Sorry to go back to earlier discussions about FA.

But the Family including the children had visited the Foster GM and participated in a Christmas Street Party/gathering. So perhaps someone in the street took a liking or informed someone else about William and then when they returned the following year they acted on this.

I am just saying this in relation to others speculating how coincidental that William went missing from a rare visit. But perhaps there was interest in him from a earlier interaction.

I feel it points to someone in the street or someone they have interaction with. It could be someone who attends the GAPA meetings. MOO

The hearing will involve about 500 pages of evidence and transcript from the Crime Commission, and possibly some audio recordings of the commission, the magistrate was told.

Five hundred pages? That's a boat load of evidence/transcript!

William's foster father, who also cannot be named, has pleaded not guilty to two charges of giving false or misleading evidence to the crime commission.

He will face a two-day hearing in October, where audio recordings of his police interview are expected to be played.

The charges relate to evidence the 56 year old gave during a hearing into Williams disappearance.

So sounds like a separate hearing, not the inquest.

UBM

The Australian says that audio of recordings of testimony given before the crime commission could also be played, while the transcripts (of those audio recordings of testimony) may be read to the court. (That will be those 500 pages, imo)

Definitely about whatever happened at the Crime Commission hearing. imo

I trust they don't intend to read all 500 pages to the court. Seems to me that if part of a person's testimony is under question, then only that part -- and maybe some part around it for context -- would need to be read out?

OTOH, if lots of their testimony is under question, then maybe a whole lot of it would need to be read out.

Also, I wonder if their individual testimonies are going to be compared for anomalies?

What I was wanting to find out though was the subject of the crime commission hearing--was it about FFC's testimony at the inquest, or about something else?

I think that is what we all want to know. And have wanted to know since the moment we heard they were both charged for misleading the Crime Commission. Seems we are no closer to that answer. We just have some court dates.

The Australian article doesn't say what it is about either.

Court Dates: Does News have the dates correct?

[The FM] was charged in April and on Tuesday her legal representative Rylie Hahn-Hamilton told Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court registrar James Wiseman that a hearing date needed to be set so the foster mother could fight the charge.

The court was told the hearing would be expected to last two days, with the prosecution to call a “police informant” as a witness.

About 500 pages of evidence would form part of the case and some audio recordings from the NSW Crime Commission would be played during the hearing, the court was told before November 3 and 4 were chosen as dates the hearing would take place.

...

The foster father has pleaded not guilty to assault and intimidation charges.

The foster mother is attempting to have assault and intimidation charges thrown out on mental health grounds on June 30.

In the father’s case, a three-day hearing will be held from January 16, 2023.

The way I see it is:

FM June 30th - assault charge (Mental Health review)
FD January 16th - assault charge (not guilty plea entered)

FD October - misleading the CC charge (not guilty plea entered)
FM Nov 3 & 4 - misleading the CC charge (not guilty plea entered)

I assume you're right about not reading out 500 pages to the court--there is a thing called documentary evidence. Documentary evidence - Wikipedia

Janet Fife Yeomans, from The Telegraph on April 14, 2022

Paraphrased:

Metadata has confirmed that photos were taken at the time stated, despite questions asked at the Inquest if they were taken 2 hours earlier.

From this article

Thanks, but IMO we still have no reference as to who confirmed the times and if the confirmation referred to by JFY in her article was the result of the Coroner requesting it after the bio father's lawyer raised it as an issue during the inquest.

A police informant will be called as a witness during a two-day court hearing for William Tyrrell's foster mother, who denies giving misleading or false information to the NSW Crime Commission.

The charges relate to evidence the 56-year-old gave during a hearing into William's disappearance from his foster grandmother's home.

BBM. It's good to have that confirmed. The hearing would have to be the inquest.

There doesn't seem to be a date mentioned for FFC's trial.

hey JLZ, I don’t think it necessarily means it was the Inquest.

About Us

The Commission is unique in its investigative and intelligence gathering powers. It is one of the few law enforcement and intelligence agencies in Australia that can hold hearings and supply evidence obtained in the course of its investigations to courts and various agencies.

I accept that now: not necessarily. I haven't, though, seen it said that the NSWCC did in fact hold a hearing in this matter. I don't think interrogation by NSWCC is the same thing as a hearing. I could be wrong.

Does CO's or GJ's book or any journalist such as Liah Harris, give an explanation of the corrected time of the last photos of WT? There is an explanation in Ally Chumley's book but we can't use her book as a reference. Surely these other sources, especially GJ could give a very public, full explanation as to how the "corrected time" was verified and came to be accepted under his watch of the investigation or HR even?
Caroline Overington from The Australian

Also states: (Paraphrased) that the photo taken at 0937hrs has been verified, and that William was alive at that time.

I wish you could read The Australian article that I linked above.

Audio of recordings of testimony given before the crime commission.

I think testimony is given in a hearing. Otherwise it would just be a statement(s).

imo

No not specifically, but it could have been one of the 48 documents released to the media by the Coroner last July???

On Tuesday, Deputy State Coroner Harriet Grahame released 48 documents in relation to William's disappearance, including transcripts of police interviews with persons of interest, transcripts of telephone calls, statements from police officers and photos of a Spider-Man suit that police planted in the bush as part of a surveillance operation.

Wish we had a list of those 48 documents, if not the documents themselves.
