Many people think they are stopping at Raymond Terrace but it is actually Heatherbrae, and it is one of the frequented stops on the Pacific Highway headed north in NSW.

OK, but there was also an earlier McDonalds stop at Wyong, to stretch their legs and use the toilets. They were on the road for about 5 hours starting from when the kids were picked up.

Yes, and there's a McDonalds there too whose inside toilets they used according to one of FFC's statements--IMO.

Raina, fair point about the use of the two place names that turned out to refer to the same McDonalds. I remember now looking them up and seeing they were so close together, realizing the same restaurant was indicated, but also that there was another McDonalds that was getting mentioned here and there. The place names by themselves meant nothing to me, NSW is not my territory, and it was confusing.

The two place names do not refer to the same McDonalds at all. There are two McDonalds, one at Heatherbrae and another one approx 10 mins further north, at Raymond Terrace. What I was querying was a supposedly approved mainstream source printing such an outright falsehood. After a source such as that publishes it, it then becomes accepted narrative, on here as well as on other pages. And causes confusion, as you pointed out.

In addition to my previous post ... Likewise, if they called in to McDonalds at Raymond Terrace they would have been recorded on CCTV cameras there.

The Coroner released only CCTV photos of the family recorded at the Heatherbrae McDonalds; which would have been the last McDonalds visit that we have been told about.

....... JMO - Whether there have been any other stops that the FMC did not supply to Strikeforce remains unknown.

McDonalds Raymond Terrace...I have seen this reported before, but I always thought they stopped at Heatherbrae, not Raymond Terrace? Does anyone know if this is actually correct?

The washing machine... I think this is significant in some way. It seems the FGM did not tell her daughter about the washing machine until she arrived. Why? Surely she would have told her so they could plan to bring more clothes etc for the children? Also she told her the parts had been ordered two weeks ago, when actually it was only a few days prior? Again why say that? I have always thought she was developing dementia, there are tell tale signs in the walk through as well.
But what if there is another more sinister reason?

I can understand why she might say she ordered the parts weeks ago......I'm in my 70's now, and my mind's not as sharp as it once was....My hubby and I are both less than organised compared to our younger years----

When talking to our kids we do sometimes try to cover up some of our mental gaffes---it's like we are recreating their teen years, but in reverse. Now WE are making excuses, telling white lies to make us look less irresponsible, just like they did at 16, to cover their mistakes.

Perhaps FGM didn't want to admit she had just called 2 days earlier, so she said it was much earlier than that ? I don't think it was for sinister reasons, just trying to avoid looking irresponsible or old and forgetful?

ABC reported as Heatherbrae from the inquest when the Coroner released the footage and Police described it as Heatherbrae. It certainly looks like Heatherbrae to me. But I am not familiar with the others, maybe they all look alike.
Regardless, Heatherbrae would be the logical stop, why would they drive 10 minutes off their route to visit Raymond Terrace?

BBM. FGM didn't appear at the inquest and she didn't undergo crime commission interrogation. But she was "officially interviewed" as I would understand those words.

If even the restaurant, they stopped at, cannot be identified and is incorrectly named, what can one expect from all their other statements?
Something seems wrong with the whole story and/or timeline, and we really need to find out, what it is after so many years.
