Also, the DM article says 'homes". Does that mean X number of devices at home #1 then X number of devices at home #2? Total for both homes being a certain amount of devices. If they had moved residences during that period.
Yes agree, this is quite possible, IMO, especially when you add in the Auction Bid situation, which involved home #1 .

Didn’t we query something before about surveillance both houses??? I only seem to have a vague recollection about something, but something is ringing a bell ???

I don’t think 8 cameras is that many if it’s a large house, especially if split over 2 homes, as you suggest SA …

I was wondering what the Surveilance ACT included so thanks for that…..

I’m not sure any of us would like to covertly surveiled …. IMO

“It’s like something has come from the sky, ... Like he was plucked out of thin air."
Every time I think of William disappearing into thin air, my mind always goes to “spontaneous combustion”….. even though I don’t believe in such things ..
And I have to remind myself he cannot “just disappear” ..

Wondering if the FGM did before she passed away. The timeline would fit.

I still don't think she was involved but it's an interesting theory.

IMO.

What about the sister that FM picked up from the airport?

I was thinking that too. Do you or anyone in here know it FM went with FF on that trip or was FM alone?

For example, the DM has been publishing a whole different "narrative" about this case.

I agree. They're posting a different narrative to the insight/ foster parent narrative. IMO

I don't think the children's services have a lot of options. There is an extreme shortage of foster carers. You may have seen fairly recent PSAs on our SA TV, looking for foster carers.

As they were still approved to be foster carers, they would have been sought to take on another child.

At the moment (and for years) pretty much all of our states are warehousing older children in group homes and motels. And trying to find spaces for the younger ones.

Not enough people want to share their homes with, and take on the responsibility of, a traumatised child.

imo

Yes I saw that. It's very, very sad. I wish more people would consider fostering. Too many people give lip service but not actually willing to help. I guess this problem is only going to get worse as everyone my age (millennials) are too busy trying to keep a roof over their head. Many aren't having kids.

I seem to recall the rules for fostering were very strict... seems like they basically only accepted married couples 35+ who already have their own kids. I see they've loosened a lot of those requirements now.

Great post Shadow :)

Yep I just roll my eyes :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: at all the DM BREAKING news etc ( they even called the FP's Adoptive parents last week ).....

I'm missing their daily breaking news , maybe the "source / 's" has / have run out of stories to tell or re hash again & again ...no articles today ??:)

I have the same fears when & if the inquest starts up again, I've been on the end of abuse at the inquest, "Bogans" living up to their self titled name???

I can absolutely say that the Bio dad was nothing but respectful at the inquest, he's clearly a broken man with a circus around him ....it seems IMO

As for Lindsay, my heart just breaks for her :(

I wish the Coroners court had cameras so everyone can watch what goes on ( in & out of court ;) )
BBM

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you at the inquest, can you tell us how that happened or came about? I had no such experiences nor did I hear of any from anyone I spoke with.

If they had 8 cameras, why wasn't the alleged assault played at the crime commission?? Surely they would have caught it on camera IMO

One would think so, unless the alleged deed took place out of view of cameras (or maybe the captured vision isn't good enough).

Then again, we don't get told much about what happens during these proceedings, so who knows what went on?

I'm surprised they were allowed to keep their other Foster child (who they're now accused of ongoing pattern of violence against), let alone get another one after a foster child went missing on their watch. IMO.
It is so weird when we look back now. You don’t watch a kid who goes missing and then they give you another one. Sounds really bad I know.

Just calling it how it is.

Things that make you go hmmmm....

I wonder when the foster mother told the foster father about her little drivesy. And was she ever going to tell him?

What, if anything, does he know or suspect?

Coming out of the bathroom crying seems premature. Wouldn't must people be holding out great hope at that point that he'd been found just around the next bramble? Wandered to a neighbors'? Seems a bit early in the narrative to begin grieving with finality....

Was he informed in private and a pact was made to never, ever speak of it again?

This has always sat with me. The children were drawing pictures to take to the gravesite. (Just how many pictures did the foster daughter churn out? And Wm? Might she have been at it for a very, very, very long time?) With the search for Wm, the graveside trip was shuttered.

Did the foster mother at some point take the trip to Kendall to "visit the gravesite" herself? A convenient "errand" to insist on going solo -- "oh, no, I just want to sit there by myself and talk to papa." In the days or weeks following his disappearance, who would think it odd if she claimed she needed some closure, graveside? Perfect opportunity to move a body. Bundled up in a yard tarp, it wouldn't be impossible to do....

So... if she ever said she was going to the cemetery, I'd like to know if she did. And if she didn't, where did she go?

IMO , there are two thoughts regarding Foster Father coming out of the Bathroom seem to be crying.
I repect people theories yes it is strange and may did he know what happened to William.
IMO
September is Spring, people can get Hayfever even I when I visit other places, my medication is tablets and cream but my Understanding Partner takes Nasel Spray, he coughs, sputters even gages, comes out with red crying eyes. Even when gardening he eyes get red and watery due to Pollen. I get breathy/huskey and people think I doing a bad Munroe performance .
The other is taking a leaf from my past with my first foster family(Who I am still very close altough lived distance away) I went missing briefly as a eight year old. I wandered off on the Farm, misplaced my steps as I was swooped by a Magpie,(Nesting Time) tried to get back before sunset I did not I paniced could not moved was found sitting in the dark, years later foster family told me how my Foster Father who is to this day is a quiet calm spoken stoic man who was shaken and so was my foster Mother even within an hour I went missing he had concerns I could been bitten by a snake, fallen down some where etc. I had never wander off before always stayed close to the farm house. He said years later he dreaded having to make the Phone call to my Welfare Officer to report I was missing although I was found few hour later, he and my foster mother still were questioned by Child Services about what happened.
Even if William had been found, (in my heart I wished it happened) the Foster Family would been interveiwed about the incident. There would been possible the children taken away briefly or more.

AMS said FM was also distraught. I think it is probably quite normal to feel terror and angst when your child cannot be found close by. When the child you thought didn't wander perhaps did this time.

"You could tell she was very distressed when she first came to us,” neighbour Anne-Maree Sharpley told The Sunday Telegraph.
“I just remember saying ‘Don’t worry, we’ll find him,’ and that has stuck with me because obviously they didn’t find him."
She added that she waited with the mum as she called police.

What about the sister that FM picked up from the airport?

FGM and sister went to the airport with FM to pick up FGM's other daughter.
I am not sure that was an occasion for a private conversation, if that is what you mean.

SA, looking at some details from the Inquest (On your link) has it been established when (e.g. around what time) the bike riding occurred (when William's sister asked about who's car it was that pulled in next door?

IIRC the bike riding and car that turned around was about 9am. Not long after FD left.

Maybe FD took the bikes out of their vehicle before he left for the GoTo meeting and the kids wanted to ride them pretty much right away? After getting their helmets on, etc.

Thank you ... so the FD and that car could have passed each while they were driving along. MOO

Probably not. imo
The FD had left about 10 mins prior.

Fair enough.
In considering :
“William’s foster father had left the home at 9.30am to drive out of the town to find better mobile reception for a Skype call and to fill a script at a chemist – actions which have been verified by police.”
William Tyrrell: how new evidence revived the case and triggered a fresh search effort

I don't think it has ever been suggested, but it could possibly be the case that the FF returned to Benaroon Drive just after the time of around just before 9am and then left again at 9.30am (The time that Police have verified took place).

I think the 9:30am is wrong. He was on his GoTo meeting in Lakewood from 9:17am for 39 mins (ending at 9:56am).

Can't be in two places at the same time.
