Not having seen the program . . . was the footage of BM a re-broadcast of the interview we saw years ago? Or did it look like parts of the same interview which had been taken out, not broadcast? Or something else?
the newer footage showed her strolling through and sitting in a park, play area, but not speaking, plus the older sad interview where she cries, with the deleted at the time bits about william not dressed appropriately for the weather and his cognitive abilities deterioating and his bruises and cuts etc, how she had contacted authorities about his health and not happy with the care he was receiving

If the Panel members on the 7 Spotlight program (on this recent Sunday night), even if they were privy to more knowledge of details, certainly must have been careful not to reveal any of the more recently briefed 'evidence'.

You think they’d get the spelling right?

Look in the 2nd paragraph of the letter from the Lawyer .... misspelt by her too!
Yet spelt correctly at the top of the letter .. just sloppiness I guess, I remember early on there was a lot of confusion about the spelling, here too.

Charlie Bezzina on Sunrise this morning:

"The head of the Task Force has come out and said: You know what we're going to put charges in against the foster mother ..."

Apart from the awkwardness of his wording, I don't think that anyone in the NSW Police force has 'come out' and said that. AFAIK, all we have so far is unsubstantiated media reports.

"... all the things that have been said about the investigation, it may require a Royal Commission to get to the bottom of it."

Royal Commissions don't come easy. They have the potential to blow up in the government's face. IMO, let's first see what the Coroner has to say about the police effort.

In this unmissable special television event produced by TV Blackbox co-owner Robert McKnight, reporter Liam Bartlett will be accompanied by a panel of eminent crime experts.

Mark Morri, News Corp’s most senior crime reporter who first broke the news on the investigation into the foster mother; accomplished homicide detective Charlie Bezzina; and investigative author Caroline Overington, will together weave through the complex maze of this baffling case.
I remember a similar program was done just prior to GL being arrested for the Russell Hill and Carol Clay disappearance/murders .

Hopefully this show will be followed shortly afterwards with an arrest!

Here is praying that we get justice for William.

Charlie Bezzina on Sunrise this morning:

Wow, Charlie Bezzina has obviously not been following the case then from the beginning. No leaks under GJ's command?!?!? Oh! I just spotted a pink cow floating past in the sky! MOO
Under GJ there were continual leaks about BS, PB, PS, bio GM's string of friends, TJ etc, and a huge harnessing of the media to get across whatever GJ wanted to about the investigation...... the level of cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy is mind blowing at times...

Honestly IMO I feel it has been years of demonising the bio parents and it's only a recent turn on the Fosters.
And I'm not saying how someone should act, just theirs appears to be a lot more actual emotion coming from the bio mum IMO. Bio mum's one sentence of "please don't hurt him" or words to that effect, I can't remember exactly elicited actually tears from me. I can't say the same to anything that has ever left the foster mum mouth
Bio mum's one sentence of "please don't hurt him"

Gets me deep too ..

Jellies my heart.... seeing her scared... confused.... worry FOR HIM.

Right or wrong or how they all got into this moment.
Bio mums concern for William is primal and her grief is gutwrenching.

So all those things might just be unfortunate. Kids do bruise from play / they sometimes shrug off their warm clothes /and get stuffy noses for sure! / etc.... IMO, it would depend on how often this happened, severity of the bruises, etc

The loss of "motor skills" is something else. Not something someone would necessarily come up with if they were just complaining about the fostering situation.

Loss of motor skills would relate to a more constant effect or conditions?

Quite a particular thing for the bio mum to pick up!

Really boggles my mind that this interview was suppressed for this long.

BUT it also annoys me it was shown today. At this stage the DPP is the one you want to convince. At this late stage, stop showing new things to the general public! It's not us you need to convince!
It wasn't supressed.
It has been aired before.
Interview with Mel Doyle.
Maybe some snips edited out? we are seeing but overall a rehash of a very moving interview.
One of Mels best.

It was interesting that Charlie Bezzina - a retired detective of 38 years, a homicide squad detective for 17 years, a recipient of the National Police Service Medal, the Victoria Police Service Medal, Three Commendations for outstanding work, the Blue Ribbon Medal ....... had no input about "new evidence must have brought this new line of investigation", no input about "the police must have something to have submitted a brief to the DPP", thinks Jubes' charges were a sham, and thinks the case likely will never be solved.

He was definitely the one with the most Homicide experience on the panel.

Link provided to show Charlie Bezzina's background
I felt he clearly bias and Jubes all the way.

so obviously he sits with supporting the preconception of Jubes now conceded off base investigation.

Humble pie isn't on any of these 'retired' good ol boys menu.

i found co annoying, she seemed to predominate, i would have liked to hear more from the other two,
also seeing current footage of bio mother but old footage of her years ago interview,
wondering why they didnt do a current interview with her?
maybe she declined, its not going to bring her little boy home
yes CO enjoyed taking us into the fairy garden to look at the rainbows and the butterflies........

Charlie Bezzina may well have lots of experience and a few medals.

But the reason he had nothing to say about possible "new evidence" is because he's retired and in no position to know anything extra.

Sure, he's not on the sidelines barking demands at the police like Gary Jubelin.

But his relative silence doesn't mean he knows what's in the DPP brief.
Not SURE.
I felt he was a tad passive aggressive and cynical toward NSW LE.
But it could just be his clear distaste and 'not so passive' aggression toward the guy from the telegraph lol

I suspect CB and Jubes are likely drinkin buddies.
But thats just personal opinion from what I make of it.

i didnt like cb inferring williams bio mother was possibly "bitter" when she raised concerns about williams health, they were legitimate concerns, another biased towards the foster family interview
