There was the Shawn Hornbeck case...but I don't think I've ever heard of someone doing it so close together, except for Elizabeth Smarts abductor (tried to take her cousin). But In the realm of rare kidnappings, it is even rarer.

Steven Stayner as well...maybe throw in Franklin Delano Floyd but he is also a realm unto his own.

Hi- this is my first post in this thread. I first read about this case on the Statement Analysis blog and found the Uncle odd. I saw a link to the mom and uncle's Facebook pages and IMO that was DEFINITELY Isa in the backseat. She was about to take a bite out of something like a corn dog.

Welcome.

I did see the Uncle listed as a friend to the mother. Heck, my son's girlfriend and her daughter have some sort of family relation to the Uncle.

I can't with 100% certainty feel that is Isa, and respect the fact that you feel that is Isa!

Checking mother's FB and the Uncle, I will agree it is Isa.

KVOA‏@KVOA

Police have not made a decision whether to continue daily #isabelcelis updates. There is one set for 2 PM today & should know more then.

Thanks for this clarification. The article I linked says they are 'likely' to cease the briefings. I edited my post as such. :)

In regards to how "odd" the parents were acting.....maybe this is a huge differance but when my son passed away our world started spinning the other direction, neither of us were making any sense, couldn't think straight and people even commented that at the funeral we didn't seem that upset. We didn't have a clue how to act or what the right thing was so we just did what we thought we should do. Even now, 6 months later, I still find myself acting odd. I think her family is in shock, confused, scared and angry and God only knows all of the stuff that has not been made public. I think everyone needs to give them a break and remember that they are human and not all people act the same. Sorry for my rant, I just feel bad for them.

SBHP...
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son! :praying:
Thank you for posting this message.
DH and I lost our son to SIDS 25 years ago.
We, too, experienced similar situations as you described above.
I was so relieved to hear from our Grief Support Group that we have a right to grieve any way we need to, and that each person grieves differently.
We heard comments that we were odd in our reactions.. but were instructed to ignore them.
The people in our Grief Support Group were so supportive as we discussed this, and a myriad of other issues.

Thanks, Patty! My take is that Jane interpreted the senior producer's statement.

Now I feel bad about this, I can't believe I can't find the article I read, I would hate to post something that wasn't true.

Sorry!

Google News has a new link that a source close to Isabel's family stated that LE is looking closely at a male cousin of Isabel's. The link is to HLN's Nancy Grace page, FWIW. There's no more info than that there.

http://nancygrace.blogs.cnn.com/201...r-old-last-seen-with-family-playing-on-beach/

O/T, the top story on that page is the search for Caleigh Harrison, who was last seen playing at Long Beach in Rockport, Massachusetts 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I'm near there, and used to live on Cape Ann. The tide was going out and runs extremely fast in the area near the footbridge.

If this is true, I definitely agree that this is most likely why the family isn't speaking to media right now. Also, it means that she is most likely deceased, another reason why her parents aren't manning the volunteer booth, etc. :(

Now I'm wondering if the figure in the video is connected, the girls were attacked around the same time of night 1:30 AM), if that was indeed the correct time of the video.

I hope the 'sensitive information' LE has will lead to a resolution of this case soon.

Whew I made it in.

Hope the server is fixed. :D

Pensfan, thanks for posting the Pima FB page. It clearly states sexual assault. Not sure why the Capt downplayed on NG as some have posted (I didn't watch NG).

I believe there is a connection. This 🤬🤬🤬 needs to be found now!

Glad you're here... hope you get a new leg and eye! :floorlaugh:

I really don't think the girls fabricated their story. I'm kind of disheartened to hear it being dismissed by some. Most kids don't lie about things like that. And I'm sure EMS would have been able to tell if one of the girls had been raped (sorry to be graphic).

I too am disheartened. There are things called rape kits which are used, try sitting next to a child and parent when one of those is being performed. A child would also show signs easily of penetration.

Have we all turned so cynical just because we are not hearing every single word we need to hear from law enforcement? These kids are minors, let the locals know what has happened, let them take actions to make their children and themselves safe - it's THEIR backyard not yours or mine.

Are we still living in the world I lived in where children were seen and not heard and often not believed if they did talk? Do you ever wonder why so many adults come out and admit that they were violated 20 or 30 years after it happened? It is because they knew if they spoke then it would be dismissed , they were all kids with over active imaginations. I kind of thought that had gone out - my children learned 5 fingers, 5 friends in Kindergarten - each finger had a name of someone they trusted and could talk to, and if they couldn't tell mummy or daddy they could tell the next person. Sounds like a sad world huh? But I don't believe it is, my children, now adult have always told me everything and still do.

Now for those that will always believe that these girls made it up after hearing about Isabel - IF they did it is STILL an alarm. Three little girls sat down and made this story up to tell their mum - that to me is a child SCREAMING for attention. They too need help. MOO

I was going to apologise for graphic words, but I am not going to at all - they are facts.

Just curious, the front pages of KVOA and TucsonNewsNow haven't been updated since Monday - but I always hear a ton of stuff on the scanner. Does Tucson just report slowly? It irks me.

Irk is kind. News here is somewhat of a joke. Or at least a part time affair. :banghead:

I certainly understand the family being unhappy with what is being said and not wanting to speak to give people more to speculate on.

However... LE is telling the parents they need to talk to the media to keep Isabel in the public eye.
Soon there will be virtually no news coverage of Isabel.

If the parents still choose not to talk to the media at that point...

We will know that something else is more important than making sure as many people as possible know about Isabel.

The question at that point will be, what is that thing which is more important? :waitasec:

isa11.jpg

I hope it would be threats to harm Isabel or something else.
Some sort of legitimate fear which could endanger Isabel more than people not knowing she is missing.

I HOPE it wouldn't just be avoiding people finding bad things to say about them. That would be very sad for Isabel. :twocents:

And....Nancy:

New developments in the case of missing 6-yr-old Isabel Celis: police now confirm they have new information that is "too sensitive" to share right now. What do you think the information is? Also-- professional cleaning crews have just pulled up to the family home. Why?

I could not even get a single thread or page or anything to load last night... at all.
Today I can load pages and post again. So, for me anyway... definite progress. :woohoo:
