If she had the accident, drove back in the direction of her apartment, and called a cab to meet near her apartment, then why in the heck did they search the water? The water is closer to where she had the accident and is a good ways from where her car and last known location was. Do they think she walked to the water and fell in? The timeline doesn't add up for something like that to happen.

Personally, I don't think she is in the water. It's hot there, and the warmer the water, the less likely she would stay submerged. I would be looking into the cab driver, as well as confiscating security cameras in the area to see if any suspicious cars drove by. I would also try to correspond any suspicious cars in Adrienne's area with video footage of cars in the area where the body was dumped.
I'm wondering if that movie featuring Tempe Town Lake (Lakeside Killers?) had anything to do with it....I know it sounds silly for LE to base a search on a movie, lol, but I remember reading comments under msm articles mentioning this location as a viable place to search. Also, her bg picture on fb had a photo of this location. I also thought I read other people had been found close to this area in the past, but I could be wrong...

I know her phone records don't reflect this, but could a tow truck driver somehow fit into this equation?

Another thing, re: the possibility that she fled and is hiding in order to avoid an alcohol related charge, I don;t think this would be the case bc she would know it would be hard for LE to prove the level of her alcohol consumption the next day...yes, she was out drinking, but they couldn't ticket her for this particular charge after the fact...I also think she would have contacted her father on father's day (this is based on her father's comment that he knew something was wrong when she didn't call him on Father's Day "Adrienne, a student at Gateway Community College who was planning to attend Northern Arizona University, was very close to her father." From this link: http://www.azcentral.com/community/tempe/articles/20130624missing-tempe-woman-reward.html).

Also, if her cellphone died, could she have maybe encountered someone with ill intentions and asked them if she could use their phone?

Do we know if K-9s were ever deployed and where her scent was last picked up?

I'm thinking that LE is currently reviewing any and all possible cameras that might have captured her. Sometimes it takes time to sift through this.

Also, that troll comment was deleted...is there any way to retrieve this?

A witness saw Adrienne’s car hit a median at Ash and Rio Salado Parkway and called police at 3:44 a.m. Police later found her car key and her wallet in her bedroom.

OK. So this means that Adrienne evidently made it back to her apartment after the accident and then set out again. Her last communication with her boyfriend was at 4:17 or shortly thereafter with a text saying she was on her way. There is a gap of approximately 40 minutes between the time she contacted him and the time she contacted the cab at 5:05 and her phone going dead at 5:07. This leaves a few possibilities:

1. Her boyfriend came and picked her up. 40 minutes is plenty of time for him to do this. He possibly did something to her and then called the cab to cover his tracks.

2. A stranger got her immediately after she called the cab. I mean, like, immediately after. Within 2 minutes. I'm less and less sure how a stranger could have done this. Unless, of course, her phone battery died. It could have died, but how likely in a two minute span?

3. The cab driver picked her up and did something to her. I don't really understand her calling the cab if her wallet was at the apartment, but I suppose she could have had cash on her elsewhere. Or, she discovered on the way that she didn't have cash and he expected payment in some 'other' way to which she rebuffed him.

From this link:

"Rick Salinas found Adrienne’s car at about 2 p.m. on June 15, with two flat tires, only two blocks from her Tempe apartment. He reported her missing that afternoon.

Police described the case as follows:

Adrienne’s boyfriend drove her to his home in Scottsdale, where they continued to argue. He drove her home to Tempe, but they continued to argue and she jumped out of his car a couple blocks away from her apartment.

Adrienne told her roommates at 3 a.m. that she was going to drive back to her boyfriend’s apartment and packed a change of clothes in a large purse.

Hmmm. Now that we know she made it back to the apartment and left her wallet there, it makes no sense to me. Why would she pack a bag and take it with her but leave her wallet and keys behind? I am sure that her apartment keys and car keys were in the same keychain.

Yep. That 40 minute gap between the last contact with BF and the cab call makes no sense. What was she doing during those 40 minutes? Why not have the cab come to your apartment to pick you up? That's what I do when I need a cab. I don't walk to a convenience store.

Fishy.

Thanks for laying this out in such a methodical format. It was really helpful to me!

In regards to #2, she may have realized that she only had a little phone battery left (got the "10% battery remaining" message if she was using an iPhone), and she decided to call the cab and arrange a meeting spot before her phone died.

Ok, my dentist friend has agreed to review the photo. Will be interesting to hear what he says. Will post as soon as I hear back from him.

I also just talked to a chiropractor. He pretty much said everything about rickets that Tonto already said.

<edit: ooops, sorry, wrong thread>

If she made it back to her apartment, why wouldn't she have the cab pick her up from there?

You're welcome. If the stars aligned perfectly and her phone died two minutes after her call, then a 4th possibility arises:

Someone abducted her between the time of her call and the cab's arrival. I would want to know when the cab arrived at the store to pick her up so that we would know the time gap. Most active cab companies can be anywhere in the city in 10-15 minutes.

Again, I'm just not sure about the cab or the cab call. Why would she leave her apartment to meet a cab at a convenience store blocks away? It's safer - and the usual play - to be picked up at home.

I wonder if she really left the appartment the second time?

a couple other thoughts here..

maybe she went back to her apartment, was still pretty shaken up, so wasn't thinking straight. left her apartment, maybe she wanted something from AMPM, or needed to go back to her car to get something. maybe she thought her phone charger could be in the car, or she needed the car charger to charge her phone, so she went to get it.. knowing her phone was about to die. maybe she got back to the car and realized she had forgotten her keys and wallet, so she headed back to the apartment, rather than heading to AMPM. someone could have picked her up during either one of those trips, if they even took place.

however, knowing that she went back to her apartment has me doubting that she was the one who called the taxi. i just don't see why she'd have it pick her up there instead of her apartment (like others have mentioned). i'm a little hesitant to question whether or not it could have been the BF since LE has said he's been cleared (was that the word they used?). but the argument has me wondering. how long have they been together? did they argue often? wth were they arguing about?

do we know if she was a cigarette smoker? maybe when she went back to her apartment she took a second and went outside to smoke and someone else, possibly someone she knew, saw her and took her or whatever and that's why she didn't have her keys or wallet? but then again, what about the bag with her clothes? did they find that at her apartment too? was she carrying 2 bags? one to hold her wallet, etc?

not liking that she didn't have her wallet. does that mean she didn't have any cash? if she's been gone this long and doesn't have her keys, her wallet, or a charged phone, or any contact with her family, i'm expecting a bad outcome :( but there's always the hope that someone just has her and is holding her. i pray that this is the case and that she's able to get free or LE can track her down quickly.

I wonder if she really left the appartment the second time?

Or the first time. Cops aren't certain she was driving her car at the time of the accident. They made it a point to say this.

I would be getting a warrant for her apartment, her car, as well as her boyfriend's apartment.
