Jimmie Alston remembers waking up around 10 or 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve when he saw his 18-year-old daughter, Jaelynn, leaving their south Phoenix apartment.
He often kept track of his daughter through Facebook, checking her status and messaging her every now and then to check-in.
She stopped responding to his messages on Jan. 5. Jimmie said it was not like Jaelynn to ignore his messages for an extended period of time, nor had she ever gone missing.
