wow, I knew there had to be more we weren't hearing. She did go back to her apt after whatever happened with her car. And the exact phrase was "car key" - not "keys" or "key ring". Singular for a reason.

And I am strongly leaning toward scenario one. call to the cab company to cover tracks. And they also did not state that Adrienne was the one who called for the cab. Back to BF.

Also, could our unidentified naked friend have been hit by Adrienne's car? That's crazy talk, right? They said no damage to her car aside from the blown out tires.

Could it be possible that Adrienne or the bf possibly knew the Jane Doe?

  • #205
I guess that's why LE are questioning everyone who was at her apartment that night. To see if she ever made it out alive.

  • #206
Yesterday I was really leaning toward a connection to the body found...now I'm not as sure...there seems to possibly be some hinkiness in other areas suddenly standing out more, in light of the most recent msm report describing her wallet at the house, etc, as well as no comment from LE warning the public about a possible connection to the Jane Doe.

I think I've exhausted my brain to its full capacity here. Will wait to see what LE releases, and see what else you guys come up with (unless I have some epiphany, which seems doubtful at this point).

Hoping for the best!

I am watching our news right now - they are doing Adrienne's story, talking to one of her roommates. The party was at Adrienne's and her roommate's home, and included "about 40 people" - the story reported is that the police have identified most of the partygoers. Most.

But what intrigued me is the way the roommates eyes darted as she explained that, during the party, Adrienne and her boyfriend "got into a little argument". Reporter also said that she called a cab... but this could just be lazy reporting since it does not seem that the police have not said that specifically.

OH!!!! And I forgot to say - several of you asked why they checked Tempe Town Lake and I just have to say, they always check the lake. It is right there. I can think of 2 cases of young men missing whose bodies were found in the lake - and neither was necessarily known to be at the lake, or right near the lake. This is a man made joke of a lake (IMO) that is less than 10 years old or so I think. it is cement walled and very narrow. We jokingly call it Fake Lake. They can make it look good in photos with pretty sunsets in the background and the pretty bridge, but it is really not much of a "lake." but they are always searching in there and dragging it.

Her phone records and pings will probably help out in this regard - if they haven't already. I think the reason we aren't hearing much is because they have an idea of how this went down and are just getting their ducks in a row to lean on someone. After all, if we see the incongruence with what little info has been thrown at us, they must have had alarms going off pretty early on. Recall how they made it a point to note that the BF is not a POI or suspect. This could be for legal reasons as to not botch any potential case should they be gathering evidence. Or, he may not be but someone else at the party is.

Also, the dead girl could have been at the party. Probably not, but possible.

I doubt the body found has any connection to Adrienne. It sounds like she had a wild night, kind of like Lauren Spierer or Korte Stouffer and the answer is more likely among those she was with.

Incident map is corrected (thanks to the comment there by mnbv) to show that Adrienne's apartment is on Brown near Hardy.

The more info that comes out (party with 40, boyfriend taking her to Scottsdale then back, supposedly) it looks to me like the truth will be found very close to the circumstances that night.

I agree Tonto, to me it sounds like LE has an idea of what happened, how, and why and are putting things in order, hence the reason we are not getting much more info. I feel like they may have some camera footage from somewhere, possibly near the gas station where she went to meet the cab or somewhere else. I also agree with others that the body found is probably unrelated. I don't know anything about this area, but it seems like a lot of action in a small radius for one night.

So now we know, her car is in accident. She may be driving, she may not be in the car at all. Or she may not be alone in the car when it crashes. The car takes off from the crash scene and rests a few blocks from her apt. According to the new report, she goes back to her apt and leaves her wallet and car key, but still has her overnight bag apparently (LE stated it was not in the car, and didn't see a report of it being in the house) and presumably heads to bf's. Why call for the cab in the other direction??? I'm hoping police know who's voice was on that call to the cab company, either recorded or through interviews of cab company employees. And as others stated, Adrienne was unaccounted for large chunks of time that night. 3 a.m.-3:44 a.m., where was she and what she doing? And with the exception of the witness to the accident, and one other unnamed report of a sighting, from 3:44 on, she is not seen again. That's a large window of unexplained time.

ok, it's still early here, but i'm soooooooo confused now. the party was at her apartment, but earlier there was a report of her being out with her boyfriend at some point and he drove her home and she jumped out? where did they go?

oh, just kidding, he drove her to his home, they continued to argue, so he was taking her back to her apartment, and she "jumped out" of his car. was it really that heated that she'd have to JUMP out of the car??

Me too!

From the above link:

"Police described the case as follows:

Adrienne’s boyfriend drove her to his home in Scottsdale, where they continued to argue. He drove her home to Tempe, but they continued to argue and she jumped out of his car a couple blocks away from her apartment.

Adrienne told her roommates at 3 a.m. that she was going to drive back to her boyfriend’s apartment and packed a change of clothes in a large purse."

i'll admit, when i was young and would get into "arguments" with boyfriends, i'd always want to go back to be with them after the argument ended. i wonder if there were any texts between the two that could indicate that things calmed down? from what it seems like is that the bf was either so mad that he just ignored her texts & calls, or he fell asleep. i can see how she might get all worked up again if she wasn't getting replies and want to go over and try to work it out again. man, i just wish she would have slept it off and tried again the next morning though. actually, i'd probably only feel like this if i felt like the argument was my fault.

Hi Az! Could you kindly point out on this map where this lake is? Thanks!

This means that the murder of Ms. Begay is most likely a separate incident altogether. We can now begin to focus on the party and any timeline/behavior aberrations.
