So what was it that Tostee had in his hand in the CCTV footage. The same thing that he had hidden in his pants? The same thing he throws in a bin? Why did he need to conceal that in his pants and then get rid of it? He removed evidence from the crime scene!

Why a knife?
Those white pebbles had Tostee scared.
Chased the 3 steps off the balcony.:puke:

The interesting thing with this sort of comment about the knife is that for all we know he had a knife in his hand. Not saying he did, but we have no way of knowing what he was doing at that specific point in time to exacerbate her fear. He could have run his hand across his throat, gestured something that made her think he was going to hurt her further.

Very often the delay in help arriving, whether it be a neighbour or emergency services, is too little too late. Seconds can mean the difference between a person surviving an assault. He could have been out that door in a flash - that was why she tried to escape IMO.

If he was intent on assaulting her, why put her out on the balcony? Remember, she was attacking him and he did not retaliate other than to restrain her, and ultimately neutralise her by putting her on the balcony (to calm down, sleep it off.......whatever.) How can it be credibly contented he could reasonably have foreseen she would go over the balcony for any reason? Clearly, he wanted nothing other than the violence to stop. If he wanted her blood, all he had to do to get it was engage with her inside the Unit and slug it out with her.

If that were true, the Prosecutor would have been all over it. Instead, no mention of it at all.

I thought it was interesting too. Is Holt putting thoughts into the juries mind? lol.

Entertainment value via intimidation. Tostee IMO was getting off (intellectually, sexually, anyone's guess) on the control he was wielding over her. In his eyes, I believe he enjoyed seeing how women reacted when he did certain things, acted certain ways. Here he had an intoxicated and clearly distressed woman, expressing and displaying fear, and he was toying with her. I think I have explained why I think he put her out there in enough posts now, people are going to get sick of hearing it lol.:twocents:

Odd, he had his recording that demonstrated he had done nothing wrong. But he chose to phone his solicitor at speed and failed to call 000.
imo

Holt says more importantly, where is the evidence #tostee even knew how to do a "military-style hold"?

Where did the prosecutor ever mention "military-style hold"? This bloke is making stuff up as he goes along. He's already contradicted himself on a few occasions now.

I am seriously not understanding the comments saying 'he didn't know she would go over the balcony, therefore he is not guilty of murder'. He is not charged with premeditated murder. He is charged with murder due to instilling such a fear in Warriena that she fled using the only avenue that she could see open to her at the time.

I am sure that Royall did not know that his victim would climb out of the bathroom window and fall to her death after suffering his violence. It did not make him any less guilty of her murder.

Yes, Warriena was drunk. Yes, it probably made her irrational and not think clearly. So, is that what you do with a drunk, shaken and scared person? Tell them you would have let them go home, but they had been bad. Intimidate them further by forcing them onto your balcony and locking them out there, and then leave them to their own devices? No .... you take care of them. Because drunk people can be unpredictable.
