So, a violent murderer, who had just murdered a young twenty something year old brunette, was around the exact same area around the exact same time. Just can't let it go.
Me, too.

Welcome potatoes!!!
:welcome:
(I wish I had some potatoes right now to go with my bacon for my Sunday breakfast!)
So just have the cab pick you up around the corner at an exact time which would be one minute from your apartment's front door, right?
I NEVER have a cab pick me up far from the front door of where I am----I'm funny like that. Why walk anywhere when you've just called a cab. It kinda' defeats the purpose, if ykwim????
The AMPM was quite a few blocks away.......
I agree but then if her stuff wasn't found in her car where they should been, red flag. If they were found along the road, possible where something bad could have happened.. Could have been a clue. Or if something happened at another house or car.. If they find her stuff at her apartment they would never know she was here.
Good point, just trying to think of a reason to not have the cab pick her up at home.
Was the AMPM the closest "liquor store" in a sense?
Maybe she wanted the party atmosphere to continue on at the bf's house via some alcohol but just with the two of them to smoothen things out?
(Sorry I don't know about Tempe's liquor laws as I'm from 2 states that have the oddest liquor laws in the country....some cities are considered "dry" and some areas don't sell alcohol in convenience stores &/or on Sundays).
Maybe she was really hungry / thirsty/ had the munchies, or needed something asap from the store (tylenol? feminine product? cigarettes) and didn't want to wait in case the cab was delayed?
so true.. times could have come from any number of places. the thing about cell phones is that (i think) most of them are automatically updated? also - i'm guessing most people her age would probably check times on their phones, so hopefully the times were all correct. luckily most of the times we have to go off of are documented, cell records, video times, so they can be checked for accuracy. the problem with the witness accounts of time (seeing her drive off at 3:40am) is you have to wonder how accurate they are. did they base it off of having looked at their phone at 3:35 and it seemed like 5 minutes later that they saw her leave? granted, this 3:40 time can kind of be backed up by the accident happening 4 minutes later approx. 4 minutes from her apartment. but hopefully you catch my drift!
I'm new here but have reading cases here for a long time.
Maybe she wanted to get picked up at the AMPM instead of her apartment so her roommates didn't see the cab pick her up and start asking questions about her car. Just a thought.
True but I just thought of something-----even as young and naive as when I was 19, I would've had a party guest drive me to the AMPM to get whatever I wanted knowing a cab was going to take me to my bf at the previously arranged time.
So that puts me back at questioning who she was talking to at her house party after 4am???
I don't think she talked to anyone. She snuck in, trying to avoid talking to the people there. For the same reason she asked to be picked up blocks away because she didn't want to hang out at the apartment and wait for the cab, or even its vicinity. moo

In my opinion I think that she was paranoid she was seen and was trying her best to distance herself away from her wrecked car. She may have walked home without calling any of her roommates, and snuck in her apartment so she could drop off anything that would associate her with hitting the curb. That way she could say that she wasn't driving her car, wasn't wearing those clothes and she didn't even have her keys with her if the police questioned her.
Cab_guy, you didn't get a chance to answer me yet from the last thread before it was locked, did police play a recording of Adrienne's voice for Tom so that he could tell them whether it was her voice or a different female's voice who called him from her cellphone that night?
Thanks!
