I'm confused about how this even "common ground" when the mook himself confessed multiple times that she only TRIED to hit him.
wtf is that about

Indeed.
However, given the fact an angry screaming woman was now on his outdoor balcony at 2 am in the morning, the police would have arrived at his door, long before the pizza.
That is the same thing I just said.Every time I see the sentence, "The consequences are no longer his to bear"
I have to ask myself, where was that line, where he no longer had any consequences for any of his behavior, toward his "guest"?
So you wouldn't scream for someone to call the police the second you were on that balcony? You'd try the rock climbing option first?
Which is more commonsensical?
But she wasn't put in the ledge. And if we are speculating here, then common sense would state that when someone puts you not on a balcony, but balcony ledge 14 storeys high, you'd probably try to scale to a safer location
That's another thing.... It's been HOW many hours now?

because for some it's less about logic and more about wimmin hate/dat damage controlThis is what i don't understand. Posters are going on about going by the facts. Why then make up some nonsensical nonsense about the layout of the apartment when we have the photos to look at. We have the facts in front of us and people still are ignoring them to go off into fantasyland they mistakenly believe is "logic".
Please, humor me.
GT calls the police and says, "There's a woman on my balcony and she's very drunk and I'm afraid of her. No, she's not armed. She tried to hit me with a piece of my telescope. No, not that piece, a smaller piece. No, I already took it away from her. Well, yes, I am on probation, now that you mention it."
The dispatcher says, "have you tried opening the front door, putting her belongings in the hallway, and telling her to leave?"
GT says, "I told her to leave, but then I asked her to stay and spend the night. Then I told her to leave again, but I told her she couldn't take her keys and passport, and she didn't leave."
"Okay, what happened when you let her have her keys and passport?"
???
When the neighbour below Tostee's unit saw WW's legs dangling from the balcony & screamed, she heard a scream "presumably" from WW.....I wonder if the neighbour's scream (at that precise moment) startled & frightened WW, causing her to fall to her death ??...
With all due respect, there was nothing peaceful about that restraint. Not if the door is 20 feet away, around the couch, past the kitchen cabinet, down a narrow hallway, with a deadbolt and doorknob to open.
Good luck maintaining a peaceful restraint through all of that.
Youd be angry and screaming if you have been giving paint thinner to drink laced with any kind of unknown drug
Matey I might be wrong but I think the neighbour said they screamed when WW fell and they heard another scream presumably WW's.When the neighbour below Tostee's unit saw WW's legs dangling from the balcony & screamed, she heard a scream "presumably" from WW.....I wonder if the neighbour's scream (at that precise moment) startled & frightened WW, causing her to fall to her death ??...
That's not how it would happen, and what you are actually demonstrating is exactly how men are held to some impossible standard of being able to control every situation physically with a woman, otherwise they are labelled and mocked as a wuss.
What on Earth would make him dare open that door again without someone else present, like law enforcement?
Similar actions here - refusal to leave when ordered to do so is an abrogation of responsibility. Seriously assaulting someone in their home with a heavy metal object is an abrogation of responsibility. And so on.
He was the one who physically brought her to the balcony, and put her on the balcony. He didn't get a chance to, she'd already tried to make her escape by then. But he certainly talked about doing so.
