Australia Australia - William Tyrrell Disappeared While Playing in Yard - Kendall (NSW) #79

yes, but who would these other nine people be who attested she was inside making tea?

Maybe the first officers on the scene? Plus siblings. Someone told the media, way back when.

This may even have been why Mr Craddock was asking so much about the tea, in an earlier tranche. Trying to work out how long she was inside, and if William went missing when FGM was watching the kids and FM was inside.

In early articles, I think it was also said that sister was inside. Because we were wondering if FM helped sister in the bathroom.

I also remember someone asking FM (somewhere along the way - maybe a Lia Harris podcast episode?) if FGM blamed herself, and FM said she hoped not.

imo

Yes, at the Inquest yesterday, in the video, the FFM was told there were 9 people who stated that she had told them she was making tea, and it was stated that family members were among those 9.

I don't think this is the truck driver witness everyone was expecting. This is a different truck driver to the one that the FM apparently saw when she was driving with her head out the window. I'm guessing there are a lot of disappointed spectators at the inquest today. No posing for cameras with 'v signs' today, I guess.
It is the same truck driver Wexford. Peter spoke to Ray Hadley 2 days after W went missing to report a suspicious car he saw that morning both in Kew and then in Kendall. I believe he called in to report one thing and unknowingly at the time was also a witness to the fm drive. The car and woman he spoke of I also feel could have been the postie as she was described in earlier feeds as a large blonde woman, she was wearing black shorts and a black top and she had finished her morning deliveries earlier than usual, around 9:30/10am ( if you look up the post office in Kendall you will see their uniforms are black bottoms and black top). So if Peter did drive along Batar Creek Rd and Cobb and Co then it is absolutely one and the same person. Peter also stated he left Kendal around 11:30am and I’m guessing it would have taken some time to load the excavator onto/into the back of his semi trailer which means he saw the fm in her mothers car prior to picking up the machinery and not after, as he said he left the shops in Kendall just after 10am to pick up the excavator. I have no doubt this Peter is the same Peter who called in to speak with Ray on the 16th September 2014. Had Peter the truck driver been aware of what the fm looked like this would be a completely different conversation.

Episode 5

Interesting that the Coroner also used Facebook posts to determine what was happening when, in that 9:37am to 11:06am timeline.

I’m listening to it now and l just thought “great episode Dan, really explained everything well”. Then just saw your post

It wasn’t FM though. It’s been confirmed the car was not FGMs car and the woman does not match FMs description.

But Peter didn't see the FM in the FGM's car . Nothing about seeing anyone driving or stopped & pulled over on Batar Creek Rd

His truck was a Kenworth.
He saw a black or burgandy or dark red series 5 BMW 84/85 model , with maybe a ladder on top ( initially told police it had a ladder than couldn't remember, so was taken to his statement, than insinuated that the detectives might not have taken his statement down correctly & said " Weather the car had a ladder or not is not relevant , I don't see the releavance" & " Let's go with the fact that it is black & had a ladder on the roof"
He also added at some point " We are supposed to trust our Detectives aren't we?"

Following the BMW was a dark grey dual cab ute with a ladder on top!

These cars were coming towards him on Batar Creek Rd. - which he described as a " 1960's goat track"

He had never been to Kendall before
His truck was a Kenworth.
He arrived in Kew @ 9am, waited for Michelle ( who he picking the excavator up of on Cob & Co Rd
He was in Kew waiting approx 30 mins - he saw the woman here.
He than moved his truk to Kendall where he parked in the area in front of the op- shop - the woman he saw in Kew than turned up again in Kendall & parked in front of him.
The woman was in a jet black camry- desribed her as black outfit, maybe lycra, 5 foot - maybe less, blonde hair & excess weight.
When Michelle arrived he followed her to Batar Creek Rd & parked truck & went with Michelle to Cob & Co Rd property to assess the access. Access was ok & he went & loaded excavator & had his way out of Kendall

When he turned Lt out of Cob & Co Rd onto Batar Creek Rd he saw the BMW follwed by the ute. He said they didn't come out of Benaroon Drive , but couldn't explain why he thought that ( the coroner asked him that question) He just said because they were on the road ( he also had no clue about any of the names of roads - except Cob & Co )

He was caught on CCTV from the Kendall Tennis club arriving in Kendall at 9.27am ( actual time on CCTV was 9:13 as it was 14mins slow ) & shows him driving off @ 10am ( 9:47 on CCTV )
He passed another truck ( White Western Star with blue curtains & sripping? ) when he turned of Batar Creek Rd when he was leaving Kendall ( I assume this was Laurel or Albert St)

His was truck with the excavator was seen on CCTV @ the tennis club leaving Kendall at 10:53 ( actual CCTV time 10:39 as 14 mins slow )

He was going about 30 - 40ks/hr " Creeping out of the place " & " It's a back street for god's sake"

I'm not sure why he was called ,maybe because he says saw another semi heading to Batar Creek Rd?? Surely the police have identified this truck also??

He was an interesting witness, dogs barking in background, birds chirping, him telling the dog to shut up .

But sadly , the evidence he gave was very underwhelming, as we have been led to believe, for years, that he was going to say he saw the FFC in the FGM's car.

The court room was absolutely packed with journos

Edited for typos

I am listening too. Dan says Mr Craddock is very lawyerly. He is not interested in Laidlaw's opinions. He only deals in facts.

The police are also not saying it was fm either. Though l have seen some desperate comments saying maybe she was wearing a wig and a fat suit! The car description also doesn’t match but maybe she stole a car?

Wow the police pushing to have a wild animal expert even though coroner said no. Which makes no sense because this is in reference to William being taken by a fox. If they are so certain it was FM why are the wanting this theory explored? Also has a fox ever taken a child?? They requested again that fm takes the stand, coroner said she already denied this but their lawyer said well we will be asking again.

They want the animal expert , so they they can say WT might have been placed there, but taken by an animal, explaining why they found nothing at all! IMO

I don't think the Coroner will re-call the FFC...............IMO

Actually DrSleuth the tennis club cctv time difference was 9min not 14min. As far as we know Peter is the only truck driver who has come forward with information that fits the timeline from that morning. So it seems he was the only truck driver that was on Batar Creek Rd at the time police suspect fm took that drive. Not only was Peter on Batar Creek Rd around 10am he was also on Cobb n Co Rd around the same time, which is where police suspect fm hid Ws body. I believe the relevance of his statement has to do with “time” not so much Whether or not he saw the fm or the fgm car, as perhaps he didn’t see the importance of that information at the time he first gave a statement to police and after 10yrs can’t remember it. IMO Peter is the truck driver that fm mentions in her walkthrough and the time fm took that drive was sometime closer to 10am

Dan said that two different dogs searched that Cobb & Co Road area, the day after William went missing. That they heard the evidence and saw maps at the inquest this week. This was when William's scent would have been fresh - if he was there.

Dan could only see one of the maps from where he was sitting. He couldn't see the other one. So he clarified that at least one dog searched the area, from what he could see.

He sounds frustrated that none of the media has reported about that. Nor have the police enlightened the public.

(from today's podcast episode)

imo

The evidence in court, was 14mins slow & they gave both times each time it was mentioned.

The time on the CCTV & the real / corrected time.

He said he didn't see any others cars

At this point, it could be that the police are desperately trying to avoid another massive lawsuit.

I would recommend Peter O'Brien.

I agree he's very good & seems a nice person. He always was pushing for the police handling to be investigated & wanted to call all of SFR basically , way back.........

My point still stands DrSleuth. Peter is the only truck driver who has come forward with information that fits the time and place of Ws disappearance. Perhaps if he was initially questioned about or shown pictures of the fm and the fgm car it would have jogged his memory but if it seems Peter wasnt called to give evidence until now, 10yrs after the fact. As I stated previously I am of the opinion that Peter the truck driver who called in to speak with Ray Hadley 2 DAYS after W disappeared is the same Peter the truck driver who fm mentions in her walkthrough (fm doesn’t mention her drive until 6 days later in her and by that time the fp were kept informed of information that was coming through to police and crime stoppers) so what’s to say fm suddenly decides to mention the truck driver knowing a truck driver had already called into CS with info.
IMO even if Peter doesn’t remember seeing fm in fgm car doesn’t mean his timeline doesn’t fit the timeline of fm drive which I believe it does.
IMO Fm drive was sometime closer to 10am even a little earlier and not the 10:40am time given at the inquest

It sounds as if the Coroner has more evidence of what the FM was doing than we are aware of. I think they are probably better placed to assess the times. And Mr Craddock is only going by facts.

Facebook activity is involved. Maybe FM took those 9:37-ish photos and posted some to her siblings or friends. We don't know where the Facebook information comes into it. Only that it is in that timeline after 9:37am.

imo
