping him with eating. I think all children, regardless of age, would find hospitals a scary place at times (and I spent a lot of time in hospital as an accident-prone kid, whereby parents were visitors only).

I just noticed this reference to TK driving his blue Mazda, when he was arrested. I thought in the dash cam video that it was a sedan, and not the Mazda SUV? I have not seen this reference before. I think the article is wrong? Unless the LE did drive the SUV back to TK's duplex and make it secure, so that forensic testing could take place.... rather than leaving it on the side of the road where he was arrested?

Kelly was stopped by police at 11.24pm that night while driving in his blue Mazda SUV down Robinson Street - the same street as the TAB - and arrested over the disappearance of CS.

Witnesses said two women were in the car with Kelly when police swooped.

He was pulled over and arrested while driving, reportedly with two women

CS attended school, which I won't name on this thread for privacy reasons, but it has been widely reported in MSM.

Yes, she was attending the school site but I think the school might run a preschool? She’s only 4. I was just musing because preschools will still facilitate an afternoon nap, but by first year of school, children aren’t accommodated for napping.

Ok, I promise I will now let sleeping sleep theories lie!

So curious why people think that who he was at the TAB with matters?

Also curious why things like blinds, sleeping habits, etc are at all relevant?

The discussion in previous posts was exploring how likely it was that CS was wide awake in the early hours because her normal sleep pattern was disrupted by the nocturnal lifestyle of the alleged abductor. It has implications for the nature of her captivity and indeed the nature of his mindset IMO.

I would guess he dumped the sleeping bag further out in a remote site near the blowholes campsite. (Moo)
Have seen no mention in MSM of the pink sleepsuit CS was wearing when she was abducted since she was found.

WHAT IS SUPERFUME?
Superfume is a cyanoacrylate fuming system for developing latent fingerprints in situ at major scenes of crime.

iv seen this process on a small scale but never entire rooms before

another way of doing it, is to introduce a vacuum and the super glue will become mist and stick to the finger prints, how they do it with entire rooms? .. not sure but very cool

Highly likely they're destroyed, next option, he's given them away or they're in a charity bin. If these 2 items are never found, it does reveal he had the presence of mind to destroy evidence of a crime successfully, he needs a bit of smarts for that of which Barbara Graham believes he doesn't have.

I think his neighbours underestimated him and his abilities, he chose NOT to be friendly. They wanted to be invited into the house, they were too nosy? Ends up for good reason but they didn't follow through when his behaviour became suspicious and had suddenly changed. JMO

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

The media has led us to believe that TK has never had a driving licence so perhaps when he bought his new car, it was registered but IMO maybe he has not paid for the next year's registration. Perhaps that's why he often drives at night thinking he will get away with it as fewer police are on the roads then. Did LE remove his plates or did he? Which car was he driving on the night of the abduction? The silver car or the blue one? Why was he driving another person's car the night he was arrested? ALL IMO

IIRC, She woke her mom at 1:30 for water. She was awake and playing when the police arrived about 1:30. Maybe that’s her sleep pattern.

It’s really bizarre to be honest. From the dash cam footage the car is definitely a light silver. Good point about the driving at night. In all the reports it’s never said he has ever been in that car driving for a fact. Even the other neighbours said he was driving by weird but they never said which car. In my opinion I wonder if he has been getting help from his duplex neighbour, with the car..maybe even helping take care of CS. I don’t believe there is anyway that she didn’t hear anything through there joining walls, unless CS wasn’t there the whole time. But even still, you would hear talking, crying, laughing, screaming …everything. I can understand the other neighbours not hearing too much because there is a fair distance between there houses but when your in a duplex you share common walls. Also no one reported any other unusual cars in the area at the time or anyone other then neighbours being around.

Many of us have different gifts. Few of us are gifted in everything - usually one gift stands out such as art. A gifted artist may only be talented in art which they focus on and a total mess in the rest of his/her life. IMO TK could be gifted in computer skills so he has focused on these plus he could also have become very knowledgeable about doll collecting to fulfill his fantasy of his family life and for investment perhaps. But IMO he probably has low EQ (Emotional Intelligence) which includes social awareness, emotion management, adaptability, empathy, and emotion perception.

As no one has reported that TK has ever worked in his life so IMO he could be on a Government pension (maybe a disability of some type). I am now wondering if PW did everything for him and when she died, he was given a Care Worker who came in to do his cleaning and so on.

Watching the YouTube video, of CS. That is the absolute definition of "miracle". No one could watch that without tearing up.

Amazing. I so wish that all of the other threads about missing children could end up with a happy ending like the story of CS.

Maybe. But that was her first camping trip with her baby sister (who might not normally sleep next to her). So a different sleeping environment too.
