I think the difference in the Keisha case as opposed to WT's case was that it looked like a text book case from the start with the parents as the suspects. The evidence they removed would have confirmed straight away that some type of trauma may have occurred to the victim in the flat on those particular articles. They just had to wait, knowing that through other means, they could keep an eye on the other children with varying excuses until police were led to her body. In WT's case, if there were any DNA of his found in the searches of BS property they could straight away charge him with at the very least being an accessory to abduction and very likely have him in jail without bail on those charges until a trial. The reason is he poses a greater risk to society in general. He might start throwing out other people's names while he is in custody and others would be investigated if it really wasn't him. Even if they don't come up with a body, the charges as they progress could become murder. It has been stated a number of times on this thread, he does not have a criminal record.IMO

True but my point was despite the fact the evidence was there, nothing was said by LE for a year to the public. For all we knew they found nothing. And it was probably very obvious from the evidence that poor little Kiesha was dead but again, nothing was said about the evidence at all. They still waited it out until they found the grave. The LE do seem convinced he is alive so I think it is a waiting game of a different kind here. I hope so.

I don't know about a Govt notified sale meaning the sale was held up by investigation.
Just looked my house sales - all Govt notified sales....they were not held up by investigation.
I think it relates to the stamp duty having been paid. imo

Thanks sosocurious learning new things on here everyday :)

I don't believe a word coming from BS's mouth. LE have made no effort to stop the public thinking that BS is a POI and that says a lot to me. He's the only person to have been in the spotlight and I think LE aren't daft. They aren't trying to take the focus off someone else, they are suspicious of BS.

My sincerest apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere within the threads, but in case it hasn't:

Does anyone know if there is technology whereby you can look at a place anywhere on earth at a certain point of time? I mean, we have all these surveillance things up in space, don't we? If there is such a thing - and I suspect there is - why can't the police just zoom in and capture every 30 seconds of a set timeframe that morning (to see exactly what happened)? I appreciate something like this would probably cost an absolute fortune, but surely no more than funding all the staff working on this case?

Edited to add:
Okay, so there's this: http://history.nasa.gov/NP-119/ch7.htm - which captures 90 minute intervals. But I'm sure what I'm suggesting could be done!

My hubby and I have been looking at real estate in another town to where we live, and because that town was badly hit by floods a few years ago, hubby actually uses google earth but goes back to the time of those floods. That way we can see exactly where the water reached at that time. So you can "go back in time" to a certain degree, just on google earth. However it is only for significant events. But those events would simply be what google put as available online to the public. I'm sure there stored data would be much greater than what they release to us.
Also, the technology available would be able to provide much clearer detail than anything we ever get to see.
I have no idea what LE has access to though (or how much time and bureaucracy they would have to go through)

Yes, I did say 'may' sosocurious :D only because they were investigating the properties, and someone mentioned the sale had been held up. But this is pure speculation lol It does mean the stamp duty is paid.

In all states the actual sale is notified through government departments IE the solicitor or conveyer is required to put a notification into the government with full details of the sale after settlement.
So the result is a Government notified sale

Anything prior to that is Real Estate Agents information and may not be correct
Agents have been known to fudge the figures

im wondering what the criminal psychologist thinks of bs behaviour so far (and possibly other behaviours we dont know) for example his posting on facebook about william, driving past the search, posting a monotone voice video, his past alleged offences etc, does he fit the profile they describe?

Because only family knew in advance of toddler's visit to Kendall, police believe his kidnapper was in the area beforehand

remember mh370, the satellite images of objects were pretty far, it required people physically goes to the site to confirm whether the objects was mh370, but always turned out not to be the plane.

Yup. And it turned out a lot of the military satellites that people thought *for sure* would have been able to catch imagery of the plane, weren't even turned on at the time. Or at least if they weren't willing to share information for the hundreds of souls on board a multimillion dollar jet....

If a 777 can go missing without a trace [other than the flaperon...] despite sophisticated equipment on board and satellites all over the sky, one little boy is going to be a heck of a lot harder to find on a satellite image.

Wasn't it reported in MSM that there were incidents of persons creeping around Spedding's backyard in the dark and that's why he made the video?
I can't, no matter how hard I try, see anything that tells me BS is guilty of anything to do with WT's disappearance, he is not that clever a man by all accounts to cover his tracks so well, given the forensic tests at his home, his business, his vehicles, the digging at the home. Somebody convince me please.

I know what you are saying and I have doubts but not huge ones. There are plenty of cases of criminals getting away with crimes for a long time. Daniel Morcombe is a classic example. He did not seem to be the brightest man around. There was no Dna in his Car. There was nothing to be found in his home..... I just don't believe that as he has not been caught by now it means it not him. Also Kiesha Abrahams. Not the most intellectual people ether but took a lot to charge them.... The people in bill speddings yard are possible but also I can imagine he is feeling very paranoid whether he is guilty or not with all the media.... I have always tried to not witch hunt BS as I've seen so pretty wild awful things said about an this unconvicted man. But going with my gut but more the circumstances I'm starting to lean to him being the abductor. Of course I don't know, but have not yet seen of heard any other viable explanation.

One does start to wonder if they are still friends after all that has occurred? I am thinking that BS could have terminated the friendship because Colin blabbed and didnt help his case....or equally possible.....Col has terminated the friendship for...oh so many reasons. I dont know if they are or are not but it does seem a bit quiet on the MS/CY side of things to me.

I have in thought their May be less of a relationship there but in reality Col has probably been told to stop talking as it's not helping.....

I think the difference is the absolutely mind boggling 1000s km2 that had to be covered in images that made it harder looking for a plane that propelled itself into the water. Weather hindered some of the operation too. Countries may not wish to share Sats for tactical reasons :)
Even Australia's over horizon radar didn't pick it up.

I think though a satellite image of the hour can say a lot of things. Crikies, if I was an innocent POI Id be tracking down an image to show where my car is. There has to be more to purchasing satellite images.

Yup. And it turned out a lot of the military satellites that people thought *for sure* would have been able to catch imagery of the plane, weren't even turned on at the time. Or at least if they weren't willing to share information for the hundreds of souls on board a multimillion dollar jet....

And the guy got bail. Disgusting.
How does that even happen? These are the most innocent, vulnerable members of our society! Crimes against children should be automatic no bail, the risks are just too great.

In response to a previous poster, I believe the reason that BS's alibi is so complicated is that this is all he has to plead his case. The things he has claimed to do that day are:
- Call William's GM in the am
- Have 'coffee'
- Go to the school function
- Fix another machine in the 'afternoon'
- Call William's GM in the pm

I believe he is borrowing the coffee story as someone has a receipt he is using to 'prove' he was there. He is also borrowing the story of attending the school function. Without either of these NON-VERIFIABLE events the only things that are actually supported by (I assume) verifiable information are:
- Call to the GM in the am
- Dunbogan machine repair in the pm
- Call to GM in the pm

Without those two other events his day is pretty focussed on William ...

Also - if either of those events were true then why were they not considered in his video? He could have easily said he couldn't possibly have been there because he was in both of those locations. He didn't say that. He said he wasn't 'due' at the house that day. If he had a real alibi he would have used it.
2 things about this. First of all a school assembly (30 mins maybe if you knew approx time of award) and coffee (30 mins?) plus house call that arvo. So still a lot of blanks. But on the other hand if BS did abduct Wt to call the house that arvo is very brazen if guilty..... But on the other hand highly likely he would of known William was missing as from area etc so odd that he called... But the again would be have known it was the house/family he had been too....
