Hey JLZ sorry if I am asking a silly question … I’m not sure of your reference DM? Would you mind elaborating - sorry!

It's not what MFC did though. He said he didn't even stop to discuss with FFC where she'd searched, he assumed she'd searched inside and around the house, and so he immediately ran to the adjoining block uphill.I agree that the drive occurred before neighbours were involved and before the FD arrived back. I also think that it makes sense to be one of the first things you would do when looking for someone if you can’t find them on the property - jump in the car.
What I don’t understand is why the drive wasn’t ever discussed by the FM/FD in podcasts or interviews as part of the timeline. Other things are repeatedly mentioned about that morning like what time the FD left and why, the various activities etc and even where the FM/FD searched before and after the police arrived. They were the last people to see William alive, they want him found and want to help by giving as much information as possible about what happened that morning but getting in the car and looking for him - which could be perfectly innocent and a natural thing to do when looking for a missing child, is never discussed.
Yes I'm sure they would and I don't blame them. GJ said of those investigations "we are following a line of enquiry" and it's logical the task force would pursue each line of enquiry until they were in a position to rule each person of interest as having no involvement imo
The Foster Carers, if innocent of being involved will no doubt have the same feeling towards DL
Has Laidlaw himself, ever said / named the FM as a POI? Or only those more senior to him have said or implied that?
Does anyone know??
However, it would be horrendous for anyone named as a POI, in any case like this......
IMO

Given that location, you'd jump in a car because you were worried that William had made it as far as Batar Creek Road where he could be knocked down. I can't say at what point they should have had that as their primary concern. Perhaps first thing, as you're all saying. But you wouldn't get in the car to search Benaroon Drive. You can cover all that ground faster and more thoroughly on foot IMO.
It’s in the background of the FMFC walkthrough when they go around to the deck, so I’d say yes. Maybe 6 days later? How long were the FP’s and FGM staying at that house after WT went missing?Wasn't the washing on the line after BS had fixed the machine? Not in the initial few days?
If MFC didn't know that FFC had driven down Batar Creek Road, it is surprising that he didn't go down there in his searching (After-all, "The foster grandmother, in the same police statement, said she was also concerned William might have made his way to nearby Batar Creek Road which had "lots of traffic moving back and forth"William Tyrrell's foster nan named neighbour in investigation . !Thank you for that Slouth.
You know I have never come across any information that the male carer or the neighbours saw or knew she drove down there?
In my opinion it appears she drove down there prior to searching the surrounding area and neighbour's properties. I can understand how that may be troubling to Police

True, but he'd only driven one direction along Batar Creek Road. Well, perhaps FFC shared more than he remembered.Perhaps he didn't jump in the car as he had just driven up the street from Batar Creek Rd?

Consequent upon this aspect of MFC's searching, did he not think it strange that FFC had not told LE about driving down there?
Posing this question as it is JMO about this
Another thing that is odd about that, is that with all of the cars mentioned over the years, and all of the "goings on" in Benaroon Drive that morning, there has been no mention of the FGM Grey Mazda in the street..... no one saw it?? no one heard it??Everything they say is strange to me lol. All I know is that once the neighbours became involved no one has come forward to say they saw her drive down there.

The other end of the timeline is also interesting. This means that starting from 9:30, the family finished having breakfast, FFC played in the garden with William for about ten minutes, played again in the garden with William and his sister, set up the kids to draw on the patio, which is when she took the pictures, and it's still only 9:37.A critical 96-minute window betwee:30n when William Tyrrell’s foster dad drove to the shops and police arrived at the scene the day the three-year-old disappeared could hold the key to solving the baffling case.
Mobile phone records have shown that William’s foster father left his mother-in-law’s home in Kendall at 9.30am on Friday, September 12, 2014.

She may have mentioned it and we just don't know about it.I have come to the same conclusion as Slouth. That the drive was before AMS or FF.
It makes sense, that if he's not in the immediate area, take the car and check he hasn't walked there, particularly with the risk of being hit by a car.
But it doesn't make sense to me if she didn't tell anyone this on the day.
Yes true JLZ.... Most of us would be exhausted with all of those activities before morning tea..... there was also bike riding and racing and crashing into the garden as well.....The other end of the timeline is also interesting. It was most likely something she did much earlier that morning, not after the child went missing. When they were changing the children out of their nighties and into their clothing, maybe mom or grandma washed out the nighties in the sink and hung them out, so dirty clothes wouldn't pile up---since there was no working washer. With the amount of Police, SES, volunteers and media that were swarming the house, I'd find it very suspicious if she was handwashing any clothes amongst this mayhem. Especially the clothes of the child that is missing.

BBM - Maybe they were instructed not to by Police, as could be the reason for so much more they didn't mention.
