Last Friday, both parents were charged with stalking and intimidation, with the foster mother facing two charges and the foster dad a single count.

The charges of stalking, intimidation intending fear of physical or mental harm are domestic related, according to court documents.

As the investigation into the toddler's 2014 disappearance continues, the couple - whose identities are suppressed for legal reasons - are due to face Hornsby Local Court on the allegations later this month.

The stalking charges were laid just after it was revealed William's foster father had been charged in January with two counts of 'knowingly providing false and misleading evidence'.

Some of the items are available for purchase from a location in northwestern Sydney while others can be collected from the suburb where the couple lives.

The foster parents bought the house early last year after successfully selling their previous home for more than $4 million.

It was in that previous house that William Tyrrell lived for two years and eight months up until his disappearance as a three-year-old in September 2014.

I guess regardless of the outcome of the future court cases they are walking away from fostering, this case has crushed the family unit they were trying to create ..... It's actually very sad..... but in all honesty I don't blame them if they walk away.....

I don't read any more into the types of items listed than simply getting rid of stuff that is no longer required.

Both (former) FPs have some substantial lawyer fees ahead of them, so I guess any non-essential items that can be turned into cash will be.

They haven't yet. Although FACS investigating an allegation isn't dependent on guilt in court. The fact that a child has been removed from their care indicates the allegation has been substantiated as far as FACS is concerned. So yeah, their fostering careers are as good as over. IMO.

I don't think anyone necessarily disagrees with that.
But we weren't sure, which is why we were wondering if BS ever got his kincare children back - once he had been cleared by the courts (and if they applied to get them back).

Either way, it seems the FP have made their own decision for their immediate future.

I think you would be quite shocked to learn that many Foster Children are returned to the same foster home after a full investigation of serious allegations, if they have been found to be unsubstantiated or not guilty....
The children are removed by FACS for the entire period of the investigation.

I have seen this occur many times in my professional life....

The foster father, who police claim 'lied about something we can prove', gave the allegedly false evidence to the secretive NSW Crime Commission late last year.
He testified for up to two hours after being secretly summonsed to appear at the NSWCC Surry Hills headquarters on November 11.

I agree Sleep, and I think we all hope the ‘result’ will come sooner rather than later.

IMO, to have the answer to what happened to William + the bringing to justice of anyone with a hand in that occurrence, can’t be anything but ‘the right result’. How could it be ‘wrong’ since that’s what we’ve all spent 7 + years striving for ?

Well, I want the *right* result, not just a result for a result's sake. It's not justice if the wrong people get blamed.

None of the current charges have anything to do with William, so even if they're found guilty on these charges it doesn't bring us any closer to WT.

As soon as I saw that WATER TANK, I first rolled my eyes then assumed it'd be the Daily Fail, and yep! Of course it was. Gotta imply that there's something dodgy about the WATER TANK, don't they?! It's crazy the that the journalists in the mainstream tabloids can print about people but regular twitter users get taken to court for defamation.

I have known of many cases where children are removed UNTIL the charges are investigated. If the charges are dismissed the children are often returned to the home.

Judging by the post that katy was replying to (below) .... I think the presumption is that if they are guilty of assault on a child, they would never be able to foster again (if they wanted to).

We don't yet know what the stalking and intimidation is about, so it is hard to weigh up how a guilty verdict for that would affect any foster caring.
