I can't hear an ice cream truck go by any longer without thinking of Mikelle Biggs. So awful, poor kid just ran out to get an ice cream and all that was left was her bike on the sidewalk and the change her mother gave her.
Can't even trust the ice cream man anymore.

:(

In case some of you missed it, PI Kelly Townsend was on Tricia's True Crime Radio on BlogTalkRadio. He's a PI in Arizona and basically said he's solved Isa's case and knows who is responsible, but LE isn't doing anything about it. The show he was on was from 3/31. I think it's around 9-10 minutes into the show or so that he starts to talk about Isa's case (maybe a little later).

Alissa Marie Turney, 17- http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/t/turney_alissa.html

Mikelle Biggs, 11- http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/b/biggs_mikelle.html

Jahessye Shockley, 5- http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/s/shockley_jahessye.html

Isabel Celis, 5- http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/celis_isabel.html

Describes what each were last seen wearing. Jahessye had on pink flip flops. Isabel no mention of shoes, Mikelle was wearing white canvas shoes & Alissa was wearing grey sneakers. Also, Karen Grajeda missing from Tucson, 1996, 7 years old was wearing Guess running shoes (the running shoes is from a statement her mother made posted in her thread today)

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/g/grajeda_karen.html

Although what they were last seen wearing may have changed by their abductors, the only one that doesn't seem to fit the description in the news is Alissa due to her height & weight.

Did anyone else notice that of the 118 missing children in AZ that many children have been found and not id'd? That's scary.

Start at 16:00, he says "we have evidence who did it, but the problem is, that person is in Florida and TPD refuses to do anything about it". He goes on to say other things ... I dunno guys, listen and give your opinion.

One thing that is bothering me is the container had locking handles and was duct taped. Was the body kept for a while or was it to protect the body from being noticed by animals? A caring gesture? Just bothers me because out in the desert like that, it wouldn't be noticed if the handles locked & lid was tight. Just a thought.

It sounds as if the conditions are perfect for recovery of evidence.

Tape ,locked container. I think you could be right about the caring gesture. Unless someone had to hide this person in a home for an extended period of time.

Human remains found in Arizona desert, may be linked to high profile missing persons cases

"We noticed the branches on the top came from somewhere else. My brother thought maybe someone didn't want us to find it," said Contreras.

Inside the container were human remains.

"We didn't know it was human until we saw the hair and the skull. Our hearts dropped," said Contreras.

BBM I wish they would have expanded on the statement above. How did they know the branches were from somewhere else? Was it a type of wood that doesn't grow in the area? Interesting indeed.

Yes, it sounds like whoever tried to disquise it, hide it. He said different branches meaning to me, a different type bush/tree altogether covering the container than the one it was ditched/hidden in. I also wonder about water. Did rain storms move it and it snagged in the bush? Or was the container put in water with tape on the container to preserve the body? gah...

That tape is so interesting to me. I have probably too high of hopes that evidence will be found on it.

Someone asked how long the body had been estimated to be there. It's between 2 to 20 years per MSM but I'm not sure when locking type rubbermaid storage containers first came out (10 years ago?). Must be skeletal remains, hair is present, not sure if any skin tissue would be there but DNA of bone marrow might, hopefully dental would be. I just hope the remains were intact to give a COD.

Also, Martin Contreras & friends/family need a big shout out! It obviously affected the three who found the container and opened it.

eta, could be mesquite, ironwood, greasewood, palo verde to name a few.

Yeah, sounds like cut branches/slash were piled on top of the container to help hide it. Creosote is another possible source.
Hope you're right about the tape yielding evidence.
I've been in and out of TMC (where RC works) since January. I've seen only one Missing flyer (in a staff room). I haven't seen one in local businesses in months now.

I agree! I can't even begin to imagine finding what they did. It would be the last thing on my mind! It warmed my heart when he said he felt they were meant to find the young one...... God bless them.

Me either on the flyers. But there's a vigil at Peter Piper's on Sunday. Across from Park Mall. Face painting, fingerprinting etc..

Dang pieper4, I just came here because I remembered creosote bush and was going to post it...It does look like it. Put mesquite or any I listed above on top of a container would be a different type bush/tree, you'd notice it. Let's hope it was obviously palm fronds or something. imo

I am so ashamed I could not remember Isabel's name when I saw that these remains were found. I am deeply ashamed.

I think this just may be Isabel. If not, then at least someone has been located.

It hurts so much to know a small child or small woman was disposed of like garbage. I know it happens every day, but it still hurts.

I almost hope it is Isabel because I do feel she is no longer alive.

MOO

I hope the perp left evidence behind. I am so tired of people getting away with murder. It seems as if since crime scene analysis became more complex lawyering has met the challenge by becoming more manipulative. I am just tired of knowingly guilty people walking free. Sigh.

So I went back to the start of this case and found some things I had forgotten, Like there was a pair of sandals found in a park that was tested against family DNA , does anyone know if it was a match? also , a pair of sandals had to have been missing from the home , for the police to think that the ones found in the park was connected to this case..Does anyone remember if IZZY had on the same clothes at the ball game that night as she was reported missing in?What kind of shoes did she wear to the game, ? A Hugh Thanks to anyone who can help shed some light:fence:

I found the article about the sandles being found when Isabel went missing. I had forgotten about it. There is no mention of what type shoes Isabel had on or if any were missing.

This is what was said in regards to what Isabel was last wearing. Flyers say blue shirt & blue shorts. No shoes mentioned.

Becky Celis told a dispatcher she had put braided ponytails in Isabel’s hair before she went to bed. She said Isabel was wearing an Old Navy American flag t-shirt and navy blue shorts when she last saw her.
