Yes, I understand. I just think if someone close to the family is talking online about this "cousin/uncle" they may also be talking to NG. Who knows!

I'm with you, Lava; I hope so! I'm not sure if we can post the name of the forums we're talking about. The one I read didn't seem to be someone close to the family. The poster was figuring out who JM's parents may be and how he may be related.

I did read a small. local newspaper about a male cousin who is a senior in high school. He called the reporter to get word out about Isabel.

I agree, I saw that too! Also, sometimes people don't like to be called cousins, or uncles. I have an uncle and aunt who are younger than me and I call them cousins. I also have cousins who are closer to me that are called Uncles lol. "Uncle" seems to be a term people like to apply to distinguish closer relationships, at least in my family lol.

I see this a lot. And also I see a lot of people call cousins aunts or uncles when they are much older than their cousin......just like "uncle J" and Isabel.

I dont pay much attention to rumor and speculation so I will wait for LE to say if the cousin is connected whatsoever to Isa's disappearance.

But, if it should come to pass, I cant begin to imagine the heartbreak, and anger, Isa's parents will feel. To me the pain would be far worse for those who love Isa if it is someone they knew, loved, and had trusted.

I dont see any family kin connection at this time though.

I take what is being said on NG or JVMs show with a boatload of salt.

IMO

Don't know if this was posted yet

"We lived two doors down from the victim's home," Smith said. "We left for a couple of reasons, one of which is because I saw a peeping tom two years ago in the back yard up against the window staring at my wife while she was lying in bed. I called the police while he was still there, and was able to speak to them while he was still there at the window."

I don't think the 3 little girls made anything up, but I do think it was someone they knew, even if they didn't realize it. Think about it - they were visiting from Hawaii. It is a pretty brazen act to "walk into" a bedroom where 3 kids are sleeping, leave the room, and then return later on. There is no mention of a weapon being used.

Statistically speaking, a crime like this is unlikely to be committed by a stranger. It would have to be someone who not only knew the girls were visiting from Hawaii, but also the layout of the home. The girls didn't make enough noise to wake anyone even after he left the room the first time, but they felt safe enough to go tell their mother when he entered the room the second time.

WS is loading very slowly this morning :( At the risk of losing my post, my apologies for not locating the post that I attempted to respond to last night.

Re: Outlandish theories that are floating around the internet. When WS was misbehaving :D yesterday, I visited a few crime-related sites to check out the scuttlebutt on the Celis case. Talk about overactive imaginations  While we speculate and try to piece together a puzzle in many cases, it seems that most "theories" here at Websleuths are based on the facts as we know them in each case and that those theories have a remote chance of being in the realm of reality. I saw several "spaghetti" stories yesterday that sound like Twilight Zone plots :what:

Hoping my post goes through and that the site will be back to "normal" soon.

If the poster is referring to JM I lean towards uncle because of the photo taken in his Jeep with Isabel in the back seat captioned "Havin fun being Uncle J".

Per TOS I can't link because there is a minor and unidentified woman besides Isabel in the photo but it is easy to find.

I am not 100% certain that it is Isa in the back seat with the woman and the other little girl. The pics appear to be a trip taken to Washington state with his brother.

Looking at Mom's FB and Uncle's I feel that it is Isa.

Being children and being woke up through the night i would assume they were half asleep and in shock to move. But being the oldest might have woke up a lot quicker and realized she wasn't dreaming and ran for her mom. It might have taken a minute or two for the children to realize they weren't dreaming. So is the 3 littles girls house a corner lot just like Isas? When I turned and went do the home of the 3 little girls I saw much more houses.

It sits in an area that appears rural and there is desert behind their home. The street is rather short and it ends in a cul-de-sac. The homes on that short street are close to $300,000. There are no other close streets around that street. On the previous page, there is a google map where you can see all the houses and "drive" down the street.

The first real potential -- and somewhat devastating -- break in the case in days happened early Monday morning. A sexual assault was reported about 10 miles away from Isabel’s home. Police say that a man entered a house and went into a bedroom where three little girls were sleeping. He allegedly molested one of these girls before leaving. The girls were sisters, aged six, eight, and 10, who were visiting their grandparents. Pima County Sheriff Department and Tucson detectives are looking to see if there could be a connection between this alleged assault and Isabel’s disappearance.

Former FBI agent Steve Moore tells us that he thinks a connection is likely, adding that the vast majority of assaults and abductions are committed by someone who knows the victim. And the odds of two random acts of this nature taking place only miles apart are astronomical.

As of now, investigators say they have not found any connection and they think the incidents are most likely unrelated -- but they are investigating further.

For now, we have a lot more questions than answers. Isabel’s parents are asking questions. Investigators are asking questions. And the hundreds of thousands of people following this search and praying for a happy ending are asking questions.

Because this case is more than one missing girl in Tucson, Arizona. It is about more than putting the Celis family back together. It is about parents wanting to know their children are safe when they tuck them in bed at the end of the day. And it’s about not allowing another child to disappear into the night.

Hi- this is my first post in this thread. I first read about this case on the Statement Analysis blog and found the Uncle odd. I saw a link to the mom and uncle's Facebook pages and IMO that was DEFINITELY Isa in the backseat. She was about to take a bite out of something like a corn dog.

IIRC tonight, during Jane/Issues show, there was a reporter on the show that indicated that the mother and the three children went back to Hawaii. The transcript of the show is not up yet and I didn't record the show.

ETA: Jane said they left for Hawaii. Senior Producer stated the "kids have left the house".

Thanks, Patty! My take is that Jane interpreted the senior producer's statement.

IF the two cases are related...not good for Isobel. I have never heard of a predator going after more victims if he still had one alive. JMO

There was the Shawn Hornbeck case...but I don't think I've ever heard of someone doing it so close together, except for Elizabeth Smarts abductor (tried to take her cousin). But In the realm of rare kidnappings, it is even rarer.
