It is very possible that the crime is solved, other than locating William. It seems to be the conviction they are going for now. And going hard at it. imo

IMO this 3 Klm radius can be torn apart as there have been few recent incidences where very you children have been found 5 & 7 Klm’s away.

It’s proof a child can get that far unassisted.

Sorry - missed the part about the 3km radius. Shall delete my post

Does this indicate that the search began at 48 Benaroon? It shows a little video clip and sure looks like it.

I guess we dont know if they have also plotted where the searchers were, and when, ... which may help prove that a small child could not get past them without being seen or found.

There are so many variables that may prove many things. I am sure the experts have crawled all over this to try to close any loopholes.

Just heard on The Project (Ch 10) nightly rerun that today they "cleared vegetation where a child's toy and other items were found yesterday".

I hope I am not way behind on reading posts and that this hasn't already been discussed and put to bed! I find this new forum can tend to hide posts on me!
Anyway, this article says the Brendan Collins started doing his own searches 2 weeks ago when he got out of prison. I'm wondering if police were kind of (obviously) following him, and seeing where he was going and etc... and is that why this new huge search is commencing now? Because they saw him in the area and so they think he went to 'visit the site', so to speak? Or could it potentially be because BC discovered something during his searching and reported it to LE? Or... ?? Thoughts?

Collins, who was recently released from prison, admitted to the Daily Telegraph in an exclusive interview that he started digging in bushland two weeks ago for his little boy. An emotional Collins, who is also known as Brendan Clifford, told the newspaper he thought his son was dead.

“I’ve been out looking for you with a shovel digging in bushland … I know there’s no point,” he said. “I think you’re dead, I think someone has hurt you bad. I’m so sorry I couldn’t help you.”

Missing toddler William Tyrrell's father says he's searched bushland with a shovel | Daily Mail Online

Collins said he was the first person police questioned after William's disappearance, which he claims was a 'slap in the face'.

'William is constantly on my mind. I don't know if I'll ever find him. I'm not sure I want to,' he said.

Collins claimed he no longer uses drugs, and that he wants to see a psychologist to deal with losing his son.

'I will when I get some money because I get flashbacks of him in that Spiderman suit playing in the garden.'

Sorry ak, I missed your reply! I haven't seen where media are freely reporting BC's presence at the search site.. I either am wayyyyyyy behind, or I have posts in hiding again, or they haven't been posted yet?

If the search is in fact commencing right at the site where the poor lad went missing, and it's going for a 3km area.. I'm seriously wondering if they are now looking into that whole neighbourhood?? All the people who lived there, all who moved.. ?? Here on WS we can't really point fingers, however we've suspected some odder residences along the way... now Jubes comes up with that they were looking for a boy at the time, but not necessarily evidence.. now he says they're doing forensic searches.. and the searches seem to be starting at 48 Benaroon. It's about time! I wonder if they will be ripping up *everyone's* patio stones and looking under woodpiles, or just a selection of residences? How does BC and the timing of his personal searching factor into all of this? jmo

ETA I hope you guys don't mind me posting my thoughts. I think you guys are on a reverse time zone from me.. so not seeing any feedback from y'all.. but something else has just occurred to me in regard to 'why now, and why here'.. in addition to BC searching.. there is also the possibility that a newer resident in the immediate area could have purchased a home, and after time, potentially discovered something, either inside the home, or on the property? ie hidden up in the rafters, not discovered until someone started doing some demo work prior to renovation perhaps? Someone digging up their yard to install a pool, or whatever? My mind is RACING.

Here is another search (seems to be from current search June 2018) photo in which it appears to be the area immediately behind FG's home from where WT went missing. jmo.

I can't read this article, does anyone have a subscription? Sorry I can't even post a link. It's about the 'grandmother speaking out'.
Also, there is this tweet saying they're searching across the road from FG's home.

Interesting that the initial search right at the time was only 10 days, however they are going IN to this search expecting it to be 4 weeks? jmo

At first I was sensing that this is just more of the same.. scare tactics.. trying to draw out someone who knows something.. the things that are being said are the same things that were said years ago (ie if you know anything, best you come to us first, before we come to YOU; if you know something and don't come to us, you may find yourself at risk legally, type of thing; don't forget about the million dollar reward and it is only for recovery of WT, NOT for prosecution, etc.)..
However.. to take on a FOUR WEEK search has to have more meaning than that, that is huge money. I'm actually starting to feel somewhat hopeful.

Same with this. Is he scraping a sample off these pavers? I wonder, too, if the pavers have been dug up? And, if so, whose garden are they digging up?

Toy found in search for William
To me it looks like a flip phone (could he be taking photos?); or.. a laser thingy.. my husband has one that looks similarish from what I can see, and my husband's takes the temp of what he's pointing at. I wonder if it could be *some* other kind of scanning device looking for *something*.. is there anything like that that could seek out scent, or (old) blood, human remains, anything?

(edited to correct typo)

Does anyone know what this gadget is? Something to test soil?
Interesting that dogs are present in this search?

I wonder if any type of search warrant(s) have been obtained for the 3km search area? Otherwise, can they really go into peoples' yards and look at their patio stones and wood piles and such??
