I've been reading this thread and I am just wondering, do they know that it was positively Adrienne that made the phone call to the cab company? Or sent the text to the boyfriend? Maybe something happened to her when she came back to the apartment to change clothes. She was calling her boyfriend BEFORE she left the apartment the second time? Maybe she was uncomfortable with some of the people there or something. It just seems there were NO confirmed sightings of her after she returned after the accident. So perhaps she never left again? And someone left a cell trail with no intention of meeting the cab or going to the boyfriends......just a thought....probably am way off base, but it was the first thing that struck me since no one seems to have seen her after her wreck.

azpistonsgirl, i was thinking about organizing a 'take back the night' sorta march where we go from mill ave, to rooseveltbrown, by park and to ampm and hold a televised rally.

and i dont mean candle vigils and pacifism specifically, i mean people up in arms about safety for women, basically. big signs, horns and loudspeakers...

that we have a woman dumped out a car, dead. and this young girl, same day. and this town should have a show of action, of reaction.

i think that a visible group marching and drawing attention, would be a good thing. they did it, years past at asu when my neighbor was raped/murdered and other women in the area were being raped/assaulted. asu responded and the campus area is worlds' safer than prior.

it couldnt hurt. im down to organize or at least get the word out, if anyone wants to do something like that. if yr in contact w anyone from the family for a salinas, throw the idea out thar.

cheers

There had to be more to that 911 call that was not released by the media. They just gave us the "enticing part". The details, etc. were snipped. I've called 911 several times (we live in the hood, yay!) and they gather quite a bit of information during those calls. It probably wasn't "newsworthy".

ETA: OR, there was information pertinent somehow to the case that LE didn't want released...

Still not done reading this thread and I hate to post in the meantime, before being done, but if there's so much question about the 911 call then someone should just go to the Scanner forum here and post in the "rewind requests" thread and tell Peachy where and when the call in question came in, so she can go listen to the whole thing and transcribe it for us. Just a suggestion.

I do not know the family - and my concern about violating TOS revolves around not wanting to accuse someone who is not a reported POI or suspect.

I am down with this march idea, goblin. I am ASU alum, and concur with what you have said, and feel the same outrage you feel. But I always say, it is one thing to complain, but much more powerful if you can propose a solution. What would we want to be the result from such a march? What is it that we want? (realistically.)

Goblin and 2Hip and Sand et al - thanks for the exchange of ideas.

I'm off now for the rest of the afternoon. I'm obsessing way too much over this and need to give myself (and all of you) a break. ;)

Cheers everyone! Try to have a great weekend.

This case reminds me of Shannan Gilbert's case.

azpistonsgirl, i would say that the attention brought forth, EVEN if it was grandstanding or ridiculous, would be good. for the community, too. cathartic, even

a great many people in tempe act like its no big thang walkin' round at 4am, that they are invincible to violence. i think that the community should show some solidarity.

ya know why i think it hasn't happened in this case? usually, with every missing persons' case, their is one relative or friend, who has a bit of theatrics in them. and they wont dissapear, and they make it a huge spectacle and if it brings more attention to this, the better.

we dont think she slipped on a curb, somehow fell into a drain and is washed away to the colorado river, do we?

someone most likely was involved in her dissapearance.

my concern, is that the HUGE show of solidarity in her circle of friends, which hasn't happened to my knowledge, is FEAR. the dont talk to cops, tattle, snitches get stiches attitude is in FULL FORCE in the community. i don't know of the actual people in this circle of friends, but my assumption is they are of that mindset

Ok guys I've pinged the exact amount of time it takes to drive from Rio Salado to w brown and Roosevelt, amount of time it takes to walk from w brown and Roosevelt to area of AS apartment, and how long it takes to walk from AS apartment to the AM PM.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372801236.661487.jpg

It would take 1 minute driving the speed limit in a proper working vehicle to drive from rio Salado pkwy to west brown and Roosevelt. If her car was dragging and going under the speed limit, it may have taken her a few minutes longer to get from rio Salado pkwy to west brown and Roosevelt.

7eqe4una.jpg

It is a 5 minute walk from the area AS dropped her car on W brown and Roosevelt to AS apartment complex.

4una9yhe.jpg

It is a 7 minute walk from the area of AS apartment to the AM PM (I changed the ping area from original version to coincide with entire timeline and be more cohesive)

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372801663.958760.jpg

And w 7th street is exactly 1 minute north of the AM PM. (the last call Adrienne had was at 5:05 am with cab telling him she would be to the am pm in 1 minute. If that's true and she was 1 minute away, w 7th and hardy is your best bet for the area she was grabbed.

I do agree that I think someone in a car grabbed her. Sad to say I think they stalked her down west 5th during her 5 minute walk. She may have detoured to the apartment to get off 5th street and away from the person driving on 5th paying a little too much attention to her.

So when she went down hardy, that stalker in the car on 5th street could have followed west and then trailed behind her as she was going S on Hardy, and when she reached Hardy and 7th, they took a hard left and grabbed her mid intersection and threw her in the car heading east on 7th.

IMHO and theory.

holy carpydoodle, did I reach the end??

well no point posting now, surely this thread will be locked and thread #2 will start up momentarily, we're well over 1000 post in here now. I will wait and ponder.

My first course of action in pondering is to throw out 100% of everything any "roommate"' has said and pretend I never heard it.

Just feels right.

That is how I felt when news of Adrienne's disappearance was reported. She is local to us, so we feel a special attachment, I get it now.

Stepping back does help. Self care is very important. Can't help others if we are not in a healthy space ourselves. Rest up, and may new ideas sprout from your rested mind. We will be here. =)

When Jack Culolias went missing after a night of drinking on November 30, 2012 they searched Tempe Town Lake and used SONAR and dogs and all kinds of stuff and decided he wasn't in there despite that one red shoe floating on top of the water. Then, weeks later, up pops Jack.

http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2012/12/body_found_near_tempe_marketpl.php

"A Maricopa County Sheriff's Office helicopter was brought in, as were K-9 units specifically trained to find humans, a robot with sonar that could find objects underwater, and investigators on the ground, but they didn't find any physical clues.

Although it seems strange that the body would be found after what seemed to be a very thorough search, there is a likely answer, albeit a morbid one."

(more at link)

I'm not convinced she isn't in the lake.

I can't stay away. My mind is racing over 100mph on this case. I want to post while thoughts are fresh in my mind.

Okay (taking a different tact now).....

Let's look at the possibility something DID, in fact, happen to Adrienne at the party!

What if, mind you these are only "ifs", after her fight with the boyfriend and she came back to the party, she was so upset she continued drinking and then she had a drug overdose.

Remember I am only pretending here....I don't know anything happened (if it did)....

So maybe only a couple of people, maybe two or three even, knew anything was wrong. And no one wanted to be responsible so they decided to take Adrienne somewhere else and leave her body and hatched up the story that she had left again to go back to her boyfriend's place.

So they put her body in her car. It wouldn't be difficult to get her out as tiny as she was. The party, with all those people crammed into a small apartment, was probably pretty chaotic.

And then as they were driving, intoxicated, they hit the median on Rio Salada. There were two of them in the car (as the 911 caller thought) and so they sped away because they had a body in the car to dispose of. They went to the most remote place they could find that the car would make it to and then they drug her body as far away as possible and covered it up with brush or whatever they could find.

They had her cell phone and to throw off the scent they made 11 phone calls to the boyfriend and called a cab to meet them at the AM/PM. They did this just as a red herring. And it was a girl who did the calling, which is why the cab driver and dispatcher think it was Adrienne. A female voice.

Then, to cast further suspicion away from themselves, they sent one final text to the boyfriend saying she was "coming over".

Then they went back to the party. Because they had the wreck on the way to dispose of the body and they knew if the keys were not found that the area would be searched more quickly and the body found, they took the keys back and put them in her room. They never took her wallet at all. And the story about her packing a large purse was never true. They made it all up.

Has LE thoroughly searched the area where Adrienne's vehicle was abandoned.

Okay....all speculation. Sheer speculation.

All in my very humble and confused (grasping at straws) imagination.

I'm
Getting ready to throw up out of frustration. I cannot explain the spiritual seemingly satanic hindrances I have had to stomp out during this case. From facts not being straight on her missing persons poster, to nearly every significant map I try to post not fully uploading.

I've been trying to reap load those two pics that didn't upload fully. Please bare with me and these hindrances I am trying to stomp/snuff out.

Let's be honest, after a while on WS, I think we all go a little bit crazy!
Well, it's my turn now: THIS CASE IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

The odds of a person going missing without a trace in 1 minute flat have to be a one in a gazillion! IF she was abducted by a random stranger on the street, that man needs to play the Powerball, because he is one amazingly lucky dude! Not only was it a clean break, but the chances of him ever being caught are also going to be one in a gazillion.

I normally have a pretty good idea of what happened in cases. I go with my gut and most of the time it turns out to be spot on. My gut instinct here seems to have been disproved. At least for the time being.....maybe LE has more than they are letting on. If my theory is incorrect, then I have absolutely no idea how this girl went missing so close to her destination.

Good idea! Any one care to take the mission of asking Peachy in the "rewind requests" scanner thread if she can track down the call and transcribe it for us? I would but I gotta run real quick! Just wanted to bump this!

It has been in many media reports that she DID go back to her apartment and change clothes after the accident. They just do not say who saw her.

Here is another news story quoting the police that states she went back to her apartment following the wreck:

Tempe police said around 3:30 a.m., Salinas left her apartment near Hardy and Brown – where a party was underway – to visit her boyfriend in Scottsdale.

Around 3:45 a.m. police said someone saw Salinas' car slam into the median, near Rio Salado and Ash, and then drive off with two flat tires.

She drove for less than a mile to Brown and Roosevelt, where she left her disabled car.

From there, police said Salinas walked about a quarter mile back to her apartment.

They believe she changed her clothes, leaving behind her keys and wallet, before taking off again.

I TOTALLY believe you. While I am a newcomer here I am not a newcomer to media reports. :P

It can't make sense. No one would go to such great lengths, calling/texting boyfriend, calling cab, telling cabbie she was one minute away........
it HAD to be her!

Yeah...you are right. I agree with you. I just had to put this one scenario out there to get it out of my system.

Like you, I find it nearly as preposterous to think that someone just snatched her up so quickly.

I'm the one who thought she might have been so stressed out and overwhelmed by everything she might have taken off to Rocky Point.

No one at all agrees with me so I have given up on that.

Grasping at straws....anything....anything at all....when there is nothing to go on.

Thanks for your reply.

So what did happen? Was she abducted by space aliens? Has anyone called Luke Air Force Base to see if there were sightings?
