Sad to hear that there have been no new developments in Adrienne's case that we know of.
You guys are doing a good job here, though.![]()
last night, from 11pm to about 12 midnight, i rode 5th up west to her apt street to hardy, and then back to ampm and thru that large ampm and various biz strip mall, and criss crossed eastward and a bit west as well on 5th... i must of looked like a homeless guy looking for tin cans in garbage cans.
regardless, there are many strange areas to the west of hardy towards ampm, AND nice apts as well. at midnight time, many many people (a group of 3 young ladies i noted,) and regular residents just out on cell phones (of course,) in the area.
nothing seemed out of the ordinary once again, very normal. brown to hardy is about the most quiet and boring street you can find, its actually one of my favorites as its RARE that trees actually grow high enough to canvas the sky and block it a bit in tempe, az.. some people were out having a pool party and trying to enjoy life w our over 100 degree nights.
i didn't see ANY posters for a salinas. i didnt go into the various apt laundry rooms, but just on poles and such, NOTHING. oh, and i went thru the park too. at midnight, there was a family w two babies hanging out. not exactly fitting the idea of this place being some hellhole, its a mixed use area with many types of individuals using it.
i woke up this morn at 5am to my alarm, as i wanted to gauge how dark it was, outside. it was actually very bright. walked to my circle k for an energy drink, and it was actually bright enough to think it was 8am!! i think that at 5am for a salinas, the biggest threat to her safety (and not knowing if she was being tailed or followed,) is that
1. she got in an accident severe enough to pop 2 tires
2. she is a frail girl from her surgery
3. was drinking (and perhaps other things,) for the night prior plus the emotions of the guyfriend drama, walking from her parked car, dealing w a party at her apt, etc
my thinking is that she might of been quite confused and beclouded, befuddled, cluttered, dazed, DISORIENTED, frustrated, perturbed, rattled, thrown off, unbalanced, troubled, unhinged, unsettled, upset, and worried. (adjectives!!!)
so, she would of been an easy target. its like when a lion hangs back to see which zebra will be the easiest to persue. and to my mind, its very possible that someone followed her from the accident, or where she ditched car, to her house. Like waiting for the young deer to be seperated from the herd. From her house where SOMEONE you hope, would of seen something, i think what happened to her happened outside of that. UNLESS her roommates/friends are that oblivious. and, from thus far, thats fair too as they haven't added much dialogue to this.
we have many questions; and these observations, WELL THEY DONT MEAN ANYTHING! but, i figured i'd share regardless.
cheers ya'll
I'm hoping she is somewhere with amnesia after her accident (this has happened before in other cases). Unfortunately I don't think this is likely.I think chances are strong that she has been met with foul play. Wish there was more I could do to help. Her poor family.

Goblin! You paint such an interesting and vivid visual! Thanks again for venturing out there at weird times and reporting back to us. I felt I was there, reading your post. Seriously, thanks so much! Scary, though, the reference to the lion.![]()
perhaps, less lion, and moor a pack of hyenas, amirite?
Either way sounds scary. But I lean towards the hyenas. I know where you're coming from.
i told this story/event a few posts ago.
my gf lives in mesa, az. not so far from this area and where i live as well.
she sometimes goes running VERY late at night, WHICH SHE DOES NOT DO ANYMORE. she was chased home by 3-4 men from a car who actually jumped out of the car as she ran home to her apt and they chased her thru her apt complex. this happened, twice with different men.
her son, also had a similiar incident where he had to hide behind a store to ditch men who chased him. i won't go into specifics why men chased her son, but all i can is that they mistaked him for woman.
there is a distinct cultural disconnect of a people who have forgotten (or perhaps, never considered,) that women are not prey for their despicable relentless attacks, they have been raised and come from a place that views women as being little more than objects for them to eat/destroy. i don't know how else, to talk about it.
and when you see, this vile hyena-like pack mentality who view women like a bag of beef jerky, you realize that what happened to a salinas could be from someone who knew her a bit and was grooming her that night for disaster, or to a random pack of this sub-humanity.
i paint an ugly picture, because i think that within that first 48hrs, the best hope for salinas was not met with action or proper investigation, not to the full extend that would add some positives to finding her alive.
thats my pessimism, for today. i don't mean to be a debbie downer.
keep safe, yall
That is an "ugly picture" indeed!!! I'm just glad to hear your girlfriend and her son were able to escape their clutches!
I don't want this to be what happened to Adrienne. I wouldn't have said I was leaning towards hyenas if I had first read this.
I hate to think we are living in such a primitive sub-culture of monsters who have no regard for women or human life in general.
At this point we don't know. We simply do not know what happened to Adrienne. Her dad said in the last interview I saw him in a couple of days ago that he didn't want to consider "the worst case scenario". I'm with him. Neither do I!
If I have several scenarios to choose from I don't want to opt for the very worst! That's just me.![]()
its disgusting. but, to treat it as something that is so putrid that it just CAN't exist and lets not talk about it, lets it fester and continue on, imo
Goblin, just because I posted I prefer not to believe this is what happened to Adrienne doesn't mean I don't know how dangerous it is out there and that I don't think the possibility exists. Trust me, I'm not that naive or uninformed.
You must have missed my post about crime statistics that I thought were staggering. You must have missed my post where I posed the question:
"Is it safe for any woman to walk anywhere at night in this country in the wee hours of the morning?"
I didn't get much response. Maybe one reply, that's it.
I sense your frustration. I'm with you on that, buddy.
Everyone thinks it can't happen to them....until it happens.
I read somewhere recently that OVER 2300 PEOPLE in this country go missing EVERY DAY. Incredible!!! And it's not just women. It's every age, gender, ethnicity.
i read your posts, and i apoligize if my post seemed to be an attack yr prior post, i quoted it because it reminded me of some other things that bum me out that had nothing to do with your words.
I didn't take it as a personal attack in the slightest, Goblin. No need for an apology. I completely and totally understand your frustration. And for the most part I agree.
Since I don't live in Tempe, but I do live in neighboring Scottsdale, I am not so familiar with the area or the 'night scene' there. So I really do appreciate your description of the area and what goes on, including your own thoughts on the subject. Thanks!

i had a friend drugged at a party in fountain hills, and she woke up the nxt morning with no underwear on beneath her clothes and off to the side of a road. luckily, she was alive and very confused, and the police? well, they didn't really care.
my ex fiance was sexually assaulted in glendale, at a house party. the police in that incident, well, if ONLY she was treated even like a girl down a well. i cant even speak to how disheartening, that experience was for me. imagine how she felt when they didn't give a.
its my opinion that its not so much, location, but that as a culture there are men that think they can have whatever they want, whenever they want, and its merely theirs for the taking. its a segment of the population who are empowered to do this by friends and even the women who excuse it, or cops who dont respond with the same justice when its a person who isn't the daughter of a senator but just a neighborhood girl, illegal alien, or prostitute. their is a distinct difference in response, when its a woman of different 'worth,' and its sickening.
in salinas instance it seems like the culture around her is not very supportive in helping but in supporting the 'snitches get stiches' mentality, i dont speak for ANYONE but meself, and thats merely an observation and obviously not scientific fact.
its vile.
GREAT INFO!!! Now, with that information I definitely feel comfortable with my theory of what happened to her. Unfortunately, I can't say it here without getting the ban. I just hope they can put the pieces together soon. They have to know what transpired here, there are very few options. They just need the missing link.
