I wish I could see the report!

Friggin me too!

You or sand might be able to show up to the department and request to see the report (it should be public info I believe if you request for it.)

Or cut the brakes?

That which is most evident or simple seems to make the most sense at this time, and that the slender woman and car have not been identified yet. as to her car being tampered with, LE has gone thru that car of hers, and NO foul play was discovered. none.

the car at oreillys, if it was the same car as the cab, that would be something. if it was the same car as what the guy who murdered the woman that same night drives, that would be something. but, thats simple 101 police work, and IF they had those connections it wouldn't take much to put it together.

and, as posted prior (by missdeanor?,) PHONE hasn't been found!? ugh

one.

I would worry someone could have repaired it before they checked it for evidence. That's what sucks. The car wasn't found parked on the street until Sunday.

In fact no one saw HER actually leave her car at that spot.

coming from lurking to just say one quick thing. the news report I heard this morning - channel 3, (KTVK) - I heard it on the 8am news, not in print... they ended the story (which supposedly had an update) by saying the BF was cleared and police are not commenting on the cabbie. Can't back this up with a link, could be shoddy reporting by Scott Passmore, just thought it odd since I thought they had cleared cabbie.

I have gone back and forth with suspects and scenarios and, after following many many cases here and elsewhere, I keep going back to occam's razor. I can't get on board with some of these wild theories, but I do hope that some nugget of truth shakes out from the brainstorming. I went to the first vigil days after she was reported missing, and I will be there this weekend, quietly observing and sharing good vibes.

It's quite possible she could have arranged to get or had her car at The auto shop (a tow truck driver usually asks you to separate your car key from your house keys). A tow truck usually takes your car to the auto shop even if it's closed for when the auto shop opens the next morning.

Any new information released? (Sorry, really behind, here, looks like there have been lots of new recent postings)...

<edit, nevermind, I'll just try to catch up, might be too much to explain in one post! :)>

And many times people get a ride with the tow truck driver.

I really do not think, IMO, that the cab driver with Scottsdale Cab Guy was involved in any foul play. LE has checked him out pretty thoroughly and they have stated he is not a suspect or POI at this time.

But remembering that was Friday night and that parties in that area of Tempe can go on until all times of the night and that these young people do call cabs to avoid getting DUIs makes me wonder if there are a lot of cabs just cruising the area.

Didn't Goblin say on one of his sleuthing trips that he saw a lot of activity that time of morning? And also that it wasn't all that dark?

Yes a 4 door dark sedan does sound like a cab to me. One of those Lincolns. Most of the unmarked LE vehicles I have seen are lighter in color. Mostly tan.

Assuming this was Adrienne, and she was spotted at 4:52 in the O'Reilly parking lot and the dark car spotted at 4:54 (two minutes later) And if she spoke to the cabbie she originally called at 5:06, what could have transpired in those 12 to 14 minutes?

Could this have been someone she knew? Why would she tell the cabbie she would "be there in a minute"?

If this new information is accurate then really this is the only timeframe that matters. What happened to Adrienne between 4:52 and 5:06?

I also saved it in the Case archive.

She's responsible. I would think she would at least get her car to a shop or towed before going to the BF.

She works for what she has. I don't think shed just leave a car she worked so hard at Ruby Tuesday's to keep up on a side street. Even if tipsy or forgetting things, I think she was attempting to get her car dealt with. It wasnt found parked on the street until sunday - almost a day and a half after it was wrecked. We don't know if Adrienne parked it on that street. No one saw her do so.

O'Reilly's is an auto parts store, not a repair shop... is that correct?

Cops would know if she called for a tow truck.

quote pulled from AmandaReckonwith's post #564: "Tempe police won't go into detail about the cab driver."

ETA: Interesting, because they did in earlier reports, by adding that he had been swabbed and searched. That is not included in this piece from today.

also, I mentioned early on: gypsy cabs. If she did not personally know the cabbie she had called (Dan, right?) then maybe a gypsy cab fooled her into thinking said gypsy cabdriver was the driver to whom she spoke.

Yes, a store. But employees are known to help install simple parts purchased there. IMO

She might have known someone who worked there. They could have helped her with her car before.

Okay, I'm back to wondering why Adrienne didn't just ask the cab company to pick her up at her apartment instead of at the AM/PM.

Why would she want to walk there at 4:30 or 5:00 in the morning or whatever time she did.

I don't know. Maybe a tow driver heard about the wreck over CV and decided to check out the area. Tow trucks actually work independently - many times they are crooks as well.

One company in Tempe I encountered, not associated with the state, towed my car and do I showed up and told them I wasn't going to pay to get my car back bc since they were not a state towing company, they were essentially holding my car ransom. I threatened to even call an officer to help back me up. They gave me my car back. They towed it bc it was in a numbered parking spot that never got used in my own lot.

I think it is really reaching to think someone else parker her car. JMO

Goblin, I do find your question of why she was walking on the opposite side of the street from her destination to be very interesting and observant.

I know if I am walking somewhere at an odd hour, or anytime for that matter, I stay on the side of the street closest to my destination.
