When I went to court my solicitor & barrister went over everything with me to make sure there were no discrepancies. That’s their job.

Surely PS’s lawyers didn’t send him out without reading over what his inititial statements were & tell him to focus.

I imagine his lawyer would be very frustrated with him at the moment!

Craddock asked “did you hear the children all of that time?”. “I remember hearing the kids...I’m pretty sure Heather was there because I think I said it’s good to hear the kids playing,” he told the court. He can’t remember how long he heard them for.

@10Daily

This sounds a bit contrived to me if that’s the right word. He doesn’t remember a lot but remembers a positive comment he made to his wife . But couldn’t he not remember if she was sitting with him. So fishy IMO. Also want to add he has never used Williams name

Lawyer: where do you live?
PS: Dunno. I can’t remember.

And then a bit later he couldn't hear them. And couldn't hear people calling for William.

I wonder how well known to each other him, BS, TJ, KL etc all are? And maybe throw a couple of others into the mix too. It seems that there have been lots of actions and interactions between their extended families and friendship circles, personal relationships etc. I don't have Sm so can't try to unravel it from there.

I think those Sm connections are long gone IMO

Really dont get a good feeling whenever luggage or suitcases are mentioned these days :(

I’m sorry I get a touch harsh at times.

Well that is very interesting. But lets stay within TOS and not discuss SM, particularly at this crucial time.

Spedding’s lawyer is now questioning him. He asked if he told police he was at a school assembly on the 12th of Sept, 2014. He said he doesn’t remember if the assembly where he saw Spedding was on that day. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

There was another school assembly earlier that year when GW child received an award. Could have been that day he saw BS. Or as someone said maybe the same children keep receiving awards..

Could ps be the neighbourhood busy body who knows everyone on the street and everyone's vehicles, and comings and goings, like he owns the street, did he watch ff arrive that night and by being so nosey did he witness something that morning and that's why gj has been trying to get him to talk?
If he took william when would he do it? Before or straight after his wife left, if w was noticed missing between 10-10.30 ps wife was still there and then the neighbour was knocking on his door just after hs left, so did he hide him in the house with the radio blaring and people banging on his door, then answer it and go straight to fgms house leaving w in his house?
He might be guilty of this and seems suss with his changing stories etc but logistically when would he do it?

Maybe at 1010 after call to hospital. Detective Beaucroft estimates William went missing between 10 and 1015

Sounds to me that they might be questioning if his wife was even there (at all). If she perhaps was elsewhere, or left super early that day.

Savage tells detectives in the video he knew his wife was home when he arrived home from his walk because the front door was open. He tells them he didn’t see or hear anyone on the street. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

The detectives ask Mr Savage to sit on his verandah in the spot he would’ve had his breakfast that morning, overlooking Benaroon Drive. “Can you remember if Heather was our here with you that morning?” The detective asked. He replied he can’t remember. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Mr Savage told detectives he thought Heather was on the phone that morning, but detectives told him phone records don’t include a phone call made by her form any of their phones. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

I think I’m more confused now, than when inquest began.
Are we allowed a vote on who our #1 POI is now.
I cant separate BS and RD at this stage for #1.
I’d love to know more of the woman living in caravan, whether she could be the driver of car where guy claimed to see child in Spiderman suit.
I cant see PS being guilty of murder, at worst he could be keeping a secret.

  • #115
Yes I agree, all so much more possible if hs wasn't home that morning, otherwise he would have to have w hidden and quiet until she went out, and it would make more sense with the radio blaring and him not answering the door scenario etc
She was his only alibi
I hope all these neighbour's were interviewed those first few days and not months or years later

So was the one million dollars meant to elicit a confession from Msr Savage?

Is he the sneaky character they speak of who acted on the long hidden desires?

And remember the profiler Sarah Yule said the person most likely either lived, worked or was visiting the street.

Interestingly he raised 3 children - and has 11 grandchildren according to his wife’s death notice.

IMO

This actually makes sense.

Mr Savage said he “had no idea” the missing toddler was wearing a Spider-Man suit when he searched for him in bushland near his home, but he thought William might have got lost up in the scrub.

In a video recreation of his 30 to 45-minute search through scrub and parts of the Kendall State Forest, the pensioner answered multiple details about his trip on that day.

Mr Savage said he was listening for sounds of the missing boy and didn’t call out for William because “I thought if I start yelling out I am not going to hear him yelling out”.

Asked by Counsel Assisting Gerard Craddock why he took off searching through bush when everyone else was searching down the street, Mr Savage said: “I thought he might have possibly come through down the bottom and got lost.”

Mr Craddock: “[It would have been] impossible for a three-year-old to get through there?”

Mr Savage: ‘You say that when you haven’t been there … but I thought someone should go through in that direction”.

I’m trying to access the video of ACA confronting PS when he was first mentioned in the media. They asked him about BS. He was very aggressive . Can anyone find a link ?

BBM.

That's exactly the impression that I have. I don't think he took William, but I suspect he saw what happened.

For an elderly couple living in a quiet cul-de-sac in a country town, to have kids from Sydney visiting the neighbour (FGM) would have been a huge deal.

William hadn't been there long before he disappeared. It was his first morning at FGM's house. The kids were running around yelling in the morning. It would've been totally out of the ordinary for PS to hear those new sounds in the morning. He would've been watching and listening to them for sure.
