oops mine was long!

just this -

"Natalie said that after William was finally removed from Brendan and Karlie's care, the pair had infrequent visiting rights and could only see him at a public shopping centre near Ryde".
"Karlie and Brendan could see William for one hour every seven or eight weeks at the Macquarie Centre," she said.

Funny though, because this is coming from NC and i'm not sure i believe everything she says. could be part truth...

Yes at a public shopping centre. Are there private shopping centres?
Maybe a child contact service was located near or even within the shopping centre grounds.
imo

Good point, soso. If these were supervised visits, they would need to be somewhat convenient for the case worker.

Perhaps they only managed to see William every 7 or 8 weeks, if they had to meet at a halfway point or travel to William's area of residence. Did Karlie and/or Brendan have a vehicle, money for petrol, a day when they felt like travelling?

I think Natalie's memory is hazy ... or selective.

If I was a cynic and wanted to be unkind, I would suggest that this most recent article is an attempt by NC to mitigate any future sentence that may be imposed upon BC as a result of his current court proceedings and not ‘about William’ at all.

I personally don't see anything sinister with the pic. I have always thought that it may be a screenshot of an excited, flushed William chatting with his foster father on Skype or FaceTime .. when his foster father went away on business.

The police may have a copy of the photo to remind them how William looked on a PC image, because they were likely trolling unsavoury sites looking for images of William. :(

ETA: Perhaps I can see this kind of scenario because, from time to time, we have taken screenshots of overseas family while we are chatting with them on FaceTime.

There used to be a DoCS’ (now FaCS) office adjacent to Top Ryde Shopping Centre many moons ago. I’m not sure if it’s still there or was in the early ‘teens’ (2011-2014) though.

A source who has known Collins for decades said he is a “good guy” who has had substance abuse issues over his lifetime.

NC might have some wishful thinking about her sons substance abuse prior to Williams disappearance. Maybe she suffers from what many mothers/wives/girlfriends suffer from - blind spot when it comes to their loved one.

This seems to be a pattern of behaviour when you consider she has also admitted to helping to hide her son, Karlie and William from FaCS in the latest MSM article:

http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/pa...d/news-story/1a73063218a15527c703ad7d2136710e

Also that she failed to appear as a witness and an arrest warrant had to be issued for her irt the charges against Mitchell (ie; damage to property, intimidating her with intent to cause fear of harm and common assault):

'William was always happy to see him, I remember once he bounced out of the elevator like a kangaroo and straight into his dad's arms.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...her-THANKS-Schapelle-Corby.html#ixzz54fwQDkME

“The last time they saw him, William yelled ‘Daddy, Daddy, Daddy’ and jumped out of the pram like a kangaroo.
“William loved his dad. There was a real bond.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-grandmother-slams-secrecy.html#ixzz54fsvlMdu

The grandmother claims William's parents are 'pouring everything they have into being strong for their other children' but want him to be found.

The parents were separated but are now back together.

So August 2017 is when NC is referring to when he was in the spare room?

Although I'm glad WT was headline news for a short while, I find the NewsCorpse article a disgrace. They could of editorialised GMs rants a little better, rather than letting them sit as fact. Let alone the question of whether to print them to begin with.

GM really highlights the type of mentality where everyone else is to blame for your own troubles that seems to go along with drug abuse. For some people. I know there's a whole heap of anxiety and depression behind all this, but at some point you need to face your demons and that point is exactly when you choose to have children.

I’m intrigued with this. Do social workers go look for people or were they called to that video store?

Not that I know for sure, but it seems more likely to me that the pair were arguing and the police were called to move them on. That incident would of been noted by social workers.

(snipped)

Maybe, but if William was taken into care at about 7 months, and the video store incident happened when he was about 11 months, and Karlie and Brendan were "hiding out" with him at the time . . . that would have been kidnapping more or less, and maybe the police would have been brought in to look for them? Could the police have approached the video store as somewhere K & B were known to frequent, and asked for the staff to contact police if either of them showed up?

This is why I'm interested that K & B appear to have been living together at the time of William's disappearance, especially if they'd previously been apart. They'd apparently kidnapped William, lost him, separated, then two years later they're back together or sharing a house together, and suddenly William disappears again.

So yes maybe Natalie's talking about August 2017 when she says Brendan is in Karlie's spare room, but she also--if reported correctly--said that on the afternoon of the disappearance, police were at Karlie and Brendan's door, singular, and arrested the pair. So they were together in September 2014, a couple of years after William was taken into care. Only I'm not quite clear when they first separated. Their being together in 2014 looks more significant to me if it was a recent reconjunction, than if they'd been together all along and only parted afterwards.

Julian’s sister, who is a year older than Julian and whom I shall call Sarah, had been removed from her mother’s care before Julian was born, and the Children’s Court had allocated parental responsibility for her to the Minister; she was later placed with the same carers as Julian, a week after he was. Subsequently, having found that there was no realistic possibility of restoration to their parents, the Children’s Court made final orders allocating parental responsibility for Julian and Sarah to the Minister until they attain 18; their care plans contemplate that they will remain in their placement with their current carers until 18.

The two became a couple in 2009. News.com.au cannot reveal other details about the complicated family history due to child protection laws.

“I’d given them bond money to hide out for three months and then they were caught and told me they were taking William away.
“He [Brendan] died that day.”

This complicated family history.....:tantrum:

Maybe they were hiding from someone or something else beside facs.

Media Sensationalism IMO, and nothing of any consequence really. How does it help find William?
