At 3pm today Chief Villaseñor will do a press conference regarding the child's remains located yesterday.

Isabel lived at 56xx E. 12th Street for mapping. It's approximately 10.7 miles from her home, remains found near S. 12th Avenue.

Thanks for the update on the presser and the map. There probably isn't a link between the remains found yesterday and Isabel, but I was curious about the location with regard to the Celis' home. I hope that LE has located the people who lived in the unit when the child's remains might have been left there. I shudder to think what might have happened

First post so I don't think I can help with posting a map but I'm local so I can try to help. In Tucson, streets run east-west and avenues run north-south (at least for numbered roads).

According to this news article, the remains were found at a building on the south side of W Idaho St. Their picture map shows an X over the fourth building to the left (west) of S 13th Ave.

Attempting to post a google map linking the two intersections (Broadway & Craycroft to Idaho & 13th). Drive time 18 minutes.

You do such a good job with maps, probably just as good as a local, so here's some treats for you (except I don't know how to find them)!
I'll give you two cups of coffee and two cupcakes for your efforts!

This video says the remains were found in the 700 block of West Idaho. Maybe we can get a map for that location compared to Isa's home.
The reporter doesn't seem to know if the remains were from an adult, man, female or child or who found them.

Thanks, Watcher9! :seeya:

:eat: ::coffeews:

Yum... Slurp... I am enjoying the treats tremendously!

:sunshine:

ETA... Seems like this reporter in the above link needs to drink some of your delicious coffee.... S/he doesn't seem to know much about what is going on...

Haven't the multiple reports said they were remains of a child? :waitasec: :giggle:

It is currently 11:46 in Tucson. Presser at 3pm. It could also be Karen Grajeda. She went missing in 1996. This is very close to where she went missing. But like someone mentioned it could be an unreported missing child also.

Karen went missing from 175 W. Valencia Road. 2.1 miles/5 minutes.

Yes... The remains are even closer to where Karen Grajeda went missing than where Isabel Celis went missing...

So is this a smaller or larger child? They didn't say baby or toddler that I saw.

I don't know sophiebelle. Not a lot of news flowing here in Tucson. Karen and Isabel weren't too much different in size either.

They are looking for previous tennants. I can't believe someone would bury a child in their backyard. It's a small yard too from what I saw in the video.
