Why would Adrienne get a ride to go meet a cab? That's sort of a stretch, IMO, though I suppose it's possible. I'm still trying to figure out why she did not have the cab come to her apartment complex in the first place, which is what most folks - especially a young, perhaps 'buzzing' female at 4:30-5AM - would do. I bet she did want him to come there, but he could not find the place or didn't want to try, so she went to him. And met him at OReillys. At around 4:50. When both were caught on camera at roughly the same time.

Just sayin'

she may have mentioned to someone that she was going to catch a cab back to the BF's house and that person could have said "well, i'm going to AMPM really quick to get something, i'll buy you some cigs, etc, then i can go home from there if you want to have the cab meet you there"??

just throwing the option out there. if i had an offer from someone i knew to take me to a place, rather than walk at that time of morning, so i could catch a cab ride.. i'd probably take it if i was really eager to get to my destination.

of course, my theories are only going off the assumption that the cabbie and bf aren't involved. i do have my suspicions but i'm trying to think of other possibilities since they are not being named as POIs by LE.

last night i kept waking up thinking about Adrienne and trying to come up with new ideas. one thing that kept me up was wondering if there was a median/curb on the University Drive side of the auto parts store. if there was, it would mean that the person who entered the driveway into the parking lot off of university would have either come down hardy (north or south) and turned west onto university, or they could have come all the way down from the east on university (assuming they didn't make a u-turn at hardy.. ughhh). so, i go to check this morning on google maps and alas, there is no median. someone could have entered the driveway coming FROM the west too. :(that car could have come from any-freaking-where. BUT, there has to be footage of the same car passing by another business with surveillance somewhere in that area. there are so many businesses, it would be very difficult to avoid another camera. UNLESS you were only on residential streets while in the area. *sigh*

i've royally been a pain in the rear tonight with my timeline. (overwhelming much??) but i keep finding things to add to it and want to make sure that the morning crew has the latest and greatest. good night yall! tty in the morning! good news is that this new timeline closes the questionable gap we had between 3am and 3:44am. does anyone know how long it would take to drive from Adrienne's apartment to her BFs house?

Saturday, June 15th:
3:00am – “Last seen by roommates” when she left to go to boyfriend’s home (1). Her apartment is on Brown & Hardy (as relayed to us by WS members Goblinsolo & 2Hip2BSquare, found by watching news videos and doing a visual of the apartments in the area) previous reports reported her apartment as being on Ash Avenue (6) *There is a discrepancy here as there was a roommate that did see her after the argument with the boyfriend occurred and Adrienne returned home*
[unknown time] The boyfriend told LE that Adrienne was upset with him for talking to other people at the party and not paying enough attention to her. He said Adrienne asked him to leave but later followed him to his car and said she wanted him to drive her to Scottsdale so they could talk more. The argument continued during the drive and at his home (14). Arteaga said they continued to argue about their relationship, even when they arrived at his house, police said. Arteaga said during their argument inside the house, he stepped out to get some air and when he came back, Salinas was gone, police said. Arteaga said he found Salinas walking toward Indian School Road and told her he would take her home (16). So he gave her a ride to 5th Street & Mill Avenue where she jumped out of his car and walked the rest of the way home (14).
3:20am - Adrienne’s boyfriend called one of her roommates to tell the roommate that Adrienne was walking home so she could meet her (15). The roommate, Rebecca Flores, told LE she went out on her bike to look for Adrienne but didn’t find her until she (Rebecca) returned back to the apartment. Rebecca said that Adrienne was “calmly upset” over the argument with her boyfriend (13).
[unknown time] After Adrienne & Rebecca spoke outside on the grass, Adrienne went upstairs to her room and packed a small bag but Rebecca didn’t see Adrienne leave (13).
3:44am – Police received a 911 call that Adrienne’s car had hit a median at Ash & Rio Salado Parkway. Passerby saw car driving erratically behind her, so she moved over and let the car pass. (4) The witness said the car passed her near the Rio Salado Parkway and struck a curb, flattening both the driver's-side tires.. the car sped off before the witness could check on the driver (13). Adrienne’s car was then driven less than a mile to Brown and Roosevelt. Police say that from there, she walked a ¼ mile back to her apartment where she changed clothes, leaving behind her wallet and keys. (9) Witness says “they” in her 911 call. Operator asked how many people she thought was in the car and the witness said she thought there were two, she thought she saw one in the passenger seat. (10).
4:10-4:17am – Adrienne’s cell phone called the boyfriend 11 times, but he didn’t answer. (4)
4:23am – Adrienne called the cab company requesting to be picked up at AMPM. Nearest driver was about 20 minutes away. Cab driver’s name is Tom (11).
4:30am – Person driving to work found naked woman’s body in the street. Not sure if this is related. Near McClintock and Baseline. (2) – this woman has since been identified and her boyfriend has been arrested for murder. Still unknown if related to Adrienne’s disappearance, but I’m keeping this on the timeline just in case, because of the timing.
4:43 or 4:47am – Text sent from Adrienne’s phone to boyfriend’s phone said she was going to his house. (1 & 4)
4:52am – A slender woman was seen in the west parking lot of O’Reilly’s Auto Parts on the surveillance cameras . Address is 1002 W. University Ave. (12) It has not been confirmed whether or not the woman seen is Adrienne.
4:54am – A dark 4 door sedan was seen heading northbound in the same parking lot 2 minutes later on the surveillance cameras (12).
5:00am – Last seen near Brown & Roosevelt streets. (3) Another reports states last seen at this location at 4:30am (7) -- not sure who she was last seen BY, or if this goes off pings, but this is also the same location her car was found.
5:04am – Cab driver (Tom) called Adrienne to make sure she was headed to the gas station. (11)
5:05am - Cab driver (Tom) called Adrienne to make sure she was headed to the gas station (again). (11) Previous reports indicated: Police said Adrienne called a cab company, but the cabbie couldn’t find her at a Tempe convenience store. (4) “Salinas asked for a driver to meet her at the AMPM gas station at the intersection of Hardy & University. Investigators told CBS 5 she never made it there” (5). LE saw surveillance of cab driver at AMPM but there was no sign of Adrienne there. LE subsequently questioned the cab driver and searched his home. AMPM is less than ¼ mile from Adrienne’s apartment. (9)
5:06am – Adrienne called the cab driver (Tom) saying she’d be there in a minute.
5:07am – Cab driver (Tom) called Adrienne again, looking for her, but the phone went to voicemail. (11) Her phone was turned off (1) or died (8).

Sunday, June 16th:
2:00pm – AS’s father found her car two blocks away from her apartment. (8)
Her Father called LE that afternoon. (8)

Other known info:
After leaving her disabled car, she walked less than a ¼ mile to her home and changed clothes and left again, leaving her wallet and keys behind. (9)
LE has questioned the cab driver and searched his home. Say he’s not a suspect at this time. (9) LE also took a DNA sample from cab driver (11).
LE did a sweep of Tempe Town Lake and found nothing. (9)
LE says that BF has been cleared and has fully cooperated. (10)
Cab procedures: "In a place like this, they would get out, look around, make sure the person wasn't in the store," Simon said. He said his son did just that but never saw Salinas. (11)
Francisco Arteaga told police Salinas was upset with him after a party at her apartment because she felt he “was not paying enough attention to her,” according to the report. (13)
Adrienne has a small dog that she never leaves home without bringing it or making sure someone will care for it while she’s gone (13).
The police report said Adrienne had no source of income and that her father gave her money for her living expenses, including $10 for gas a few days before she vanished. (14)

This is really good! Thanks!
Involvement of cab driver at the most critical times stands out, but he was cleared...

Considering her condition, I'm surprised she didn't pass out at some point - she seems so very endangered and vulnerable!
Since cab drive been cleared, has to be random or someone who saw her earlier and was waiting for opportunity...

Where is the AMPM on these routes? I'm assuming it is on route 1? Also 15 minutes drive or 15 minutes walking time?

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374337229.882024.jpg

15 minute drive taking route 1.

The AMPM is the green pin. The closest area we can surmise according to reports that the bf's complex would be is at the red pin.

  • #945
if she got a ride over to the AMPM area, the person may have offered to lend her some cash for the cab and said that THEY needed to get money out of the ATM for her. they might have also needed to get some gas? they could have won her over by saying that they didn't want her walking out alone at that time of night because it was too dangerous. the person also could have said that they lived in the opposite direction from the BF, otherwise they'd just give her a ride there.

all IMO

  • #946
Not sure LE said the cab driver is cleared; just that he is not a POI.

  • #947
IMO I think if it were the cabbie or bf LE would know by now, most likely. Theyve been investigated for a month now and there wasn't much of a time lapse between the crime and when they were investigated.

  • #948
i'm starting to think that the 3am start time to all of this is no good. it was the time given in early reports, but it was also supposedly the last time her roommates saw her, when she was getting ready to leave. but if her and the BF left the party at 3:00 and it's a 15-20 minute drive TO his house, then there was time spent arguing there, he had time to go out for a "breather" then went out and found her walking, she got back into the car and THEN they drove BACK towards her apartment (another 15-20ish minutes) and he called her roomie at 3:20 telling her that Adrienne got out of the car and was walking home? none of the timing fits. i would say that the 3:00 time could really be the 3:20 time that we now know about.. assuming that the latest reports are correct. so then, she leaves in her car, crashes and ditches it, goes BACK to her apartment and changes, leaves her key/wallet, then heads for AMPM (either solo or with someone).

i'm also having a hard time adding another person into her vehicle at the time of the crash. i don't understand who that could be. if she planned on going to the BFs for the night, i doubt she'd bring someone along with her. but the witness seems to believe they saw another person. knowing about the sedan that comes into the picture later, it just makes me wonder if she really did have someone with her when she left in her own car.

As far as the cab driver; while he has not been named a POI, nor has he been fully cleared, I do not find it unusual to think that LE may not be "done" with him. Sometimes it can take months or years to have enough evidence to actually bring charges, especially when there is no crime scene or evidence of foul play. I think BF was probably ruled out via pings and phone records, but I do not see how the driver can be ruled out, even if he also cannot be officially made a POI.

  • #950
Cab driver has not been cleared (or investigated that we know of). He has purportedly been initially questioned, has submitted DNA samples, and his father has stated that he is being cooperative. That's all we know. Though he is not technically a POI or suspect, police have since refused to comment on him.

I'm back......sheesh, still looks like a big fat nothing on this case! Goblin, buddy, how you doin'? ;)

Hey where've you been? This place could use your logic. Come back. LOL

Seriously!!!

That's all we know. Though he is not technically a POI or suspect, police have since refused to comment on him.

The cab driver has been very thoroughly investigated. His home has been searched, his vehicle he drives has been searched and he has been interviewed more than once as well as having submitted DNA samples. LE has issued a statement that "he is not considered a person of interest at this time". They reserve that terminology "at this time" for everyone they interview.

I don't know if he has been given a polygraph but I have a feeling he has and probably passed. The boyfriend has also been submitted to all of these things, searches, interviews, polygraphs, etc. I don't know if he has given DNA samples but just because it hasn't been reported doesn't mean he hasn't.

I have a feeling he probably has, especially if he was polygraphed.

I understand your feelings about the cabbie but I also think it is important to attempt to follow the rules here and not sleuth him here on this forum, because he could very well be innocent.

He could be just as much a victim as anyone else in this case. He could be just the poor unsuspecting cabbie who 'got the call'. Nothing more and nothing less.

Peace...

We have discussed this over and over, before you got into the discussion so deeply, and it has been somewhat of a mystery as to why she didn't want the cabbie to pick her up at her apartment. There are different theories, one of them being that she was still fearful of getting a DUI. I think this is one of the most interesting facets of this case and one of the most frustrating. To wonder why she didn't want him to meet her there.

I have driven over there to see the neighborhood and get a feeling for what she may have gone through. It isn't far from where I live, about 20 minutes. There is no way the cabbie could have not known where her apartment was. A five year old could have found it, much less a cab driver who probably picked up and delivered fares in that area routinely.

It does still boggle the mind to think she wanted to walk to that place at that time of day/morning/night and not have the cab pick her up at home. I have spent countless hours pondering this very thing, only to come up with nothing solid that makes any sense.

There are so many things that just don't add up. I don't have as much of a problem with the timeline as you do, but there do appear to be inconsistencies to me too.

I hope you can come up with something as you are exploring the possibilities here of what happened to her. I hope that together we all can help to find out where she might be.

(from early reports)

"Shaney Duggan was one of the last people to see Adrienne. It was around 4:30 a.m. Saturday. Duggan says her roommate was upset and on her way to see her boyfriend."

http://liarcatchers.com/blog/?p=18086

But Rebecca Flores said differently in her story about not seeing AS leave the apt with her bag to head to Scottsdale.

I'm beginning to think the inconsistencies in reporting are more about witnesses changing their stories and becoming less credible over time rather than the LE/media being incompetent.

Something is fishy here which Rebecca's story now being used in LE's most updated info to the media according to reports. as of her story is more credible to LE (maybe it is).

Maybe SD used AS phone and acted like AS when she talked to cab at 5:06? I don't know of she would perform this manipulation willingly or out of force/intimidation by others.

Respectfully snipped to show the amount of "exposure time" she had on the streets in wee hours.... about 1.5 hours! That's a long, long time for a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 to spot her...
Comparing this to very short amount of time Mickey Shunick was on the streets at 2am zipping cross town on her her bicycle and from out of nowhere a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sees and takes her...

Excellent observation, Steve. I really do like this unbiased and factual (as far as we know) timeline. It helps so much when attempting to put things in perspective. Yes...it was a long night for Adrienne. Someone/someones had much longer than just the final two or three minutes to execute a plan to take her. I wish it wasn't true but the facts are that it is.

Tonight is the Vigil at Jaycee Park for Adrienne. Some of us from here will be attending. All here who can come are invited.

We can at least show our support for Adrienne and her grieving family.

It's a candle light vigil. Even if you can't come, wherever you are, you can still light a candle.

Peace and love.....

Maybe she needed to get money from an ATM to pay the cab or she needed to buy something at the store. I know dad said she didn't have any money and he gave her $10 for gas but she did have a job. I don't think she was as broke as he implied. Probably just typical college broke.

It appears she left her identification and credit/debit cards behind in her wallet. You could be right about the 'typical college kid' broke theory. Maybe she had some cash in her pocket. I think she was still working as a server at Ruby Tuesday's so she might have stashed some tips.

I'm thinking she was still very disorientated at this time. Probably just not thinking clearly. There are still so many possibilities.
